There were 7 of us ...5 adults and two teens. We all loved our stay at Alam Bulam Villa.. We stayed for only 4 nights before embarking on a cruise. We easily could have stayed longer as the staff was amazing; daily breakfast was incredible; we were made to feel at home. the Villa is even better than its description on the website. We would stay there again in a heartbeat...simply wonderful!...the group was from Park City Utah and San Diego, Ca.

We returned to Alam Bulan after 7 yesrs and felt like returning home again! Alam Bulan villa welcomed and treated us more than professionally, attention has been always even more than expected, they have worked to addapt to all of our expectations and demands. Tha house is amazing, magic!!! It is so clean and for sure we will miss Ketut breakfasts a lot. We left kmowing we will do our best to return again! Ubud paradise

What an absoutely stunning villa with the most incredible team, who did everything to make our stay so memorable. The villa is absoutely beautiful, I loved the yoga space and the pool. The highlight was the staff who made beautiful breakfast catering to all our needs and were so helpful and friendly, will definately be back.

Great stay in Ubud

Our family enjoyed our stay at the Alam Bulan villa. Komang and his team were gracious hosts and made a huge effort to make us feel welcome. The villa is located in a quiet neighborhood and was a welcome retreat from the hustle of central Ubud. The beauty of the surroundings was appreciated by the entire family. The pool was great for swimming and the artwork in the villa very interesting as well. The rooms were very comfortable and of high quality. Highly recommend!

This villa is absolutely magical. The pictures really dont do it justice for how beautiful it is. Aside from the beauty of it, the staff is INCREDIBLE. They really do go above and beyond. They got us drivers, always said yes to our breakfast requests (I even got to help cook one of my favorite dishes), and we even went to do a jewelry making class at the house managers home Village, something we never would have known to do if it wasnt for them. They were really all so kind and warm and welcoming. I cant say enough good things about the villa but ESPECIALLY the staff. If youre coming to Ubud this is the place to stay!!!

Paradise

Alam Bulan was truly magical. This villa was gorgeous and exactly a described and pictured on the site. From the moment I started communication with the manager Komang, he made each step so smooth. He planned an amazing itinerary for us and showed us the real Bali. The entire staff at the villa was top of the line, made us feel special the entire week we were at the villa. I enjoyed the peaceful and serene location, surrounded by beautiful nature and relaxing sounds. The decor and touches throughout the villa also made it feel like we were in Bali and not in a commercialized property for tourism. My only regret for the entire trip was we didn't stay longer at this villa, as nothing else on our trip compared to the level of service and comfort at Alam Bulan. Thank you to the staff at Alam Bulan, you made our week so special. If you are having doubts on booking this villa, wipe them away and book it now! Top villa experience we've ever had.

Bali Paradise!

My friends and I were looking for a fairly central location from which to explore Bali. Alam Bulan Villa was the perfect location! It is situated about 20 minutes outside of Ubud, and about an hour from the southern, northern, and Western sites. Komang and his team were amazing---I simply gave Komang a list of all the places we wished to see and he planned our 6 days perfectly. Kutuk made fabulous meals for us each morning that gave us an energizing start to the day and made us feel like royalty. We all had an amazing time! I cannot recommend Alam Bulan Villa highly enough!

Absolutely amazing experience

We stayed with a couple of our friends, for three nights. The home is very beautiful, clean, serene. The location is perfect to stay in nature and close enough to the places to visit the local markets and sight seeing. The staff made our experience more beautiful. All of them are very polite, courteous, and attended our every need. We would highly recommend this place to anyone who want to visit Ubud.

Amazing

Words cannot express how amazing our stay was. The villa is beautiful and the staff is wonderful. Idriyani prepared a delicious daily breakfast (American and Balinese dishes) and helped getting laundry done. Komang ensured we and our needs were all taken care of. Puriana was so attentive, gracious, and insightful in sharing the Balinese culture and foods. I’m forgetting a couple staff members’ names but everyone was fantastic and greeted us with a smile every morning and welcomed us as if we were home when we returned. We definitely will return as this is our new home in Ubud away from home in the USA. We truly loved everything about our stay! The villa pictures look great on the website but it’s even more beautiful in person. We were sad to leave and can’t wait to return!

Family Vacation

The Alam Bulan Villa was beyond stunning. We came with our family of 6 and our children never wanted to leave the villa, they absolutely loved it. From the time of booking Komang was in contact with me to help plan our entire stay. He greeted us at the airport with a very warm welcome and immediately began sharing his knowledge of his country. We loved learning about the Balinese culture and traditions. Komang arranged for a special New Years celebration with Balinese dancers and bamboo organ musicians. This evening was magical and we are extremely grateful for the owners generosity! Our children will never forget this once in a lifetime experience. The entire staff were very tentative and made sure that our stay was perfect. The breakfast was delicious. We were able to try many different fruits that we do not have at home. The security team was very friendly and we felt safe the entire stay. The villa is perfectly located away from the chaos of town. Alam Bulan is in a tranquil setting with a perfectly manicured jungle surrounding the property. We were impressed with every aspect of our stay and can't wait to return for another vacation. Very memorable experience

Our family enjoyed staying at this villa. Everything was perfect and so organized; breakfast, staffs, rooms, local tours, yoga, massage, etc. It was more than what we expected. We didn't have to worry about what we were going to do next, because of the manager, Komang, was there all the time. Komang is very responsible manager and always on time. He knows and explains the culture of Indonesia so clearly that our family learned alot from it. Villa was so comfortable, manager knew our needs, and mostly, delicious breakfast every moring especially fresh juice. We will definitely re-visit this place! There is no place like this villa. It's like our home! I miss all the staffs. They are so welcoming and sincere. Hope many people may experience what I experienced from this trip. I would recommend this villa to anyone coming to Ubud. Once again, thank you Komang and all the staffs for providing our family such a memorable environment!

Stunning villa, excellent staff

Thank you to the staff at Alam Bulan for making our stay so amazing. The constant attention and ability to cater to our needs made this a relaxing vacation for our entire family (spanning three generations). Komung's knowledge of the island and his interest in showing us the local parts of Ubud/Bali made this trip very unique (right from the time he picked us up). The villa was absolutely stunning - like living in a jungle with a huge pool and open living room to boot. We enjoyed our private bedroom (away from kids and grandparents) as well. We hope to be back soon!

Vacation of a Lifetime!

We just returned from a two week stay in Bali, eight of those nights were at Alam Bulan Villa. We chose this villa based on the reviews and photos. From the moment we stepped into the villa, we were beyond elated. It is even more beautiful in person. Every detail has been thought out, from the design of the home to the furnishings. We were a total of 7 adults and had plenty of space. The staff was so kind and pampered us the whole time. Breakfast was delicious every day. Komang is a real gem. We learned so much about the beautiful Balienese people and their culture through Komang. Every day brought a new adventure. We highly recommend visiting his village and learning their customs. We also recommend having dinner at the villa prepared by the Chef. And another great day was going to the market and having a cooking class at the villa. All of the staff's suggestions were great experiences. We hope to return to Bali soon and will for sure return to Alam Bulan. We left Bali with grateful hearts. A gem in Bali

We spent those days with the family in Alam Bulan and we enjoyed a magic surrounding, where an exceptional team has been taking care of us every second. They made a reality every single wish and they have superated all of our expectatives. The house, a treasure into the jungle with a team that couldn't be better! Our best friend Mr. Puriana, a master! He made us feeling the most authentic Bali. Thank you Puriana! Thank you all, Ketut, Ngurah, Surya, Eguk and Nyoman for make it happen!! Gorgeous and peaceful with the most amazing staff ever!

We had an amazing stay at the villa!! I came with my family of six people and it was the perfect place to stay. The villa itself is gorgeous, lush, and peaceful. You truly get the Ubud vibe while there with 5 star accommodations. The best part of the stay however was the staff which are truly the most friendly, accommodating people I have ever met. They went above and beyond to take care of my family and every need was met. The staff would anticipate something we might need or want and it would be there. The breakfast every morning was absolutely amazing. Komang, the house manager, helped us arrange any activities we wanted to do, drove us wherever we needed to go and a few days was a tour guide for us. He made everything easy and seamless. My aunt even wanted wine one night and he went out to purchase it for her. My family has done quite a bit of traveling and they all agree that this was one of the nicest places they have ever stayed. I would recommend this villa to anyone coming to Ubud. Thank you Komang and staff for and EXCELLENT stay!!!

Extraordinaire découverte de bali

Nous avons passé 1 semaine en juillet 2017. Ce fut une réussite totale. La propriété est superbe. Décorée avec goût. L'impression de faire partie d'un magazine de décoration intérieure. La chambre de maßtre est particuliÚrement réussie : on s'endort en pleine jungle dans le confort moderne d'un 5 étoiles... Mais le plus fort est sans conteste l'équipe présent sur la villa : au petit soin, souriant et plein d'humour...mention spéciale à puriana qui est un guide extraordinaire. C'était notre 2Úme séjour, nous avons découvert un bali inédit et merveilleux....merci donc ! Nous reviendrons !

Perfect family get away

I was in Bali with my husband and our three sons for ten nights. We stayed for five nights in Alam Bulan and then moved to Nusa Dua. Once we were in Nusa Dua, we pined for the beauty and serenity of Alam Bulan. The villa had everything we needed and also everything that we wanted. The staff was appropriately attentive, somehow always being there when I wanted tea, while also giving us privacy. The breakfast was always a treat--we had only Indonesian food which is delicious. Mr. Komong made sure every detail was taken care of and he made it all effortless. And the villa was comfy and spacious and luxurious. I can't recommend this place highly enough. We have been to Bali many times and this place is special. We will return.

5 stars service in a paradise setting

Perfection. From the moment we arrived we were blown away by the beauty of the villa and its surroundings. It felt like heaven on earth and the Alam Bulan villa team provided an incomparable level of service. They were extremely attentive to our every needs and they surpassed all our expectations. Puriana, the villa manager, has a profound knowledge of Balinese culture and he shared it with us in a very generous way. We were cared like we were family and this made our week so special. We will forever keep this experience in our hearts.

An amazing experience

Everything about this 10 day holiday near Ubud Bali was exceptional. The house, pool and furnishings are incredibly beautiful and comfortable. What was most important was the care that the staff provided us. Every one of our needs were taken care of. The house manager, Komang Puriana took us daily to see the sights of Bali...museums, shops, galleries, rice fields and most importantly the surrounding temples. His knowledge of customs, traditions and history is unprecedented. We really felt we experienced the people and customs of the Balinese people. We have travelled extensively and this trip affected me most profoundly.

Alam Bulan surpassed our expectations

Do not hesitate to book a stay at this magnificent home. The design and decor are exquisite and the caring staff make your stay so memorable. You will feel instantly at home the moment you arrive and you will probably shed a tear when you leave - it really does have that affect on you. We have visited Bali previously but chose to stay in 5-star resorts both in Ubud and also at Jimbaran. For this trip we wanted something special and to be immersed in Balinese culture away from tourists. By picking this villa we were able to enjoy local village surroundings, meet people on our street and get to truly understand the Balinese way of life which sometimes can not be experienced from the confines of a luxury 5-star resort. For this one week booking we were a party of four: me, my brother and our respective spouses. Taking a villa this large for only 4 persons is the right thing to do if you desire additional space and luxury features. However Alam Bulan can easily accommodate 8 persons. The thoughtful design offers tremendous separation of space allowing each guest privacy and a grand living room where we could all meet and socialize. The villa excels at each turn whether it be the dramatic living room which opens to a large swimming pool, the sounds of the jungle or the separate sala where we would have private yoga classes. Purely magical is a descriptor that comes to mind when recalling our time on Bali. Puriana, the villa manager, was the consummate host who made suggestions for things to see and experience during our stay. He toured us through some wonderful places on the island and we felt we had experienced Bali in a special way. One evening at the villa we had a traditional Balinese event 'come to us'. How amazing is that? Puriana arranged for local dancers and musicians to come and perform and it was a pleasure to meet these lovely people and experience the entertainment. Twenty musicians and approximately ten dancers entertained us while a specially invited chef and his team prepared a sumptuous traditional dinner which we enjoyed in the Sala away from the main house. Candles, lanterns and flowers were everywhere. It will be a night we remember for always. It felt good to support the local community and we highly recommend you doing the same when you stay here. The cost of this evening is well worth it and may we suggest you make a donation to the local community as part of your experience. They will certainly appreciate it.

A month in paradise

Just returned from a remarkable adventure in Bali. We were fortunate to select Alum Bulan as our home for our 30 day stay. After a 30 hour trip from the USA we were met at the airport by Komang, the villa manager, whose genuine welcoming manner made us feel right at home from the start. Even though it was late at night, the entire staff greeted us upon our arrival at the villa with a traditional welcome drink and made sure we were comfortable after our tiring journey. The villa is magnificent, beautifully designed, immaculate, and comfortable for relaxing and entertaining and a welcome home to return to after a day of sightseeing or shopping. The gardens are beautifully designed also and cared for daily, with fresh flowers throughout the villa. Komang, the villa manager, was always there to help us with any sightseeing, shopping, reservations or anything we needed for the entire stay. His knowledge and love of the Balinese life and culture is incredible. You will have no better tour guide. He will arrange tours, shopping excursions, reservations or entertainment in the villa. Breakfasts are wonderful. The chefs are happy to prepare Balinese specialties or menus to suit your preferences. We thought the fruit selections were incredible, many of which we had never eaten before. The entire staff is cheerfully accommodating. They are always anxious to please. We hope to return to Bali some day, and we will definitely stay at the Villa Alum Bulan.
