Very spacious with lots of room for a big family gathering. The swimming pool is the fiscal point and was used extensively. Very quiet, but only a short drive to all the amenities if Cala D’Or. Definitely recommended.

Wonderful property with exceptional gardens

Se Serra Mitjana is a lovely place to stay. The house is spacious but maintains a cosy atmosphere. The kitchen is well equipped and opens onto a verandah which is great for eating on. The gardens are speculator and provide plenty of areas for relaxing. The local village, Calonge, is lovely and only a short walk away. We would absolutely recommend this property

We had an amazing experience at the finca. The property manager, Marianella, was amazing and invaluable, even in the middle of the night; she was there to answer and help us. The pool is big and clean, and the kids spend most of their time by the pool. The garden is very beautiful and well looked after. Cala Dor is an authentic Majorcan location, just an 8-minute drive from the villa.Definitely will return to this place again.Thank you, John and Marianella.

A wonderful home from home

This ancient farmhouse is a wonderful place to stay. It has the charm you only get when a place has been with the same people for a long time. Rooms are cosy and the garden is splendid. Being just a short drive from great restaurants and beautiful beaches is another bonus. Some bedrooms are on the ground floor make it accessible for wheelchair users. We all loved it!

A great Family Vacation

The perfect place for a family with kids and Grandchildren. Close to Cala d‘Or and other nice places. Close to a couple beaches. The property is huge. The garden is wonderful and the pool is great for swimming and chilling. The rooms are big and the badrooms are mostly new done. The kitchen is a little old, but has everything you need. It has a big fridge and freezer. We loved it.

Thank you for this Rene’. We wanted to keep the ambiance and warm vibes of an old farmhouse but needed the comforts of refrigerators ,. Dishwashers and Washer/ Dryers. Mallorca always runs short of water in the summer months so that is why we had our own wells installed.

Beautiful farmhouse .

Was on holiday with my children and granchildren from age 1 to 65. We have never had such a wonderful holiday. This villa has absoloutely beautiful gardens and between that and the pool it made our holiday. We hardly ever went jnto Cala dor or the beach as none of us wanted to leave the gardens. I would reccomend this place and hopefully we will be able to return next year.

A wonderful finca - even better than the photos suggest!

A spacious house and gardens with plenty of all-together areas as well as secluded spots for some quiet reading or sunbathing. A fabulous pool, large and well-equipped kitchen (plus a second fridge and chest freezer in the utility room); comfortable bedrooms all with en-suites and a handy self-contained yet integrated annex. Location is nice and quiet, only a few minutes from the local town of Calonge and a 7-min drive to Cala D’Or. Clean, well-maintained and homely, it was a brilliant place for our large, 3-generation family holiday - we had a wonderful time.

Fantastic place for a magical family holiday

There is nothing not to like about this spacious and tastefully maintained Finca. It would meet anyone's requirements from a quiet lounge where more elderly relatives can escape the younger members as they play table tennis under the vines, to a great pool which is deep enough for the most active members. The BBQ area is large enough to cater for an outdoor party for many and the outdoor eating area is equally generous. The gardens are beautiful and extensive with various areas to sit or lounge in comfort, in sun or shade. The farmhouse itself has both period features and modern, well appointed bedrooms and ensuites which would match any upmarket hotel. All are airconditioned. Our whole party, aged from 13-70 years were very reluctant to leave.

Fantastic!

We had a wonderful time! We celebrated our 40 years wedding anniversary with our kids and two grandchilds. The house has a lot of space and has everything you need! the garden is really breathtaking. Swimming pool was also clean and nice. The only thing we would recommend is to change the mattresses and to stabilize the beds. Especially the one in the appartement. Another negative point was the presence of cockroaches! The beach and village are nice; you do need a car. It is too far to walk. We invited a personal cook and had a wine tasting in the beautiful garden!

Stunning Property

This is THE perfect place to vacation with a group of friends or family. The clean house is large and cool and very comfortable with a well equipped kitchen, modern bathrooms and a world class BBQ. The garden and pool area offer plenty of places to relax in and wandering around the huge immaculately maintained english lawn with bare feet brings an enormous child like pleasure. Set amidst rolling farmlands, the ambience is peaceful with the odd tink tonk of the sheep bells and the estate is very private and secure. There is a good grocery store nearby and with the delightful town of Cala D'Or less than 10 minutes drive away there are plenty of great options for eating out. Although I personally would rather stay at home cooking magnificent meals and dining under the grape arbor on the beautiful terrace. Geographically, the estate is located in a beautiful part of Mallorca and there are also plenty of beaches to visit an easy drive away. Highly recommended - so much so that I hope to return again with my family next year! Lucille Frye, Guest in 2014 and 2016

Fantastic farmhouse and location

We had a wonderful week with 3 generations of family to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary. The farmhouse was very comfortable and location was perfect. We were very grateful for the aircon as the temperature got up to 37 degrees. However the white plastic garden furniture is in urgent need of replacement several dining chairs were broken and some sun loungers were lethal one collapsed as my 3 month pregnant daughter in law lay on it. The dishwasher was on its last legs. I understand that somewhere that accommodates 12 people is going to have a lot of wear and tear but these faults need to be addressed before someone gets hurt. I mentioned it to Marionella and she said she must do something about it. That said we had a fabulous holiday.

Hi Sue, So nice for you to give us this review, I just found it though a bit late. We did replace all the chairs and loungers and are really on top of it now,. We were just there, August 2024 and everything was looking good and working. Marianella is really good and professional in looking after the house and her team of ladies who help her, are well trained and consistent. Please plan another visit with us. Warm regards, John.

We Love Se Serra Mitjana

We have stayed at this lovely farmhouse many times. There is a reason that we keep returning... it is a real home. You can feel it. The home is loved for its comfort and cherished for its old world charm. It has been updated but it has not lost its character. It is not stuffy or formal or sterile or void of personality like some other places we've stayed. The magic begins as you drive down the narrow lane to the house. You pass many old farms and other pretty villas along the way. The entrance to Se Serra Mitjana can sneak up on you but the entrance is a beautiful wrought iron electric gate built into nice stone walls. The long driveway is beautifully bordered by more stone walls and gorgeous flowering vegetation. The house itself is quite grand as you approach it. It is, artistically by chance, festooned with clinging, ivy-like greenery with orange trumpet shaped flowers. Most impressive! The grounds are amazing too with the unexpected vast lawns of green and abundant flowering shrubbery everywhere. The pool is very private surrounded by hedges and stone walls. Perfect for a refreshing morning dip or late night escape. The home has 5 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. Most bedrooms are spacious and the bathrooms are to die for! We love that there is air conditioning in the bedrooms when desired but most nights I do not even think that it is needed. One of my favorite things about staying here is what I call, "The sounds of Mallorca at night." I just love listening to the distant, gentle bleating of sheep mixed with the sweet cooing of doves. It is such a peaceful relaxing sound. Along with the soft breezes gently pushing through the open windows, it puts me to sleep right away. Magical. There is also a very nicely equipped casita with a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and lounge. Perfect for guests that might need a bit more privacy. The house is very well equipped for entertaining large crowds for dinner parties. With an abundance of pots, pans, cutlery, dishes, glasses and a welcome dishwasher! There is a terrific BBQ that we have used many times to prepare delicious, succulent meats of all kinds. We have spent many magical evenings under the grape vines drinking and dining till the wee hours. You can tell that the owners have pride of ownership. It is warm, inviting and very clean. It's so nice that they allow others to enjoy the magic of Se Serra Mitjana by sharing it. We truly love this place and will continue to visit! Thank you!
