Hinton Lodge - Petit 'cottage' anglais du début du siècle très bien aménagé

Lorsque vous arrivez à Hinton Lodge, vous vous sentez soudain loin de toute l'agitation de votre vie courante. Située sur une petite route de campagne, la maison est loin du trafic, mais très facile d'accès par voie routière ou ferroviaire. Hinton Lodge est une maisonnette typiquement anglaise de la période Victorienne, avec tout le charme et le caractère de cette époque. Elle est parfaite pour des séjours 'en amoureux' avec un lit à baledaquin pour les romantiques. Mais aussi idéale pour les familles avec jeunes enfants. Les enfants adorent voir des dizaines de lapins et de faisants dans les champs, donner des carottes à Magic le cheval de la maison, pendant que les parents peuvent s'assoir sur la véranda pour apprécier la vue. Les gourmets aimeront faire une visite au pub 'Le Linnett' dans le village de Great Hinton, réputé pour sa bonne carte. En hiver, vous pourrez allumer le feu de cheminée, ou regarder un DVD si le temps n'est pas beau.



Accès à Hinton Lodge: Par avion:
L'aéroport le plus près est celui de Bristol (1 heure 15 minutes). Vous pourrez louer une voiture, ou un taxi vous emmènera à Hinton Lodge pour 40 livres sterling. Nous pouvons vous organisez le taxi si vous le désirez.
Heathrow est à 1 heure 40 minutes en voiture. Toutes les companies aériennes y attérissent.

Par train:
Si vous venez de Londres, le train le plus rapide vient de Londres à Westbury. La gare est à 10 minutes en voiture d'Hinton Lodge.

Parking - Vous pourrez parquer 1 ou 2 voitures devant la maison.

Provisions : Afin de vous faciliter la vie, nous vous mettons quelques victuailles au départ de votre séjour pour que vous n'ayez pas à faire des courses dès votre arrivée. Vous trouverez du pain, du lait, du jus d'orange, du beurre, de la confiture, des céréales, des fruits, du fromage et des oeufs .... assez pour le premier petit déjeuner au moins.

Nous mettons à votre disposition tous les draps et les serviettes de toilette, ainsi que du bois pour la cheminée en suffisance dans le réduit du jardin.

A lovely cosy cottage , which was very nicely presented . Situated in a country lane which suited us so we could chill out for a few days. We would certainly go back there in the future to get away from it all.

My 81 year old disabled mother and I have just returned from a stay at Hinton Lodge. We chose it primarily for its downstairs facilities and easy access. We weren't disappointed! It's a beautiful lodge house, well laid out. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the lovely walk in shower made life a lot easier! The entire property was furnished to a high standard and had everything we could have wanted, and more. There were lots of little extra touches that made it special, even for dogs! It felt extremely homely. The location is great for exploring beautiful Wiltshire. We hope to stay at Hinton Lodge again.I'd recommend the property for all ages, but particularly those less able.

What a lovely place to stay - truly a gem

We had such a wonderful stay. You are on the countryside for sure. Lovely walks on quiet roads and hiking paths. Waking up on the morning to cows mooing and the birds chirping.

Short stay at Hinton Lodge

We stayed at Hinton Lodge whilst visiting family and it made the perfect base. Everything was comfortable, clean and as described. Due to a last minute family emergency Clea was incredibly accommodating to some late minute changes, which was very much appreciated. Would definitely recommend a stay if visiting the area.

Lovely home in a beautiful setting

We loved our short stay at Hinton Lodge! The home was clean, beds were comfortable, and the setting was amazing. It was very convenient for touring Stonehenge, Bath, Cotswolds and Stratford-upon-Avon, but was also a very quiet and peaceful place to be at the end of the day. Take the footpath across the street for a wonderful countryside walk.

Enjoyable stay at Hinton Lane

We were a family of 5 and had a great stay at the cottage. The hostess was very friendly and quick to respond to messages and accepted our request for early check in as we were flying in from the Middle East. The cottage was clean and kitchen fully equipped. The cottage is on a quiet lane and surrounded by the countryside. Lovely place to relax and explore.

Birthday to remember

We booked this cottage to celebrate my 50th birthday with a small group of friends and family. It was fantastic, the location is amazing, and the cottage is lovely. The outside space is great and it was magical when the white horse came over to say hello. The owners are great, very friendly, easy to contact and helpful.

Magical cozy cottage!

My family and I spent two special days at Hinton Lodge. The location was perfect - close to so many places we wanted to visit, such as Bath and Stonehenge, and situated in a gorgeous setting amidst fields and bridle paths. The house was comfortable and charming, well-equipped for cooking, and we made good use of the fireplace one night. We slept very well in the beds, and appreciated the peacefulness of this lovely home. Our host and housekeeper were very responsive and helpful. We highly recommend this property.

What a gorgeous property! We got a little list (Thanks Google) but once we found it, we were so happy. Beautiful cottage, thanks for the milk for the coffee. Using the heaters was a little confusing but we eventually figured it out. It is a little out of the way from places but for us, that was the point. We had a car and could easily get to Bath, Stonehenge, and other points of interest.

Great lodge

Stayed for 3 nights and I have say this is the best place that we stayed during our 2 weeks vacation exploring Cotswold. The lodge was a really awesome country home living. It was very quiet, very homey, and quite comfortable. My wife wished that we could stay longer. Everything worked, appliances, water heater, heater, etc. Communication with the owner was very quick and easy. My son was excited with the horse next door. I would, without a doubt, stay here again if I were in the area.

Hello, I'm Clea, your host at Hinton Lodge. We bought our property in 2000 and have hosted people from all over the world in our small little quaint cottage in Wiltshire for over 20 years. Hinton Lodge used to be the gate house to our own house, so we changed the entrance to ours to give complete privacy to the guests staying at Hinton Lodge with parking in front. It has been such a joy to meet so many people coming from different parts of the country and the world over the years. People tend to come back time and again at Hinton Lodge as it is so cosy and quiet, particularly if you come from a big city. All you can hear is the noise of the birds when you wake up. We love to travel ourselves and wanted to create a home from home where you have all you need for a peaceful stay in the beautiful English countryside. We hope you'll enjoy your time at Hinton Lodge if you choose to come and stay with us.

We bought Hinton Lodge more than 20 years ago here in Wiltshire because we love the English countryside and because Wiltshire is a beautiful county with so many delightful places to visit within easy reach. There are the villages of Lacock with its old Abbey, Castle Coombe, Devizes with its many canal locks, stunning cities such as Bath with its Roman Baths, famous Circle, the Jane Austen museum and countless delicious restaurants, Salisbury with its cathedral, the less well known but truly wonderful sacred site of the Avebury Stone Circle, as well as the better known and world heritage site of Stonehenge and so much more. Hinton Lodge is within minutes of gorgeous walks on Salisbury Plain if you have a dog or just love walking. Longleat Park and House are also nearby with so much to do for the whole family . We could go on and on and on about all the places you can get to from Hinton Lodge. You will certainly have plenty to do during your stay.

Hinton Lodge is a little gem of a place. It is small, but that's what makes it so special. It was designed to be very compact, yet practical for 4 guests. Although Hinton Lodge dates of the early 1900s, it has been lovingly restored and kept up to date, respecting the old charm whilst bringing it into the 21st century with all modern amenities. We hope you will fall in love with it as we have. You can relax on the porch and sip a nice glass of wine in the summer, or enjoy the open fire in the winter with a nice cup of tea. Whatever you do, whether you choose to be out and about all day making the most of what Wiltshire has to offer, or stay cosily in the cottage to relax and recharge, you will have a restorative time there. Hinton Lodge is perfect for families who love the fact that you can run around the house with the Jack and Jill bathroom, or come for a romantic stay with the beautiful 4 poster bed in the master bedroom, or even bring your furry friends as we now welcome well behaved dogs at Hinton Lodge.
