The most beautiful home. It was so comfortable and inviting. It has everything you need and probably things you didn’t think of. I loved sitting with coffee and taking in the view.

One of the best vacation rentals we have stayed at in a while. Communication was great. Check in / out instructions were a breeze. The property itself was excellent. The cabin was clean, modern and cozy. The area was extremely quiet, but still close to dining & activates. All the beds were comfortable. All the bathrooms were updated and very nice. The kitchen was stocked with all the items you need for a short or extended stay. The newly built (or well kept) decks/porches were wonderful to sit out on an enjoy the weather. All the furniture (indoor and outdoor) is like new or just well kept. Again, the property is all around just a quality stay. We will definitely stay again if we vacation in the area again.

Family Friendly. Close to Slopes.

Lovely home that is family friendly and clean. We enjoyed its proximity to Beech Mountain Ski Resort. Communication with the host was easy.

My family and I had the best weekend. Tori was great with communicating with me at all times and suggested some really awesome local things to do and see. The check in and out process was so easy! We would definitely stay again!

We had such a wonderful stay! You can tell there’s so much care and attention to detail in this home. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need, the beds and couch were super comfy. The decks were our favorite spot especially for watching the wildlife in the mornings. We loved that the upper deck could be closed off for kids and pups. It was such a peaceful, perfect trip, we are already talking about when we can come back!

It was a very nice property. I didn’t read close enough to realize that there were many flights of stairs. The property would be challenging for some individuals. The ice on the stairs leading into the home was dangerous esp for my 77 year old parents. Overall the home was very nice and cozy and we enjoyed our stay. Great location to the slopes and other tourist areas.

No disappointments

Everything was as described, so the visit was as expected. However, the owners were not able to predict the wonderful walks we took around the neighborhood or the many hours we spent working and relaxing on the deck. We really enjoyed our stay.

Snowy escape for 9

We stayed MLK weekend and it was so wonderful. Property was very quiet and cozy and had plenty of room for 3 couples plus our 3 kids. We really enjoyed our deer friends that came to visit every morning. Property was very close to Beech Mtn resort, which was so nice after a long day of skiing. Tori (owner) was excellent at responding. If/when we come back to the area, we will def be staying here again.

Great house with so much moutain charm

My family had so much fun and enjoyed spending family time and meals together on the decks. We visited the Land of Oz, had breakfast at Bellas, dinner at Brick Oven Pizza and enjoyed all the wild life. Owners were very friendly and great to communicate with. Very helpful and prompt with any questions and recommendations.

Amazing weekend @ Lazy Bear

Absolutely enchanted by our weekend stay at this mountain cabin in Beech Mountain! The cabin provided the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. The panoramic views from the cozy living room windows were nothing short of breathtaking. Waking up to the serene beauty of the mountains was a true treat. The cabin’s interior was thoughtfully designed, with every amenity we needed readily available.We found the kitchen well-equipped, making it easy to prepare our meals while enjoying the scenery. Overall, our stay at Lazy Bear was a memorable experience. If you're seeking a tranquil mountain getaway with modern comforts, this house is a fantastic choice.

Annual family NC mountain vacation

Our family takes an annual trip to different places in the NC mountains and this was our first time to stay in Beech Mountain. We really liked the location and the house. It was clean, well maintained and overall had all the amenities (kitchen supplies, washer/dryer, linen, etc.) we needed for an enjoyable stay. The stairs to the house were a challenge but all of us (young to old) managed very well. We joked that climbing the stairs helped prepare us for hiking! We loved the two decks which were perfect for quiet mornings and late suppers. We will consider renting the house again. Bonus...if you love wildlife...we had many deer visitors and saw at least 2 sightings of bear in the neighborhood! Loved it!

Mom’s 70th Birthday/Thanksgiving weekend

My Mom’s 70th birthday was the day before Thanksgiving so we all decided to get away and celebrate her birthday and the holiday together. We had 4 adults, our 20 year old and 17 year old children and our 4 year old Golden Retriever. The cabin was everything the listing said and more. It has been beautifully redone inside. The bathrooms were gorgeous! The beds and couches were super comfortable! The kitchen was FULLY loaded - we made a full Thanksgiving meal for 6 and didn’t need to bring anything from home to use for the large meal. There was plenty of space for all of us. The views were breathtaking!!! We walked for miles daily seeing so many deer. Three bucks were actually in our yard at one time. We stood on the balcony just watching them. Besides walking the area we never left the property. We just wanted to be together and relax. The cabin definitely gave us what we were looking for! We will definitely be back! Also, Tori, the property manager, was very responsive with all my questions and super sweet! There was nothing we had need of while being there. Highly recommend!!!!!

Great rental, exceeded expectations and we would recommend. The hosts put a lot of thoughtfulness into little things that made us feel very welcome and comfortable. It is worth noting that the stairs to the loft are incredibly steep and open between the steps so just keep that in mind in terms of which guests you plan to put up there. Young adults and/or teenagers would be great for that space. All in all, great experience and we look forward to returning some day.
