We were in Charlottesville for a wedding and stayed here for a few nights with our kids (6, 4, and 2). I wouldn't say this house is necessarily kid-friendly, but they loved it anyway! This was a very cool, renovated old house with plenty of space for all of us. The location was awesome and near everything we needed to get to. If we ever find ourselves in Charlottesville again, I wouldn't hesitate to book this house.
We had a wonderful stay for a wedding weekend. Itâs in a good location, close to restaurants and downtown. We brought our kids and had a sitter come there during the wedding since kids werenât invited. Thereâs some outdoor areas for kids to run around, so our kids were happy!
Very comfortable stay and fantastic location. Very short walk to the downtown mall (which was exceeded or expectations for food, shopping, and general cuteness). The house was great for time together with family. Will definitely stay again!
The house was just as described and was adorable. Very comfortable for our group of five! Conveniently located close to downtown. We would stay here again!
Home was newly renovated and a perfect place for a father and sons weekend. Easy access to all Charlottesville has to offer. Thank you so much for the amazing accommodations!!!
We had a great timeâshort walk to downtown although it was pretty chilly so we hopped in an Uber a few times! House was spacious and clean! Kitchen was well equipped - could use a few more glasses. Beds were comfy and the bathroom/shower was nice. Definitely would recommend! .
The house worked perfectly for our long weekend family visit. The kitchen was well equipped and the house was comfortable and attractive. It was blazingâ hot in July and the a/c worked great. It was a very short walk to Belmont dining and shopping which is just great. I enjoyed morning walks to Belle for coffee and there were just too many restaurants with too little time! The neighborhood is in transition. Only suggestion I have would be to install a garbage disposal. Overall, we were very happy and recommend.
The location was great - we walked to our event in downtown mall, and to end of block to get coffee and breakfast.
Common area was perfect for family to hang out and play games.
Third âbedroomâ was incredibly small - not even a closet.
While the home in general was clean, the kitchen items (plates, utensils, pots and pans) were not. We had to wash everything we used.
The place was so cute. Rustic and homey. We loved the Gorgeous and unique art and real wood flooring. The open layout of the place was fabulous as we could move about from kitchen to den to dining room easily and always have easy conversations. We loved the private half bath off the laundry room for times when you needed privacy. The rooms upstairs were all open to a landing with a gorgeous mirror where we all were able to 'get ready' together while listening to music and chatting. Beds were comfy and bathroom was roomy and clean. We spent time outside drinking morning coffee and catching up on the cute patio. Easy 5 minute walk to the Mall where we enjoyed and easily and safely walked home that evening. We cooked a couple meals and our only complaint was that the kitchen needed some basic cooking utensils that we needed. Overall, we had a blast and the house was a nice fit to our weekend away with just the ladies, catching up and laughing.
Comfortable seating for the entire group of five adults on the first floor. Cool wall art and lovely fixtures. Open floor plan made it great for a group that wanted to be together.
One bedroom was very small, but the other two were a good size. Comfortable mattresses and bedding. Plenty of towels. Downside is that the bathrooms did not have locks.
Iâd describe the street as transitional. House across the street was questionable. However, easy walk to the Belmont neighborhood with lots of cute restaurants with delicious food. Doable walk to the Charlottesville mall.
Could use a few more glasses/mugs. Great visit overall.
I visited for the weekend with my two teenage daughters. We had a great time, and this home helped.
Pluses:
âOverall nicely renovated and modernized home.
âGreat restaurants (Tavola, Mockingbird, The Local, Conmole) and coffee shop (Belle) two blocks away. âThe full bath is very nice with a large shower.
âWegmans just a few minutes drive.
âOff street parking for two cars (street parking around there can be challenging)
Minuses:
âKitchen could be more stocked. No large frying pan. There were only three of us but three water glasses seemed light.
âHouse is drafty, which was noticeable for us because temps were in the 30s outside most of the weekend. The house was able to maintain 72 degrees in most places but the furnace had to work pretty hard and this made it feel very dry inside.
âWiFi wasnât working (no big deal for us).
âCouple of the houses across the street are a bit sketchy looking with broken down cars in front and people coming in and out late at night etc. but we didnât experience any problems.
Canât beat the location!! We were there for a show at JPJ and wanted somewhere we could walk to the downtown mall as well. Next time we come to Charlottesville we will try and stay here again!
