Another Great Vacation!

This was our second time renting this condo at Bernard’s Landing. We had such a great time last summer, we decided to add three more nights to our stay this summer. The location, views, and access to the lake and amenities can’t be beat. Plus, John and Deb are so accommodating and responsive…they always respond right away to any questions. We will definitely be back again!

Great spot overlooking the lake

The communication with the owners, the location overlooking smith mountain lake, the restaurant recommendations and everything was very good. Small issue with WiFi not working the first few hours, but the owners replied and helped resolve that quickly, so it wasn’t a big deal. Overall would highly recommend. Thanks!

Time spent there was wonderful, however the ceiling in the apt we stayed is very thin. Upstairs neighbors were very noisy and had a dog they liked to play with at 1am. Not ideal for those who like to sleep during that time. Too noisy for a quiet place.

We sure wish everyone would let us know when something is wrong during their stay rather than leaving it in a review, after the fact. We definitely want everyone to have a great time. We don’t and the resort doesn’t take noise or any other issues lightly. All it takes is a call, text to me or Bernard’s Security and the issue is handled within minutes! I can and will always guarantee it to my guests! So again sorry but just let me know and so I can fix it!

True R & R!

I wish I lived closer! Was in area for a wedding, so unfortunately, did not have nearly enough free time to truly celebrate being in the lovely condo (clean, well-kept, kitchen well stocked, kayak, tubes, gorgeous location and great service - emails were always responded to quickly.) Bernards Landing Resort property is also lovely. Small beach - but large enough and never overcrowded and beautiful lake, bikes to rent nearby, quick convenience store - General Dollar - about 5 minutes away with everything you need and large supermarket about 15 minutes away. Again, owners were terrific! I had a "little" snafu at end of our stay and John could not have been more lovely or thoughtful. Hoping my son ends up at college in the area, as we'd love to stay there again!

We live in Virginia, work hard during the year and wanted a place to go to get away from the daily grind. We hope to share a place other families can come to get away also! Although this may be a new listing we are certainly not new to VRBO. We have another condo in Ocean Isle Beach, NC and plan to bring a great vacation experience to the lake with great reviews as our other condo. Please see our other listing.
