Best VRBO in west maui

It was a very clean, perfect location for families who want to be home bodies but also want to be at the beach without getting in a car driving ! Love it we will return soon

Great location

The place is a little bit dated but pretty comfy and has everything needed, it is also compensated with its great location, close to some beautiful beaches and your own next door park with access to the beach.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit is very low key, minimal amenities but you really don’t need much when you are on Maui. The kitchen area is very small with under sinkspace that could be used for storage some reason was boarded up. The condo is small but worked for our needs.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: That is what my 4 year old calls Hale Kai, her 2nd home!!! We love this place. the location is great and the amenities are perfect. We love the park and pool, the beaches on either side are great for swimming snorkeling and turtle watching. The badass coffee shop is a bonus along with the farmers market that is every other day across the street.

The properties along Lower Honoapiilani Rd are older, smaller and suffer from proximity to the road. But you can’t beat the proximity to the sea and the pool deck with the ocean nearly splashing your toes at high tide.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We always have a great time when we vacation in Maui. Staying at the Hale Kai gives us comfort and location, location, location. It is right on the ocean with views to die for. We love watching the family activities at the park next door which gives us a more local feel rather than just seeing other tourists. Our unit was comfortable and clean and the office staff as always are helpful and friendly.

Best location in West Maui!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved our stay at Hale Kai #103. The building itself is in a really great location of West Maui adjacent to Honokowai Beach Park and close to the best beaches like Ka'anapali, Napili, Honolua, etc. Unit #103 is situated right at the water's edge and next to the park so the kids can climb the tree, search for shells, play at the park, and with the reef so close to the sand, it provides a nice barrier for younger kids to play in the surf safely. The pool is nice and overlooks the water. Plus the condo itself had all the amenities one would need for their stay in Hawaii.

Reviewer Comments: We love the Hale Kai and especially ground units next to the park where we can stroll a few steps to the beach and have morning coffee while watching the whales. This unit has a perfect location with fabulous view. The unit could be a bit better with a couple of throw rugs in the bedroom and living room. Also some better plastic ware for out at the pool. The very large stereo/radio doesn't work and the kitchen clock doesn't work, but all in all a great lace to stay.

Wonderful place for a family vacation!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family had the most amazing time at Hale Kai and in this condo! The furniture is much more updated that it shows in the photo and it had everything we needed to make it feel like home. The location of this particular unit is unbeatable as the patio is just steps away from the ocean and beach. Everything you need is also within walking distance which was lovely. It was a bit of a tight squeeze to fit 4 people but we managed. The pull out couch is about the size of a queen bed and takes up almost the whole living room when pulled out. Staff were wonderful and friendly! Would happily book this condo again if we are lucky enough to visit Maui a second time!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been coming to Hale Kai 1-2 a times a year for the last 6 years. We love the location and the natural amenities. From the local coffee shop and farmers market across the street to the fresh fish store down the block, you can stay in the neighborhood your whole trip. The only new thing that was disappointing was that our usual spot room 103 had not had the hedges clipped down like they usually are. You couldn't sit at your lanai table and see the ocean like you could in the past,,,,you need to trim back those hedges!! 103 is literally the only condo affected by this and it put a damper on the stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I enjoy this complex and stay here when I travel to Maui. The complex has everything you need with a laundry, beach access and a pool. I found property management staff to be very responsive and helpful. The unit was clean and furnishings were comfortable and at a good height for those that might have trouble with mobility. I made most of my meals and found the kitchen had all that was needed for such. There was a Roku tv. So I was able to sign on to apps I like to watch. I like the view of the park and ocean from the living room and pool view from the bedroom. The landscaping has been updated too. It’s close to shopping and restaurants. It’s a lovely place to stay!
