Loved everything about the cabin. We prefer to stay out of town and we’ve learned to navigate the backroads so we stay out of the traffic. This cabin was perfectly situated. The driveway was a little intimidating the first time up and down. This will be our anniversary cabin from now on

The cabin was in a great spot, isolated, but not too far of a drive from town. I would recommend bringing your own spices/seasonings if you are going to cook/grill at the cabin because there isn't much (garlic salt & red pepper flakes lol). The hot tub was fantastic and if it started raining a little bit it still felt nice! There is plentiful wildlife (squirrels, rabbits, turtles, chipmunks, & wild turkeys) on the property in addition to beautiful birds that sing all day. Every thing was clean & well kept, upon arrival our host said to let him know if we needed anything during our stay, and even provided some fresh farm eggs. We would absolutely return & recommend others to stay here if you get the chance!

This property exceeded our expectations! I highly recommend this cabin. The interior and exterior was an excellent condition. The couch in the living room was comfortable to sit on but the hide a bed was not very comfortable if you have to use it. I could not find any Cutlery knives so if you need those you might want to bring your own.

We stayed at “Hanging in There” through Molly’s Mountain Getaways, and honestly, it was exactly the kind of mountain getaway we were hoping for.The cabin was large, cozy, and incredibly comfortable. The bed deserves a special mention because it was probably the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in at a cabin. After a long day out exploring, getting back to that bed was something I genuinely looked forward to.The hot tub was another highlight. Those jets were exactly what we needed to relax and let the aches of the day disappear. We also spent a lot of time enjoying both the front porch and the screened-in back porch. There’s something really nice about just sitting outside, taking in the mountains, and not having anywhere you need to be.The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay, which made it easy to cook and feel at home rather than having to constantly go back out for things. We hardly had any problems with bugs, which was a pleasant surprise, although you're staying in the mountains, so seeing a few is just part of the deal. If you're expecting a completely bug-free experience, you're probably asking a mountain cabin to do something a mountain cabin can't do. One thing worth knowing before you book: the Wi-Fi isn't particularly fast, and there isn't a traditional satellite/cable box. Personally, I didn't consider either of those a negative.

The custom-built log cabin was beautiful, cozy, and perfect for relaxing as a family. It was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with plenty of privacy and a peaceful setting. We loved being able to relax and spend quality time together. It truly felt like a home away from home, and we would happily stay again.

Hôte : Pam York

The Yorks are from Russell Springs, KY and have visited the Great Smoky Mountains area for 30 years. We love the serenity and natural beauty of this area and look forward to spending more time there.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

In fact, we decided that we love it so much we bought 10 acres of property and had "Hanging in There" cabin custom built in 2015 and just recently finished New Beginnings in 2018. We are really excited to own this property and are excited to share it with other couples. We know that you will love the location and will enjoy your stay! Our cabins are conveniently located to town and the newly built Soaky Mountain Waterpark.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

This cabin is sitting on 10 acres of mostly wooded property. It has front and back porches with a section of the back porch being screened in. You walk right from the kitchen into the screen porch where you can sit and relax. It is common to see wildlife in the yard. The cabin is built handicapped accessible with a non ADA ramp and railing leading to the front door, wide doors and openings, lever knobs, handicapped commode, etc. There aren't many in the area built and furnished like this one. We pride ourselves in having immaculate craftsmanship and cleanliness that will pass the white glove test. All locks, door handles, countertops, etc. are sanitized after each stay as well as new water in the hot tub.
