Charmante petite maison de caractÚre isolée au coeur de Lechlade

Ce chalet avec ses nombreuses caractĂ©ristiques originales, notamment des poutres, des planchers en bois et une cheminĂ©e, dispose d'un poĂȘle Ă  bois et est idĂ©al pour une pause romantique et confortable ou pour ceux qui aiment les promenades idylliques au bord du fleuve.

Il se trouve Ă  deux minutes Ă  pied des fascinants magasins d’antiquitĂ©s, pubs, restaurants et cafĂ©s. Visitez l’impressionnante Ă©glise du centre de Lechlade, qui a inspirĂ© Shelley ou l’ancienne Ă©glise d’Inglesham (Ă  environ un kilomĂštre), restaurĂ©e par William Morris. En outre, plusieurs magnifiques villages en pierre de couleur miel et des maisons notables du National Trust (pour laquelle les Cotswolds sont si cĂ©lĂšbres) se trouvent Ă  seulement quelques minutes de route.

Le chalet est situĂ© sur un chemin isolĂ©, juste Ă  cĂŽtĂ© d'une route sans issue oĂč il y a un parking gratuit et sĂ©curisĂ©.

Sous le célÚbre "Halfpenny Bridge" se trouve le restaurant Riverside, un lieu idéal pour observer les oiseaux aquatiques, prendre un verre ou un repas de détente ou louer un bateau pour remonter la riviÚre.

A lovely cottage in the neighbourhood of the Cotswolds. We liked to eat in the garden, to explore the surroundings of the Cotswolds and the Thames and the kitchen is well equipped. There is a washing machine and a dryer.

Lovely stay in Cotswolds

Lovely cottage , with a small , sunny garden in Lechlade. Comfy beds, very peaceful. Well equipped . Plenty local shops and a few pubs, easy walk to river. Small path off road to property.

Great cottage and location

Our second stay here and as great as the first time. Very close to shops and cafes/pubs and even a playground for children. The cottage is clean and had everything you need, including a beautifully kept garden. Great value for a weekend in the countryside!

Lovely cottage in great location

We really liked the cottage, it was perfect for us as two friends together. We really appreciated the little extras that were left. It was very quiet although central to Lechlade. Parking was in the street but we found somewhere each day for two cars. Highly recommend this cottage

Charming stay in an excellent location

The cottage was a lovely place to stay for the week. The kids enjoyed having their own room with separate beds. The cozy garden was just what we needed after the long trip across the pond. It is well located, within a 3-5 minute walk of grocers, butchers, and pubs. Take a 15 minute stroll down to the Trout Inn if you get a chance, it sits right on the Thames and the staff is very friendly.

Eine tolle Unterkunft in einem hĂŒbschen Dorf mit Allem was man braucht. So richtig englisch! A very lovely cottage in a nice village. The cottage has everything you need and there is even a nice garden to sit outdoor. We can definitely recommend it.

Best visit ever!!

We fell in love with the cottage immediately. It was just as pictured, but somehow more lovely and charming in person!! Julia was so proactive and kind. Parking on the main street was very easy and Lechlade was a fantastic central spot for exploring the Cotswolds. We hope we can visit again soon!!

Wonderful little cottage in Lechlade!

The cottage was gorgeous. It was small, personal and comfy. Everything we needed for our 4 night stay. We explored Lechlade, went to several pubs and ate out, as well as cooked in the cottage. I did lots of sketching, and went fishing with my boys. It was a great short break. Julia's property was perfect.

Just what we wanted

loved this cottage. Had everything we needed and was so cosy and comfortable. The chocolate, cake and wine as much appreciated and enjoyed, thank you. Lechlade was a wonderful place to stay, lots of lovely walks and pubs to relax in, didn’t want to go home. Would definitely recommend the cottage and the village to anyone who wants a relaxing and chill out break.

A great little place to stay

A quaint cottage beautifully presented warm cottage .Had everything you need for a short stay and within walking distance of several places to eat. Parking on Sherborne Place difficult but did manage to find somewhere close by each night. Only con is the lack of a proper shower only a hand held one attached to the taps which without a curtain or glass screen goes everywhere!

Lovely little cottage stay

We had a great time in this two bed, with one bath cottage. The rooms were comfortable, with the twin room having plenty of space (I had been worried it was right when I looked at photos). Welcome treats were a lovely touch. Julia’s communication was excellent. My only suggestion would be to enable stand up hands-free showering by having an attachment for the shower hose head to clip into the wall and a shower curtain. Access is a bit restricted due to the need to go 30m down a little pebbled path to get to the property.

Lovely Cottage

We had a great time at this cottage in Lechlade. The cottage is beautiful and the decoration is delightful. There are plenty of extra touches that demonstrate how the owners take pride in it and want people to enjoy their stay. Probably one of the nicest cottages we've stayed in. We enjoyed walks by the river just 5 mins from the door, fantastic coffee from Lynwood & Co in the village, and of course trips to some of the more mainstream Cotswold attractions - including the surprisingly delightful Dragonfly Maze in Bourton-on-the-Water.

We have always loved Lechlade since we moved there from London just after our first daughter was born. We now live in a nearby village and we have been doing holiday lets in our little cottage for many years. We love welcoming both new and returning visitors.

Nothing gives us greater joy than reading the comments in the visitors book. We really want you to have the most relaxing and enjoyable time possible, and we very much hope you like the complimentary bottle of wine and biscuits!

The cottage provides a peaceful haven yet is a couple of minutes walk to the centre of this lovely cotswold village.
Other special locations ar within a few minutes drive: the medieval market town of Burford to name but one.
Excellent walks are available from the cottage by the river. The Thames path is readily accessible and a nature reserve nearby.
