We absolutely love staying here! Owners are super nice and the property is very charming. Super clean, spacious, beds are comfortable and very quiet. We have stayed here several times and will continue. It’s our favorite!

We rate this place a 10! Very clean and comfortable. Nice quiet setting yet close to down town for sightseeing. The hosts were very friendly and literally on-call if needed. Hot tub was all preset and worked great! The little chocolates were also a nice touch!

This is a great place to stay when visiting Gruene and New Braunsfels. It’s quiet and peaceful with deer hanging out in the yard. The hot tub was the perfect temperature and communication with the owner was easy. The room is a nice size with a kitchenette. Very clean. We will stay here again.

River Haven went above and beyond! Absolutely one of the best vacation rentals I have had. It was conveniently located and even made visible on a rainy evening with Christmas lights on the dark country road so I would not miss it. All of the little touches were so special, from the Hershey Kisses (my weakness) to the cute - and unique - decor. There was not a thing Kathleen did not think of, and I would love to be back again.

Location was close to Old Town Gruene where we spent time with friends. This place was immaculate. Every detail was clean and functioning. Communication was excellent. We even showed our local friends so they could see how nice it was in case they had the need for some overflow accommodations. 10/10 for us.

Wonderful stay at River Haven. Great location close to Gruene and an easy walk into town. Kathleen and Greg are great hosts. Accommodation was very clean and comfortable and had all the amenities you’d need. Loved watching the deer in the garden and the cats too!

The room was beautiful! It was clean everything we needed was provided. We were able to enjoy coffee one morning and it was completely quiet around out on the front porch. Anytime I messaged they quickly responded, but there was no messages of problems. We plan to stay there again

Loved our stay at River Haven. Very much enjoyed our evenings on the porch watching the deer. Close to historic Gruene. Nice base for our daily excursions around the greater San Antonio and New Braunfels area. Comfortable accommodations and the hosts were great.

We had a wonderful time in this home! It was clean, tastefully decorated, and had everything we needed. The hosts were warm and friendly. The yard and kitties were nice for morning coffee. Deer were in the front yard each day. The hot tub was clean and relaxing. It was just a 5 minute drive to Gruene Hall. We will definitely come again!!

Perfect spot for a romantic getaway

Beautiful little home was perfect for our anniversary getaway. Short drive to Gruene and Downtown New Braunfels. The adorable decor, cleanliness and snacks made this the perfect place for us.

Kathleen traces her heritage to original German settlers in Texas (the Round Top area) and a background in offering hospitality and joy-filled fellowship. Because we are not located right on the Guadalupe, we are often sought after for the peace and quiet we can afford at River Haven. River access is only a half mile from us, and the village of Gruene is one mile away, however, and we have the unique quality of being desirable for every season, Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter, where guests can enjoy shows by artisans, seasonal activities, superior music at Gruene Hall, Whitewater Amphitheater, River Road Ice House, as well as numerous nearby smaller venues in Gruene and New Braunfels. San Marcos Outlet Shopping is a 20 minute drive away and downtown New Braunfels is 11 minutes away, and you will find abundant night life, antiquing and shopping there, also. Don't forget Wurstfest in the Fall!
