A beautiful house and garden right in the jungle. We saw monkeys, sloths, lizards, parrots and toucan. The highlight of the week was watching a sloth giving birth in the tree next to the balcony. The pool is clean and well maintained. We loved Costa and Rica and we're devastated to leave. We will be returning.

Great house

The house was perfect for our family. We enjoyed the AC in living areas and the pool. The bedrooms and bathrooms were nice sizes and the beds were comfortable. The washer and dryer were also nice. We saw sloths, monkeys, iguanas, and toucans from the house which was exciting! The driveway was pretty steep, and it was a little further away from Quepos than expected but we were able to walk to a small grocery and a large food court. Uber was easily accessible and reasonably priced.

Jene, we’re so glad to hear that Casa Elena was a great fit for your family and that you enjoyed the comfort of the A/C, pool, and spacious bedrooms. It’s always a thrill to see the local wildlife—sloths, monkeys, toucans, and iguanas right from the house definitely adds to the experience! While Casa Elena offers a peaceful setting just outside the town center, it’s still conveniently located—just a 5-minute drive to both the stunning beaches and the famous Manuel Antonio National Park, and still close to the heart of Quepos. We’re also glad you discovered the nearby food court and grocery store, both within walking distance, and found Uber to be a reliable option for getting around. We’d love to welcome you back anytime!

Living the life of Awesomeness

Both my cousin and I really enjoyed the stay. The house was amazing. The room temperatures were perfect. We both enjoy having privacy and this location was all that we wished for. If there was one problem it was this sound that came from outside one night, that brought Jesus back for us, lol. I loved it and I’m presently looking into booking for next year. The managers was always available and transports was on time. Wonderful experience, highly recommend. 5 Stars from me. Thanks Hazel!!!!!!!!!

Amazing Jungle home

Everything was amazing! The home was large and very clean, beds were comfortable and rooms nicely decorated. We spent lots of time watching the monkeys from the master bedroom balcony. There are lots of stairs inside and out so beware if you have any issues with mobility. Check in/out process was simple and friendly. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of is the cleaning lady showed up at 8:30 am, some were still sleeping and some were having breakfast and getting ready for the day. It was a little awkward having her work around us but we found out that you can ask to skip the day or schedule a different t time. Overall I would come back in a heartbeat!! Beautiful property.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful and detailed review! We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed the spacious, clean home, comfortable beds, and of course—the amazing monkey sightings from the balcony! It’s great to know the check-in and check-out process was smooth for you as well. We appreciate your feedback regarding the timing of the housekeeping visit. Many of our guests consider housekeeping a great amenity, and our team does their best to be as discreet and non-intrusive as possible. That said, we completely understand how timing can matter, and we're happy to accommodate future requests to adjust or skip service when needed. We’d be honored to welcome you back anytime. Thank you again for choosing to stay with us!

Beautiful house

We enjoyed our stay at Mariana's house. The location was excellent, and the house was beautifully maintained. Communication with the owner and the concierge was also excellent. The chef-prepared meal that was arranged for us the day we arrived was also great. The only caveat: if you have mobility issues, be aware that this house has many steps. We knew ahead of time that it was a multi-story house, but there were additional steep stairs from the driveway up to the house. One of us was experiencing knee problems, and the stairs were very difficult for her to negotiate. Otherwise, we had a nice time and would highly recommend it for people who don't mind the exercise!

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We’re so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Casa Elena and that the location, house, and service met your expectations. We’re also happy to know that the chef-prepared meal was a highlight for you! We truly appreciate your feedback regarding the stairs. Certainly the house is multi-story as mentioned in the description, and we consider the photos clearly highlight the stairs. We recommend that future guests review these details carefully, especially if mobility is a concern, so they can make an informed decision. Thanks again for your kind words and recommendation! Beautiful property nestled in the trees - we had fun watching the monkeys and sloths around the house. The size and layout of the house fit our family perfectly, although we ran out of hot water for our group of 7. Lots of steps up to the property so be prepared when carrying up your luggage. Otherwise, it was excellent accommodations - highly recommend!

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We’re happy to hear you and your family enjoyed Casa Elena, the unique setting in the trees, and the special experience of watching monkeys and sloths around the property. We appreciate your feedback about the hot water and will keep it in mind as we continue improving the guest experience. The steps are definitely part of the rainforest charm, and we’re glad they were worth it for the peaceful surroundings. Thanks again for staying with us—we’d love to welcome you back to Manuel Antonio!
