The cabin was fine for what it was. Don’t expect anything fancy, or any great amenities. My biggest gripe was the heater, it was 80 degrees downstairs and 40 degrees upstairs in the rooms. The stairs were incredibly steep, be careful! Also … get better curtains.

Cool and Clean Cabin

Cabin is clean and cozy. All you need is provided. From cooking to laundry and entertainment. Hot tub is a plus, clean backyard with space to hangout. Quiet neighborhood except for cars speeding off neighborhood could be loud at night.

Everything was as expected and worked well. We really enjoyed the stay and our pups enjoyed the backyard. Great value for the price.

Great location and well appointed

We enjoyed a weekend of skiing. The hot tub and BBQ were great, kitchen stocked. And our puppy loved the fenced yard and neighborhood walks. Close to everything.

Great place

Really enjoyed staying here while my daughter and I were visiting Big Bear. The house was very close and convenient to Big Bear, the grocery store and the trash facility. The house was a little older but very clean and had everything we needed. Check in was easy and smooth at the Cool Cabins rental office, had all of our info we needed printed out and ready for us. Would definitely stay here again!

Nice house!

This house was perfect for us. It had a fenced-in back yard and a gated front balcony which was perfect for our dog. The backyard had beautiful trees.

Great birthday weekend!

My family and I booked this cabin last minute, and I have to say we are very happy with our choice. It's a small cabin but perfect for a family of four and a small dog. Backyard was big enough for our dog to roam around. The cabin was very cozy. The area it is located was very quiet and peaceful. It's close to the village and other activities. When I had questions, the host would get back at me right away. We really enjoyed our weekend here.

Amazing location to summit and bear mountain. Only issue was the check out was supposed to be 12, they changed to 11. The day of check out the cleaners were there at 10am trying to get us to leave

1st cabin experience

It was small xmas gift to us taking the whole family to big bear to do the cabin experience. Everything you would need was provided in our cabin and we has one small issue was taken care of right away. I would rebook again

In general, this was a good stay. The neighborhood is awesome, and the patio is great. The place will gain with a few minor improved details, e.g., it needs curtains that really do their job. The existing curtains do not provide enough privacy. The two TVs are little and not enough services are provided. In general the TV entertainment offered here is a joke. There is not a DESK to place a laptop to work. Patio furniture looks cheap for the location.

No what I expected

Place was dirty. Stained carpet. Walls dirty. Shower and home curtains dirty. Towels looked like old discarded hospital towels. Cobwebs outside. Weeds in the backyard. Windows didn’t open properly so we couldn’t cool the place down. Bed uncomfortable. Left a night early because we dreaded staying another night.

As Described

This property met our needs. The hot tub and twin beds were a bit small, but we made it work. There also wasn't a ton of hot water for showers and the shower downstairs was either freezing or scalding hot. But aside from these relatively minor gripes, we had a great time and were comfortable throughout our stay. Thank you for hosting us!

Happy family stay at Moonridge

Great location for a stay in Big Bear. Close to everything and Moonridge has all the amenities that we needed. The hot tub is a great experience after an energetic day hiking.

Cabin in the Pines

The cabin is located in a good central neighborhood and was very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the hot tub very much one cold evening, and were glad to be able to have a nice yard for our little dogs. Next time we're in Big Bear, we'll be back!

Quick, responsive management

The home is adequate for 4 adults in an excellent location for skiing and a very nice neighborhood. For us the jacuzzi was a big selling point for relieving aches and pains after being on the slopes. We were there during a warm spell and we were comfortable - during a colder period you might have trouble keeping warm, although there are space heaters available and the fireplace was nice in the evenings. We had a few issues that we called management about and they responded extremely quickly, and went over and above my expectations. While this home wasn’t my first choice (we had to book last minute, so we didn’t have many properties to choose from), I’d say that any property managed by this company (Big Bear Cool Cabins) would be an excellent choice.

Great cozy cabin

This house was great. Not too big, not too small, perfect for 4 people. We had an amazing time, close to everything and the weather was perfect. The heating worked really well and it was really nice to use the fireplace at night. The backyard is bigger than it looks in pictures and the hot tub was really really really nice. It was so so so clean and the staff was so friendly. Great management company. Here's why I'm not giving 5 stars: - The kitchen could use some more amenities like a better coffee machine and a few more utensils, the fridge is old and outdated. - The internet was not reliable, so if you need to work from there, make sure you have a good data plan in case the internet stop working. It happened multiple times for us, although for a short amount of time each time it happened, it can be crucial in a 30 minutes meeting for example. - The price was a bit high for what you're getting.
