Cottage tranquille avec piscine privée, situé dans le joli jardin méditerranéen.

Reef Cottage peut accueillir 4 personnes et 2 lits, nommés d'après son emplacement, construit sur un ancien récif fossile et entouré d'oliviers et d'amandiers, où en janvier et février la fleur d'amandier est absolument magnifique! Reef Cottage est adjacent à Almond Reef ferme étant le bâtiment ancien de 150 ans dans le hameau de Los Josefos et a été joliment restauré à un très haut niveau, en conservant de nombreuses caractéristiques originales.

Reef Cottage chambre principale a en-suite salle de douche; la deuxième chambre a une salle adjacente humide, salon confortable et arc à la cuisine. Les clients ont l'utilisation d'un objectif barbecue construit avec éclairage extérieur idéal pour les longues soirées chaudes, grande terrasse, jardin et piscine, avec une vue imprenable sur les montagnes environnantes.

A la nuit tombée, les astronomes seront ravis avec la clarté du ciel nocturne. Au Reef Cottage, nous pouvons vous offrir tous les équipements dont vous avez besoin pour un séjour relaxant et sociable, dans un bel endroit romantique et une belle région préservée de l'Espagne rurale. Lovely peaceful place to stay .

Thoroughly enjoyed staying in the self contained 'cottage' at Almond Reef. Diane our host was so friendly but not intrusive. Enjoyed the sun terrace enormously and sitting outside at night watching the amazing skies. Would definately recommend it!

Awful

Unsafe, unclean,very poor quality. Falsely represented in photographs.Poor service and communication from the owner. Lack of basic needs, hot water, and heating.Uncomfortable furnishing and poor overall cleanliness. Electricity failure frequently, often when the owner was absent, leaving us without power. We would certainly not recommend it to anyone. Cold, no natural light in the living room, shower, large patches of mould present, smelt permanently of sewerage from the kitchen sink. Moved out after only two weeks of an eight week stay, having paid a vast amount of money for our stay, only to be very disappointed. We had to incur further costs for alternative accommodation. The owner was uninterested in our concerns, when we requested a partial refund. I fell and twisted my knee on the uneven, crumbling makeshift patio area.The owner showed no concern, and failed to inform me that a Doctor was present in the village one day a week. Has widowed pensioners seeking one last adventure, we should be compensated for the diabolical conditions we had to endure, until we found alternative accommodation. We have taken many photographs of the conditions and state of the said property. Which are available to any interested parties.

Coin tranquille et agréable

Diane est super sympas et très gentille. Nous avons été "surclassés" du au fait que le logement était déjà attribué aux même dates. Les boutiques et bars restaurants ne sont pas à proximité.

Engañoso

La piscina imposible bañarse ya que hay muchísimas avispas y la limpieza es escasa las zonas exteriores bien pero muy poco cuidadas y no hay prácticamente iluminacion. Y ahora vamos a por la casa, la cocina no hay por dónde cogerla, el frigorífico no enfría, el congelador está en una cochera fuera de la casa y los utensilios dejan mucho que desear; Las habitaciones bien aunque los aseos uno de ellos sin ventilación tienen aspecto de poco higiénicos. Sin decir que durante la estancia vinieron a hacer mudanza de muebles y a hacer la poda del jardín todos ellos sin las medidas obligatorias de Covid-19. Eso si Diane muy simpática.

Un trocito de paraíso donde descansar

Una semana estupenda en cada de Diane que me ayudó a desconectar del estrés del trabajo. Apartamento limpio, Diane una anfitriona excelente y siempre dispuesta a que tu estancia sea lo más agradable posible. Buenos ratos en la piscina donde relajarse. Estábamos tan agusto que teníamos pensado hacer alguna ruta de senderismo y al final en toda la semana no salimos de casa. Volveré, sin duda. Mil gracias por tu hospitalidad y tu simpatíaz Diane.

Estancia demasiada corta

Diane hizo que nuestra fuera inolvidable en cada momento. Desde la bienvenida, durante la estancia y hasta la despedida nos hizo sentir como en casa. No nos faltó de nada en ningún momento y la casa impecable. En todo el complejo que estaba a nuestra disposición, hizo que estuviera todo en perfectas condiciones y que nos sintieramos a gusto. Se nos hizo difícil volvernos para casa y nos hubiéramos quedado más tiempo. Volveremos lo antes posible para disfrutar de su hospitalidad. Un abrazo de parte de toda la familia

Pretty finca near Sorbas

We stayed with Paul and Diane for three lovely days, the sun shone and it was not too cold at nights which was a change for this year. Their place is a little oasis of charm in the rugged but gorgeous desert that is that part of Andalucia, The apartment was very Spanish, had everything we needed and the manicured garden and patio areas we all ours to use, either for a sun session in the day or a bbq in the evening. Both Paul and Dianne were very amenable and could not do enough for us. We had an excellent stay .....

Nice and relaxing

As has already been said - Paul & Diane were very friendly & helpful. It's certainly an interesting area with it being so dry (compared to the Granada area where we stayed the first week on holiday). There are plenty of scenic drives around so make sure you get out and explore.

Very peaceful away from the rat race !!!!!

Paul & Diane were very friendly & helpful , with a day you felt like you had know them along time , very approachable for advise on trips and we had a great tour around the village with Paul , it was very interesting. The cottage was cosy, clean and had everything you needed . The views and grounds were amazing very enjoyable , still very private if you want time as a couple . We've already booked to go back .

Peaceful and Quiet - Just as we wanted

This cottage is positioned in a beautiful, peaceful location in the mountains – the tranquility we wanted, yet close enough by car to a number of other villages and towns we wanted to visit and to the beach towns half an hour or so away. The cottage had everything we needed for our two week stay and was spotlessly clean. The garden, with four different areas to laze about in, is wonderful, and Diane and Paul are both really friendly hosts. All in all, a perfect spot for our stay.

Peace and Tranquility

Having previously had breaks in Mojacar & in nearby Cortijo Grande, this time were looking for somewhere in that part of the world that would be good for walks and - importantly - pet friendly, too, as we have a German Shepherd. When we found this cottage on the Owners Direct site, it looked ideal. I must say the reality was fully up to expectations! The cottage was not only clean & comfortable, but the location on the outskirts of the tiny village of Cariatiz was perfect. It was so quiet that it was possible to hear conversations from halfway across the valley, and the distant sounds of chickens & goats, too. We were blessed with clear blue skies for the whole of our 10-day stay, and enjoyed walks with the dog along tracks and through almond & olive groves, admiring the rugged scenery on all sides. When supplies ran low we made the half-hour drive into Mojacar for the big supermarkets, although there is a local store in the village and a supermarket in Turre, en route to Mojacar. The free WiFi at Almond Reef was ideal for my work. There is also free WiFi at the village Tapas Bar and the village pub. All in all a place we will return to - a really relaxing break and very friendly hosts!

Relaxing week in beautiful rural Spain.

Thanks to Paul and Di for their great hospitality and a relaxing week in this beautiful and peaceful part of rural Spain. Clean and welcoming accommodation, nice little pool and perfect sun trap for lazy days. Plenty of tracks for the active walker. Car essential for shopping or restaurants and half hour drive to beach but roads very quiet. Went on recommendation of my sons and very happy that on this occasion I listened to them !
