The Shepherd's Rest, un hébergement unique à la ferme à quelques minutes d'Oamaru.

The Shepherd's Rest est situé sur une ferme en activité de 200 acres, mais à seulement 5 minutes en voiture du centre d'Oamaru. Notre emplacement est parfait pour ceux qui veulent explorer Oamaru et la région de Waitaki mais qui veulent aussi s'évader dans le pays.

Il est idéal pour 2 adultes.

Le Shepherds Rest est une cabane de berger confortable, une petite expérience de maison avec un peu de glamping!

Dormez bien dans le lit queen size avec des guirlandes au-dessus pour un peu d'effet magique.

Il dispose d'une kitchenette avec un mini-réfrigérateur, un cuiseur à riz, une plaque de cuisson à 2 feux, une verseuse électrique et un grille-pain ainsi que de la vaisselle et des couverts.

Il a une salle de bain avec douche, vanité et toilettes à compost.

Draps et serviettes fournis.

Chaises Cape Cod à l'extérieur, alors asseyez-vous avec un verre de vin et profitez de la vue. Idéal pour observer les étoiles la nuit et les perspectives sont vers les chaînes de Kakanui. Aussi un mini jardin d'herbes aromatiques.

Il n'y a PAS de WIFI - l'idée est de se détendre et d'échapper un peu à la technologie. Il y a une sélection de jeux et de livres pour vous amuser.

Wonderful Place to Stay

Loved 'Shepherd's Rest'! Felt welcomed by Jennie; we were comfortable and well settled. Outdoor bath was a hit, as was being greeted by the friendly alpacas and sheep each morning. Really quiet while still having the town accessible. Would highly recommend for an Omarau stay.

Lovely Shepard’s hut type glamping stay

Lovely little hut with everything you could need for a short stay. Clear instructions and nice touches including chocolates and bath robes. Alpaca by the bath were very entertaining!

Details have been thought through in this tiny hut, and our stay was short and sweet. Totally recommend it for a lovely getaway with a countryside feel, but still really close to Oamaru's town centre.

Quiet peaceful getaway. Beautiful outlook, Cute little hut with everything you need. The cheeky Alpacas will give you some laughs. Night sky is lit up with stars. I would highly recommend visiting.

The hut/tiny house was just beautiful! Cosy and welcoming, with the gently curved tongue in groove ceiling adding a sense of restfulness to it. The vista from the hut was stunning too. Idyllic!

What an amazing wee place to stay. Really clean and tidy. Welcoming, warm (heater was on for us) and inviting. Bed was so comfortable! We didnt get to use the outside bath, due to weather, but on clear night it would have been amazing.

Outstanding experience

What a complete gem. The hut was so tastefully and comfortably appointed with great little touches like board games, alpaca food and welcome chocolates. The location and views were delightful, so close to Oamaru but with a lovely rural outlook. Highly recommend for a romantic getaway.

Our family has have been hosting B&B guests for almost 6 years and The Shepherd's Rest is the latest addition to our farm, giving guests privacy and their own unique space.
We rear and fatten bulls and run a small flock of sheep, a lifestyle we love. Apart from working we also enjoy gardening, hiking, cooking and carpentry.

We love that while we live in a rural location the town of Oamaru is only a 5 - 10 minutes drive away! We get country living with the convenience of town and all its amenities.
