Entièrement meublé avec la plupart des conforts de la maison, nous louons par la nuit, la semaine ou le mois à partir du 1er Mars thru 15 Décembre (le temps le permet). L'été est notre prime time et de remplir à l'avance. Avant et après l'été, les tarifs sont un peu plus bas. Tarifs week-end sont légèrement plus élevés que les taux en semaine en raison de la demande. Nous pouvons louer au mois le taux dépend du mois (s) demandé. Appel à ce prix, s'il vous plaît.

Venez Raystown et profiter des tonnes d'activités nautiques: baignade, pêche, canoë, kayak ainsi que la randonnée, le vélo et l'observation des oiseaux! Vous pouvez sauter dans le Dirt Fest au Trail Allegrippis ou tenter votre recette préférée de côtes à notre Barbecue à l'événement Beach. Le tournoi de K-Bass est prévue au printemps et en création, Christian Music Festival vient à Orbisonia en Juin. Des vacances à Raystown sera inoubliable pour les années à venir. Vous ne pouvez pas prendre une semaine de congé? Visitez-nous pour un long week-end ou, mieux encore, venez pendant la semaine pour un prix réduit!

Raystown lac est une voie navigable populaire dans le sud de la Pennsylvanie centrale. Les 29 mile de long lac et ses environs appartiennent en grande partie par le gouvernement fédéral avec plusieurs parcs et forêts à proximité appartenant à l'Etat. Il est un espace merveilleux pour passer des vacances en famille avec une grande randonnée, la chasse, le canotage, la natation, la pêche et l'observation des oiseaux. D'autres attractions populaires incluent des cavernes, railroading, équitation, croisières sur le lac, location de bateaux pour ne citer que quelques-uns. Pour les golfeurs, Huntingdon Country Club offre un terrain de golf public à environ 4 miles au nord de nous. Les bénévoles ont récemment créé le Trail Allegrippis qui est populaire auprès des amateurs de vélo. tournois de pêche fréquentent la région et barbecue à la plage a lieu en Septembre. Pendant votre séjour, vous pouvez être heureux de voir un ours nager dans le lac ou un aigle chauve retour à son nid.

Overall I guess things were ok. The cabin was clean but could use some updating. The queen size bed was not of great quality and moved when my husband or I rolled over thus waking each other The cabin was rather small but was ok for the 2 of us other than the shower stall. It did not allow much room and if you weren’t careful you would hit the knob and either scald yourself with hot water or freeze because it turned to cold. The mirror behind the sink is set back in and no light by it made it difficult to see. There are no steps leading to the fire pit which is located on a hill beside the cabin. There is a hand rail but the hill has a steep grade. The fire pit hadn’t been cleaned for quite a while…good thing we had a shovel. The charcoal grill is very close to the ground making it difficult to stand over and cook. The cabin shares a driveway with 3 other cabins and is quite steep and narrow. It would be challenging if you met another vehicle coming up or down as there is really nowhere to pull to the side. I asked if there was room to park a boat. I was told yes. While that is correct the area had a pile of gravel on it and where it was located made it difficult to back the boat in to be able to have it ready to pull back out. The cabin above us also had a boat and we were told that their motor dragged coming up the driveway. Weather was great so I guess it made up for the less than expected accommodations.

Trudy, I'm sorry you were disappointed. Our cabins are not high-end as indicated by our pricing. We are cabins in the woods and I believe our photos show that. Regarding the shower in the bathroom, the stall is the size we could use in the floor plan. Our large cabins have a full bath with tub if you prefer more space. You noted our gravel pile used for filling gaps in the driveway but failed to mention there is a large grassy space where boats can be parked. You mentioned the hill and handrail to the campfire from the back porch but failed to mention the steps that come down from the front porch, if steps are your preference. When we come over to clean, we often pass others on the driveway and pull to the side (several places allow this) and yield to the other vehicle. If you're pulling a boat, we expect other guests would yield to you. For the price we charge and for allowing pets, we seem to be appreciated by most people.

Our Stay

Love the location of this, the driveway is hard to get up especially if you don’t have a truck or SUV. Kitchen and bathroom very clean. Bedrooms were ok, definitely need new beds in both of them. I maybe got 3 hours of sleep because the beds were so warn.

Hi, Drista. Sorry you were not 100% satisfied. I know it's important to sleep well but many people don't find cabin beds as comfortable as the ones they have at home. In our defense, the mattresses are nor warn (worn?), they are relatively new. They are just basic, medium-firm and not the overstuffed or pillow-top style. Our lane is not paved but stone and most people get along fine with it unless they have very low-clearance vehicles.

Robert, thanks for staying with us and for submitting a review. Our cabins are somewhat limited in space, especially in the bathrooms. We are sorry about the lack of lighting at the mirror. The ceiling fixture is centrally located so it's not the best for shaving or applying makeup. Other than this, we hope you enjoyed your stay!

The cabin was cozy and the privacy was great, look forward to visiting again.

We want to rent more than one cabin in the future for the whole family, it was so peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed not hearing anything but the birds singing. The lake is a short drive from the cabin so it seemed liked two vacations in one. Defiantly will be back

Would go again

We had a very nice time exploring the area. The cabin was comfy for the most part. We did have a lot of stink bugs inside though and the queen bed was not good for my back. We really enjoyed sitting at the picnic table with our cup of coffee and listening to the birds. I liked that the other cabins were not too close.

Hi, Angel, we are sorry about the stink bugs. They are troublesome in our area as the weather starts to warm up. We do spray around the windows and do a last-minute check before guests arrive. But I know we don't get them all. We have tried different mattresses from firm to pillow-tops. It just seems like we can't please everyone but we're sorry it was uncomfortable for you.

With an eye to invest in rental property during the late 1990's, a broker led us to our lovely cabin property. We fell instantly in love with the property and made an offer to purchase right away. Although we were delayed in closing by paperwork on the seller's side, we began renting them even before we officially owned them! Thus began our real estate investing and my choice to become a licensed real estate agent. If you are leaning in that direction, I would gladly share my experience with you.

We have made many improvements since 1998, keeping the rustic charm but making the cabin more comfortable for our guests. The cabin is semi-private with natural vegetation surrounding it. A relaxing area awaits with a picnic table, campfire ring and cast-iron charcoal grill. While we are not set up to host large numbers of people for meals, etc. there are many picnic areas and pavilions nearby which can be secured for just such an event. These areas may be reserved by calling the US Army Corps of Engineers office.

Awaken to birds singing in the morning. If you rise early enough, you may see the deer trek down off the hill toward the creek (a deer run goes right across our property...make sure your eyes are open...one guest was walking her dog and startled a deer right behind her cabin!) Rock and roll to your hearts delight on the lake or the trails, then return to your cabin and grill your favorite meal. Relax by the campfire, enjoy your beverage and just chill.
