Magical Cornish Cottage & Garden. Une vue imprenable sur la rivière Fowey et l'église

Smugglers Cottage a été entièrement rénové selon des normes très élevées et dispose de deux chambres pouvant accueillir quatre personnes. Ce chalet magique bénéficie salon à aire ouverte et un jardin privé avec vue imprenable sur la rivière Fowey et la jolie ville. Pour les périodes plus froides de l'année, détendez-vous sur l'un des canapés, par la belle poêle à bois. Journaux gratuits sont inclus. Regardez la rivière et détendez-vous dans le jardin paysagé et ensoleillé, avec un petit bassin décoratif, idéal pour manger en plein air ou se détendre. La cuisine avec sa cuisinière de style gamme a tout ce dont vous avez besoin d'une maison de la maison, y compris une machine à café Nespresso. Le banc et les chaises récupérés dans la salle à manger est l'endroit idéal pour profiter des repas. Les chambres sont meublées avec de belles sommiers, matelas de luxe et 100% linge de lit en coton. Détendez-vous au balcon de Juliette dans la chambre principale et regarder les bateaux passer. Prenez le temps dans la belle salle de bains avec baignoire, douche et fonctionnalité chuté carreaux de galets de verre, il est en plus un bas toilettes supplémentaires idéalement situé. My stay couldn’t have been more perfect. Huge thanks to Ali for being such a considerate host. The cottage is so clean, light and airy. The bed is unbelievably comfortable, there’s loads of hanging space and a chest of drawers. The shower is amazing and the kitchen has everything you need. The view from the back is so special. There are three different seating areas in the beautiful garden to make the most of it. And Ali makes sure you can recycle everything, which is an added bonus!

Fantastic cottage

As soon as we arrived at Smugglers Cottage we knew we were going to have a fantastic week. The cottage has everything you need, the beds are comfortable and the views are incredible. Fowey has lots to offer, great pubs and restaurants, our favourites the Ship Inn, Havener’s and Bufala. The ice cream at Rubys was also a favourite of ours. We definitely want to come back again.

Lovely week in Cornish cottage

Comfortable cottage. Excellent view over the estuary and well designed small garden and nice patio to view it from. The cottage was clean and had all you needed. We found it a little cramped in the living area and the bathroom. Highlights of our week were our several boat trips, scrumptious meals out and day trips to Eden and Heligan.

Wonderful Cottage in a lovely region

This cottage is ideally located for exploring Cornwall and the surrounding area. The walk into the center is steep but short. Great little shops and lots of bars and restaurants round off the holiday perfectly. The ferries to Bodinnick and Polruan run at short intervals and enable wonderful circular walks. Be sure to hike the Coastpath to Lantic Beach, visit the Eden Project (be sure to do the roof tour!) and also walk the Saint Way to Golant. We can highly recommend Fowey and the cottage.

This is a great little cottage. V cosy and v comfortable. V helpful owner and good feeling, wifi was good and access easy, good kitchen equipment and bedding. Some suggestions for consideration: the information book is out of date and is missing some important details eg how to operate the TV, there was no or not much cleaning, dishwashing, dishwasher, washing machine materials for long stays, no mop for floors, little material on Fowey and surrounds (eg maps, information, etc) but overall it was very good

Thank you for your review Carole, we do pride ourselves on making everything perfect for our guests which is why we send a message at the start of your holiday to check everything is ok for you. Had you let us know we could have fixed all of these things for you at any time during your two week holiday. It was unseasonably hot and we would have purchased fans for you and adjusted the shower temperature immediately had we know and put toilet cleaning blocks in the toilets if we knew that was what you preferred. I'm sad to read this review when I can not fix things for you now. To our future guests, we pride ourselves on high standards and if there is anything you need or want you only have to ask and we will fix it for you.

Pete and I moved to Fowey in 2001 after we fell in love with it when we sailed here. We renovated Smugglers Cottage ourselves and wanted to make it a real home from home. We handle the bookings and management of the cleaning and maintenance ourselves with the help of our lovely housekeeper Celene. We both love Fowey and can often be seen out on the water in "Little Gem" our fishing boat.

When we first looked at Smugglers Cottage it was in a sorry state and the garden was overgrown, but we fell in love with the views and magical feeling it had. We really enjoyed renovating it and bringing it back to life. Loving how you can just sit on the terrace and watch the boats go by. Or chill by the fire with a glass of wine. The views are really special from the both inside and out.
