Great little ranch!

This was such a cool place to stay, with horses and birds and piggies! Our cabin was tidy and clean and felt very comfortable. The owners are super nice and friendly!

We loved our stay! The added plus to our experience were the animals. It was really neat that there were pigs, chickens, horses, cats and other animals on the property. The website should be updated though because the ranch is not a 1 minute walk to Raystown Lake.

Everything was perfect!

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights in the Cheyenne cabin and it was perfect! Very clean and tidy. And the animals were an amazing bonus!

I picked Monique and Bob's because of the location, and because I am a fellow animal lover. Monique was awesom and our cabin was so comfy and cozy and rustic.

We arrived at approximately 7pm, and according to directions (late check-in after 7pm) I left a message but received no phone call back.A nice man on the Ranch gave me the entrance code. We entered the room to find dirty sheet rolled-up on the bed and dirty towels laying on the floor in the bathroom. I have pictures which I can post.It was awkward and disgusting and unclean. There was nobody present to address this issue with. We left promptly (around 8pm) and found a hotel room locally.

"We want every guest to feel comfortable on arrival. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:- The nice gentleman the guest speaks of is the owner, who personally provided the entrance code and was available at check-in to help if any concerns had been raised. So, the statement that no one was available is inaccurate.- The guest did not attempt to bring the problem to our attention, even after just talking with us. The fact is that the issue could have been solved quickly had the issues been mentioned at the time, so the stay could have been enjoyed.We take great pride in being responsive and available to our guests."

Fishing trip

Overall the Urban Saddle Ranch was an interesting and cozy place to stay in the woods! Accommodating and friendly with all necessities met. That being said, the main issues came with being in the woods! First issue was the HUMONGOUS spider in the bathroom!! Leg span was 3 inches easily and while it was probably a wolf spider, it looked almost like a small tarantula!! Then, started noticing all the other bugs and ants which led to a lot of preemptive screams due to the spider encounter. After that, found mouse droppings along the baseboard of the bathroom and headed out into the living space…keep ur food stored tightly away!! The owners were kind in helping us check in late and were good at keeping an eye on who was on the property but being courteous. The fire pits would have been awesome to use but it rained! Also not as close to where u WANT to be on the lake for fishing and boating. There are free range ducks and turkey so caution with bringing any birddogs!!

Stay during SAR summit

The location was very quiet. The place was clean but a little musty smelling. And although i have washed my blankets, the smell lingers. Please note it does say no heat, but i was surprised since they are renting it when the temps are in the 40's they dont provide more blankets. There is one thin one and i failed to find others. Thank goodness i had thought to bring my own, though not heavy enough. It was 32 degrees at night and i ended up sleeping in my sweats.Word to wise: check the weather and bring appropriate blankets. I was there for a search and rescue summit at Raystown Lake (which is 30 mins away btw) and i had my dog which is allowed at this ranch. I know it is a ranch, but just surprised that the ducks, geese and peacocks all roam freely which drove my dog crazy since there was a couple of them that seemed to like to stay near our door. And when i leashed walked my dog, the peacocks seemed to want to closely follow us. It madefor a more hasty walk since my bird dog wanted to constantly chase them.

We have never experienced problems with bad odors and our cleaning team did not report anything unusual during their cleaning before your stay. We'll certainly look into ways to address this issue more effectively.-Regarding the blankets and heating, we do provide reminders to our guests about the amenities available, including the blankets provided. We apologize if this wasn't clear enough, and we'll work on making our communication more explicit in the future. Additionally, we want to clarify that each cabin is equipped with heaters, and we're puzzled as to where the misunderstanding about no heat arose.-As for the animals on our ranch, we understand that they may not be everyone's cup of tea, and we apologize for any disruption they may have caused during your stay. We encourage guests to leash their pets precisely for situations like these, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in managing your dog around our friendly animal residents.-We're committed to ensuring that all our guests have a pleasant and comfortable stay, and we're always here to assist with any issues or concerns that may arise. Nice quiet getaway

It was very nice and quiet as we arrived in the middle of the week. Lots of animals! nice atmosphere. Quick nearby access to anything you might need. The price was definitely reasonable.

Thanksgiving get-away

We greatly enjoyed our stay. The Ranch is a lovely property. We really enjoyed seeing and hearing all the farm animals. Our cabin was clean and cozy.

This is the second time we stayed at the ranch. The property is the perfect setting for a get away. The cabin is rustic and relaxing. Kitchen has dishes, pots and pans. We packed a cookie sheet for baking bacon in the oven. You have a private fire pit with chairs, they have wood to buy but you can bring your own too. It's nice that they have a parking lot, this way the scenery isn't blocked by vehicles. Owners are super friendly and will do anything to make your stay the best it can be. They check in when they see you but they give you all the privacy that you need. Super close to Snyder's Run for kayaking and boating. Local winery is right down the street for tastings too. We will be back!

Quaint place. Very dirty. Lack of communication

I tried to reach property manager by phone & email multiple times. No return communication. Other reviews say she is great. We get there & are greeted by her husband. Get to cabin, it was filthy. Bed (mattress) had dog hair all over it as well as all furniture. Top of fridge & all counters very gross. We did all of our own cleaning. Swept floor & cleaned bathroom. No sense telling them. If they didn't care enough to clean it before we got there. Next guests after 4/25 received a clean cabin

Stay was not very good. 1st of all, we tried for weeks to get Evolve and Urban Ranch to answer some basic questions to no avail. Since we wanted to meet family at the lake, we booked without the questions ever answered. Evolve charged 100. for pet and Urban ranch said it was only 50. to try and get the 50 back from Evolve>? We wanted to know about parking, no one would get back to us, we now see why. Urban ranch, specifically the cabin we rented had no parking. Not happy with the way the owners man treated us. He came up 1st morning and said you need to move your truck. Not a good morning, hello , sorry for the inconvenience, nothing. No mention of no air conditioning on the description of place. Hot as haties, we left one day early with no regrets. Will never book Urban ranch again, nor use Evolve.

Awesome little cabin

The hosts were wonderful warm and inviting. The cabin was spotless warm and comfortable. Everything was perfect. So much so you would think the host and hostess ordered the snow just for us. Absolutely loved our stay.
