We loved the charm of the historic house itself, but unfortunately, the lack of cleanliness severely impacted our stay. Upon arrival, we had to wash the bedding because it was stained with bodily fluids. Additionally, we found a major safety hazard when our 10-month-old grandson pulled two vapes out from under the couch. A thorough cleaning would have made this a much better experience.

Perfect getaway!

This home was just the best property! Plenty of space for a group of friends to sprawl out and be comfortable. Nice fenced in back yard for puppers. Kitchen was fully stocked. The home is perfect location just seconds away from McDonald’s, coffee shop and gas station. Definitely will stay here again if we are in the area!

Perfect location

The property was huge. Nice and clean and comfortable. Had everything we needed. The ping pong table was a big plus. We were there for my dad's funeral and I would love to come back for a vacation. My only complaint was the sink in the master bedroom was a very slow drain.

Spacious

Very large. Real beds. It really does have 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms as advertised, and each bedroom has a king or queen bed. Also has 2 living rooms and a game room. Perfect if you want space and no one wants a futon.

Our Second stay just as good as the first!

We love this place when we visit Mountain Home. For being in a busy part of Gassville, it still has privacy from prying eyes. It's close to everything we need. We have stayed here twice in a month. We love the fence for our dog. We also love the huge carport. Very unique. The home is well outfitted. Yes, as others have stated, it's a bit dated, but very comfortable and roomy. The A/C works great and that is sometimes a problem in other houses we've stayed in. As long as this is available, we will make it our go too.

Great Stay

The house has lots of room and everything you'd need for your stay. The fence is a huge plus as we have a small dog that we don't leave home without. It's very, very hard to find homes with fences. This home is close to Mountain Home, and all surrounding activities as stated in the description. Internet is lightning fast throughout the whole house. It has an enormous carport, so if it is raining you can load and unload without getting wet. We are staying there again in the near future and will keep it on our list of favorites. Thank you so much to the host.

This house has a lot of space! It has wonderful vibe. The rooms feel like you are really in grandma’s home. I appreciated the design and sunken living room. This was definitely a high end home back in the day. The furnishings are a cool time capsule if you enjoy antiques. A very bright space with natural light. The kitchen is well outfitted with a mishmash of equipment if you choose to cook. Because it is an older home, you may bring a couple extension cords for your electronic devices. Outlets are scarce. Everything in the home is older but for the most part maintained. There is a fenced yard for dogs and that is fantastic. The house is pushed back off of main roads so there is not a lot of noise. It is very quiet. The family room couches and recliners are comfortable. They have a library of vhs videos and a VCR to play them. It is truly a step back in time for sure. The house could use a good dusting, detailed vacuuming and a mopping. We have stayed here several times. The location is great. We will stay here again.

Family Thanksgiving

We rented this home to have a place for family visiting the area for Thanksgiving. It was very convenient to our family in Mt. Home as well as quiet and spacious. We loved having the ping-pong table. Provided lots of enjoyment for the teenagers as well as grandma. There was a fenced in area in the back for our dog. Checking in was super easy. We found plenty of cooking utensils to aid in our Thanksgiving preparation. We took our own Apple TV box and had plenty of football/sports viewing. Washer and dryer worked well so we had plenty of towels. We did not figure out how to adjust the water in the "green shower" until the last day.We would rent again.

Unclean

There was plenty of space. The house itself was very unclean. I never got messages back from the hosts. The house has potential but needs help. There was no cleaning supplies to do any cleaning myself. No dustpan for the broom. We thought we were the first guests to rent it out because of how unprepared and unclean everything was. I am not trying to be rude, but we were very disappointed and want to be honest for future guests.

Would not come back

Size of the house was great. Large covered car port was wonderful for parking motorcycles. Location of the house was good. Close to gas and groceries. House had a strong musty smell. Floors and carpets dirty Dead bugs found in the Master Bathroom light fixture. Bathroom towels stuck to nasty stuff in lower bathroom cabinet master bathroom. Not enough toilet paper. We had to buy some. Some of the kitchen pans pretty beat up Freezer/ice maker not working. Large ice dam in freezer. It's been not working for quite some time. Dishwasher did not work. Outdoor furniture was very dirty, bird poop and grime on them. No hose around to wash them off for outside use.

Hi Patrick, We are sorry to hear that your recent stay with us fell short of expectations. The homeowner appreciates your feedback, and they have shared it with their cleaner to ensure that any cleanliness concerns are thoroughly addressed for their upcoming guests. We understand that you had some trouble with the dishwasher even after the cleaner showed you how to use it, but we can confirm that it is working correctly. The owner has also stocked new pots and pans in the kitchen and will be replacing the fridge soon. We are looking forward to helping the owner continue to host satisfied guests in their vacation home, and we hope that you keep us in mind for your future travels! Best, the Evolve Team

Step Back In Time

I have thought long and hard about what to say. I will start by saying that the house was clean. There was very little dust especially considering there was a ton of things in the house. The floors were also very clean. Overall, the cleanliness was great. What you get is a very large clean house. With that being said, after having stayed there, I do not feel like the price is in line with what is offered. The best way I can describe it, it feels like you are staying at someone's house, but not in a good way. There are tons of used books and many personal trinkets throughout the house. It is very dated. Probably wouldn't have been too bad had I not stumbled upon the guest books to the previous owners' funerals in the closet I was going to hang my clothes in. It made it feel a little personal. Those are my gripes. Otherwise, it was a good stay. There was plenty of gas for the grill, great fenced in yard and plenty of space. My nephew loved playing the piano. The fact that every bedroom has a sliding glass door to a concrete patio should not be over looked either. We enjoyed our stay but it felt like the folks passed away and their house was just thrown on the market. I would stay there again however, with reservations.

Guys fly fishing trip

Comfortable house with plenty of room for 4 people to each have their own bedroom. 3 bedrooms share the same bathroom. Centrally located within a short drive to groceries, restaurants, and Dally's fly shop. Somewhat quirky main bathroom, but functional.

Prepard for Guests

The property was perfect for what we needed regarding space. We were in town for my brother's memorial. It looked like no one had prepared the property for guest. Most of the overhead lights did not work. One shower/tub was unusable due to needing repairs. So 6 people had to use the master shower. The AC vents that were located on the ceiling were closed in the back bedrooms and were very hot. There was a lot of trash in the yard. Again, it was like it wasn't ready for people to stay. The beds were clean thank goodness. That would have been the icing on the cake.

Lovely place!

The place was very spacious and lovely. We were able to get in easily. The house had almost everything we needed to make our stay wonderful. The only thing we couldn't find were blow/hair dryers. But it was so warm and sunshiny outside that my hair was dry within minutes. Definitely a wonderful place.to stay.

dated but most part good

Good luck in getting a responce from your contact person, sent two e-mails a few days in advance and one call that day to Samantha and got no return contacts, the house was dated but nice, clean and was happy with the value. The kids enjoyed the ping pong table, adults too! Lots of room in house, Outside grill area and outside yard area needs attention, grill area was very dirty, benches and tables way to dirty to use. I would rate the house inside an 8 out of 10. Couple of small items needed repair, hard to get tv stations to work, in fact only got one room working, Would rent again.
