Beautiful five bedroom villa with sea views and pool in Kefalonia

Villa Velanidi is an exceptionally spacious villa nestled in the hills between Kourkoumelata and Kaligata in a peaceful and private location. New for 2014 is free wifi in the villa. The villa is constructed to the highest standards with air conditioning, pool, barbeque, views to the Ionian sea, and a large gardens. The ground floor comprises a spacious kitchen with oven, hob, and dishwasher; a dining area for 10; a large lounge with TV/DVD and a balcony looking out to the sea; a cloakroom; and double bedroom with en suite. The upper floor has one double bedroom with en suite and balcony, 2 twin rooms each with their own balconies, and one further bathroom. The lower floor opens to the pool and has a twin bedded room next to a bathroom. There is a further large casual area with towel pegs, pool and beach equipment storage space and casual seating. All bedrooms have a sea view. There is plenty of space for fun & relaxation.

The pool is a large at 5m x 9m with a veranda at one end for shade. There are large gardens, a barbecue and wonderful views of the sea and the mountains as well as olive groves and fruit trees. It is quiet with privacy and easy walks to the village of Kaligata, the village of Kourkoumelata and Avithos beach. The kitchen is fully equipped with tableware choices for inside or balcony dining. There is a washing machine and ironing facilities. There is easy storage for your beach/pool towels and games and a casual seating area on the lower floor as well as a table tennis table and equipment for your enjoyment. On those rare days you want to be inside the air conditioned living room has a flat screen TV & DVD player, lots of DVDs, games, and a library of books for your use. We provide linen and bath towels, cleaning 2-3 times per week and a welcome hamper on arrival. Our local agents are on hand for any local questions and help you may need.

Travel details: The airport is about 5 km or 10 minutes by car so you can maximise your holiday time. Villa Velanidi is not under the flight path so there is no noise from airplanes. The drive from Athens is 2-1/2 to 3 hours plus 1-1/2 to 3 hours ferry ride.

Gardens: The poolside garden is a large grassed area which is perfect for lawn games or kicking around a ball and the villa has a badminton set which can be erected for use in this area. The gardens around the rest of the villa have flowers, shrubs and fruit trees. Farther away but surrounding the villa are dozens of olive trees.
