Luxueux Cottage Retreat pratique à Williamsburg, Yorktown et Richmond.

Situé idéalement au large de I64 et directement entre Richmond et Williamsburg, Moss Side Cottage est une maison récemment rénovée qui se trouve juste à côté de Moss Side Manor (VRBO fiche # 684301). Emmenez toute la famille, groupe d'amis, ou au bureau et louer les deux maisons! Ils sont séparés par un champ et facilement accessible à pied. Il y a 240 acres qui relient les propriétés et font une promenade dans la nature agréable.

Le gîte dispose de trois chambres pouvant accueillir confortablement jusqu'à 6 personnes et deux salles de bains. Une grande cuisine moderne ouvre sur une chambre familiale spacieuse et confortable. Il y a une buanderie avec pleine grandeur, laveuse à chargement frontal et sécheuse ainsi que d'un garage attenant pour 2 voitures. La maison est entièrement équipée avec tout ce dont vous pourriez avoir besoin; fournitures de cuisine, vaisselle et appareils électroménagers, literie, serviettes, articles de toilette, sèche-cheveux, et télévision par câble.
Il y a un pont arrière généreuse garnie de bancs et d'un patio table / chaises et barbecue au gaz qui donne sur un grand terrain boisé, privé.

Moss Side est à quelques minutes de l'épicerie et des restaurants. Williamsburg et Richmond sont un voyage de 20-30 minutes rapide haut ou le bas I64.

Wonderful amenities it was located in a perfect spot for us to go back-and-forth from the Race Track. We had one dog. She was very comfortable there. Look forward to possibly renting it again this coming summer.

Moss Side Cottage is very convenient to Williamsburg and Richmond, and is also family, kid and pet friendly. There is a large back yard, as well as acres of wooded land to hike and meander through the natural landscape. Within minutes you can be enjoying many cultural amenities and activities, from the James River Plantations, wineries, golf courses, antique shops, museums, restaurants, parks, nature trails, fishing spots, shopping and fine dining. Transportation is also a breeze. Interstate 64 and 295, two airports, Amtrack, and Greyhound bus depot are within minutes away.

Country Charm

This home and space is exceptionally outfitted for a large family. My children and dog had plenty of space indoors and outdoors to roam. 4 beds and 3 full baths make this space efficient for a large group. Communication and response to any question is rapid. The home is well maintained, updated appliances, and a 2 car garage. This home is very accommodating. My family cannot wait to come back and stay here again for a visit to Virginia.

Perfect Holiday Getaway

The house was perfect for our two-night stay during our Christmas Town visit. The area is quaint and only 30 minutes to Williamsburg. The yard backed to a farm / farmette and we were able to see the neighboring cows. Quiet area and easy access to highway.

Clean and comfortable

We loved our stay!! The home was warm and comfortable with a fireplace! The home had lovely views of the pasture and woods and was very quiet (no city noises). The stars were so bright and we enjoyed sitting on the deck beside the fire table! I would definitely stay here again if I’m in the area.

Most relaxing and peaceful stay

My wife and I absolutely enjoyed this cottage. We look forward to revisiting this place as soon as possible. The host was fantastic. The place was clean and relaxing. We have never stayed at a better place when going through VRBO. The views the sounds and the atmosphere just one of the most peaceful and relaxing places we have ever visited. I would recommend this place to anybody that wants to visit this area.

Wedding weekend

My granddaughter got married at Historic Jasmine this weekend and we were fortunate enough to have found Moss Cabin for our family. It is a wonderful place-cozy and comfortable and so clean. The surroundings were lovely and relaxing. I’m hoping that we get a chance to stay there again soon!! Chloe was wonderful to deal with and was responsive to any questions we had!!!

Wonderful property

Well maintained, well equipped rental property. Many small details that you do not see in many rentals. The owner understands that the little things sometimes makes the difference from hand soap at all sinks to coffee pods in the Kitchen. The kitchen was well equipped even though some pots need to be replaced. We really enjoyed our stay.

The current property owner, John Poindexter, an entrepreneur as well as a land and building preservationist, is a native Texan. He currently resides in Houston while considering New Kent, Virginia his second home.

With family roots in New Kent dating to the late 1600's, John began a property acquisition and restoration effort in 2013. By 2014 it included 2500 acres of rural property situated near Williamsburg, VA. The acquired properties are once again becoming farming acreage and managed forests, characteristic of the colonial era.
Unlike most entrepreneurs whose interest New Kent has captured, his intentions have been to protect and preserve.

Moss Side Cottage, part of the Moss Side Manor Estate was in disrepair when purchased in 2014. With the guidance of local craftsmen and talented advisers, the property was revitalized and updated. Moss Side's acres were once in the Poindexter family, from which it was purchased and operated for generations by the Christian family. The Christian family still lives in New Kent and remains close neighbors and friends. The Christian's were pleased to witness the masterful renovation and to see their beloved family homeplace (Moss Side Manor) restored to its original elegance.

The convenient location allows access to the wineries and golf courses and the James River Plantations, and is located near Richmond and Williamsburg, as well as Hampton Roads and Northern VA/ Washington D.C.
