A beautiful property and location. We have been traveling this way for nearly 30 years. You can really tell the difference between a property owner and an impersonal managing company. Kate was great and very responsive.

Absolute bonus having a parking space too. Great communication with the host, Kate, thank you. Lovely touch with the complimentary prosecco upon arrival. All instructions pre visit very clear. We picked the property based on it's location in one of our favourite Cornish towns and with an amazing view of the piers. Finding and parking at the property was very straightforward with the instructions provided. We were lucky to meet Kate on arrival and couldn't have wished to meet a kinder and friendly host.The upside-down nature of the property suited us perfectly and maximised the views from the lounge and balcony areas. Having a viewing of the inner harbour was a bonus whilst cooking and doing the dishes.The town itself is largely quiet in the evening and we found it even more peaceful and relaxing than we could have hoped. After a two week stay, we found it extremely difficult to leave and would happily return for a future stay

Lovely little house

Amazing place! Great view of sea & harbour, had everything we needed, comfortable beds, great shower, lovely and cosy, great parking space! Will be booking again!!

Great short break .

The property was in a lovely location well equipped u had a view of the harbour ,plenty of fab fab fish restaurants .a parking space which was a bonus . Nice golf courses around so a great short break .Thank you to the owners for sharing there lovely home .

Beautiful views in a lovely village

Spent a fantastic week in a lovely house with great views iver the harbour and sea. A lovely upside down house with all the facilities you need. Highly recommended!

Wonderful view and location

Fantastic location, although the drive up the harbour is not for the faint hearted! Nicely laid out and spacious accommodation, with the view being the standout feature. The general cleanliness was ok but we felt a few things in the accommodation were just a bit tired.

Bit disappointed in the overall tiredness of the property, could have been a lot better. Some items dusty, surfaces not cleaned and just overall condition of things in generall. Location was good and provisions plentiful.

Perfect Location

Lovely upside down ( to maximise view) home from home. Even though really in the thick of things on the Quay during the day very quiet at night. As had 3 cars on our party so buying weekly passes for the Willows car park worked really well. Had a great rib ride and lots of lovely evening harbour walks.

Great location

The upside down nature of the house, made the most of the view of the harbour. It had everything we needed to enjoy a week in the area. The bottle of Prosecco was well received after a nightmare journey (traffic, traffic and more traffic) The instructions on how to get to the apartment and the key was perfect....the drive along the harbour is not for everyone, but perfectly manageable Would definitely recommend this place to stay in

Wonderful stay

The property is located in a fantastic place at the end of East Quay with superb views of the harbour. The property was clean and welcoming. We arrived early and met Kate the owner - a lovely lady and very welcoming. She left us a bottle of wine, some chocolates and some brioche buns - what a lovely touch! Highly recommended and I am sure we will come back again. Thanks Kate.

The communication with Kate was excellent.The view from the balcony was very nice, as Fishermens House is located very central at the harbour of Mevagissey.To go there by car you should stay calm as you drive along eastquay and there are many people walking around on a sunny day.The living room & kitchen area is very comfortable.Sadly we had to clean the kitchen and the bathroom first when we arrived, as they were not properly cleaned.If you want a central cosy holiday home at the harbour you should book Fishermans House.

A lovely Break at the Fishermans House Mevagissey

This was a great week in Mevagissey with everything we might have wished for. A comfy cottage with a great view of the harbour, a short walk to the local shops, a selection of Pubs nearby and parking at the property. Everyone we met there made us feel welcome and with so much to do in the area, the week flew by. We particularly enjoyed walking to the Lost Gardens of Heligan with its beautiful grounds and attractions. Inside the Eden project we were warm and dry to counter the classic Cornish weather. We also enjoyed our visit to the Bodmin and Wenford steam railway, the Screech Owl sanctuary and a lovely day out at Tintagel to walk across the new bridge and see the bronze statue of King Arthur. All in all a lovely holiday, a week was not long enough, and hope we can come back again, so much to see and do in this area of Cornwall.

Disappointed

Really disappointed to have 3 days of works to install a new sewage pump right outside our property, I have a photo of the crane used for the work, they stated early and finished late each day, essential work but poor timing for our visit to a property that has nearly doubled in rental cost since our last visit only in September last year

I am very sorry that you were disturbed by South West Water's repair of the pumping station. It is not something I have any control over. From time to time maintenance is required, this will have been difficult to do during the pandemic. Your last visit was at the end of September/beginning of October which has a different pricing structure to stays in May. I can assure you comparable prices with other property in the area would see you paying more.

Perfect location

This is a lovely place, right at the end of the Harbor with free parking (which you will appreciate, once you get there and see what your other options might have been). We had a bit of trouble getting in touch with the owners initially and with VRBO not sending us the "greetings email" prepared by the owners, but once that was sorted out, the rest was terrific. There are 2 bedrooms and a full bath downstairs and the main living upstairs (16 fairly step steps, just be aware). The kitchen had a full size refrigerator and plenty of cooking utensils and also spices, which was a lovely surprise. Small balcony had a delightful view of the harbor - everything was true to the picutues. My only suggestion would be to move the mirror in the downstairs hall, to a space above the heater in the hall, so "girls" can blow dry their hair. - I couldn't find any sockets that corresponded to mirrors for the master bedroom, so this was what I did to avoid, blowing, running to the bathroom to check, blowing, running, repeat! We would go back in a heartbeat !

Good thoughts about the hairdryer. Have an hilarious picture of you blow drying, running to bathroom to check progress and then back to dryer! Will certainly think about adding a socket nearer the mirror in the master bedroom. There is one in the twin! Appreciate your feedback

Mevigissey

Upstairs of property was good but needs a little overhall in kitchen cupboards where door hanging loosly. Info pack just manuals with no details of where andthat appliances needed to be turned o at mains etc as these details missing from manal info. Downstairs needs some tweeks. Needs coat hooks in hall and a clothes drier to be able dry wet clothes on, we had a wet week and had coats to dry. Also needs somewhere to sit with a mirror to dry hair and do make up etc. Need more coathangers especially if 4 guests were staying as the cupboard is the only hanging space and draws not wide enought to take clothes without folding them up.Car access is as expected however car can get blocked in due to vans parking in a space that specifically states no parking on bottom right side. Had difficulty getting out of space due to this space being used.

Die Wohnung liegt ideal in der Nähe des Hafens, man kann auf dem kleinen Balkon das Meer sehen/hören. 3 Minuten zur Hauptmeile in Mevagissey, diverse urige Pubs/Restaurants , mehrere Cornish Bakerys mit leckeren Backwaren, ein kleiner Supermarkt mit allen Dingen. Wir waren sehr angetan und werden sicher wiederkommen

Een gezellig huis met uitzicht op zee en balkon, en een personal touch. Binnen een dag was het ons “thuis”. Mevagissey is een leuk vissersdorpje met allerlei winkeltjes, een museum en een aquarium. Er is genoeg te zien en te doen. We moesten even wennen aan de nauwe straatjes, maar omdat iedereen kalm blijft en elkaar helpt, gaat alles goed. We hebben uitstapjes gemaakt naar o.a. St Ives (musea, strand), Truro (kathedraal concert) en Hemmick Beach (zee en wind). We hebben erg genoten!

Schöne Wohnung, schöner Ort,zu viele Tagestouristen

Die Wohnung ist zweckmäßig eingerichtet, die Lage ist sehr schön und ruhig. Die Anfahrt zur Wohnung ist nur über einen schmalen Weg direkt an der Hafenmole zu erreichen, was sich jetzt in der Hauptsaison als teilweise schwierig bis hin zu kritisch dargestellt hat. Der Weg wird durch parkende Autos, Food Ständen, Hunden und Menschen teilweise blockiert, so dass man Ausflüge bis auf wenige eingeschränkt hat, um die An- und Ausfahrt zu vermeiden. Mevagissey ist ein sehr schöner, kleiner belebter Ort der eine Reise wert ist, aufgrund der vielen Tagestouristen doch eher etwas für die Nebensaison.
