Charmante villa individuelle avec piscine, jardin et vue sur la mer dans l'ouest de l'Algarve. Un grand salon aéré avec des feux de bois pour l'hiver et la climatisation pour l'été. Cette chambre dispose de portes-fenêtres menant à la terrasse extérieure. La salle à manger avec des sièges pour huit personnes a également des portes-fenêtres menant à la terrasse extérieure et à la piscine. Beaux jardins paysagers avec piscine (chauffée en option), un barbecue portugais traditionnel extérieur et des chaises longues pour se détendre au bord de la piscine. Il y a trois salles à manger extérieures, toutes avec des meubles de qualité pouvant accueillir huit personnes et toutes sont couvertes de voiles d'ombrage pour empêcher les rayons nocifs du soleil tout en vous permettant de bronzer en dessous. Il y a un certain nombre de merveilleux restaurants à proximité de la villa. Pour ceux qui souhaitent se rendre dans la ville voisine de Lagos, un grand nombre de restaurants servant une cuisine internationale ainsi que des plats portugais traditionnels de bon rapport qualité-prix peuvent être trouvés.

Relaxing vacation

We had a wonderful time at Villa Julia. The location of the house was within walking distance to the beach and many restaurants. The view from the house was wonderful and the beds were very comfortable. We were very pleased with our stay. Thank you for a relaxing vacation!

What a wonderful stay we had.

This is a great property to spend the day at or come home to relax with a glass of wine after a day of beaching/sightseeing. Probably the most fully equipped kitchen I’ve ever had with a home rental. We stayed for a week and had all breakfasts a and all but one dinner at home. Lots of great seating for sun or shade all day long. Beds were comfy with great pillows. Great spot for anyone. Thank you Jan. It was fantastic!!

Amazing place to stay in the Algarve

The house was everything we had hoped it would be. The inside and outside of the house, decorated beautifully and well taken care of. The kitchen was one of the most well equipped kitchen I have ever been in. The bedrooms were large, and there were so many bathrooms that everyone had their own bathroom to use. We couldn’t have found anything that accommodated our needs any better. We would recommend this place to anyone.

Wonderful family vacation

I spent 8 days at the villa with my family. The villa was spacious and comfortable for 6 adults. We love to cook and the villa has a wonderfully well stocked kitchen. We made many delicious and a fun meals. The location is handy for both Luz and Lagos. My kids enjoyed the running paths and the pool. Jan and her team were responsive and helpful and Jan had excellent wine recommendations. All in all, a lovely time at a lovely spot.

We all loved the villa, inside and out. The garden is well established and a lovely place to sit in. There are several areas to sit, relax or eat. The whole family enjoyed the pool. My 5 year old granddaughter learnt to swim in it- great size for children. It is also well maintained once a week. The property is well equipped in the kitchen and bedrooms. The owner is very approachable and employs an agent to oversee the property. I believe a car is pretty essential as the beach and shops are a little distance away. We were all very happy with our stay in Villa Julia and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

A Wonderful Property!

A real home from home! The villa was exceptionally clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Every comfort had been thought of from lots of bedding, different types of pillows, kitchen equipment, cool boxes, crockery of every description you could ever need! The outside area was also exceptional. We loved the balcony with comfy seating to suit sun lovers to those wanting shade. The pool and the gardens were lovely too!

Fabulous villa, excellent communication from owner & wonderful location

We stayed at Villa Julia for three weeks. Jan couldn't have been more helpful or attentive with instructions before we left & during our stay. The villa is an excellent location, with stunning beaches close by. Luz is a lovely village, Lagos is great for evenings out and only a short drive away. The villa was spacious & spotless when we arrived & the cleaner came three times a week & was v helpful. We'd highly recommend this villa!

Fantastic property in a fantastic location. Had everything we needed and more

Jan, the owner of the property was very helpful as soon as we made our enquiry to book. The whole booking process and regular updates regarding the property was very impressive. The property itself was everything we had hoped for and more. The photographs and the description on the site do look really impressive but to actually be there and live there was literally amazing. The property is in a fantastic location just a relatively short walk to the beautiful town of Praia da Luz and a very short drive to the even smaller but great little neighbourhood of Burgau. Villa Julia had more than ample space for our family of 4. Kitchen and living areas all bright and big. Bedrooms also a very good size with balconies and amazing coastal views. Pool was fantastic with sun all day if required and plenty of shaded areas with the eye catching sails providing this. We had a wonderful lady who came 3 times a week to clean and change bedding etc.and we also had gardeners attending to keep the surrounding grounds - and there is a lot of surrounding ground - neat and tidy. Overall a fantastic stay in a beautiful property in a beautiful location. We will defineteley be back!

Relaxing & beautiful holiday home

We've been to Villa Julia on a number of occasions - never disappointed. All the facilities for a family holiday, close to Praia de Luz & local beaches. But quiet & comfortable as a base for a short break, or for touring around the Algarve. Highly recommended.

Wonderful holiday!

Relaxing long weekend

We had a fantastic stay at Villa Julia, we only wish we could have stayed longer the villa is superbly equipped and extremely comfortable with everything you could possibly need on hand . The outside space is great with lots of different areas to sit and relax and shade from the sun. I would definately recommend Villa Julia and Jan was so helpful throughout , we can't wait to return !!!

Many thanks to the writer of this review. When we furnished Villa Julia we asked ourselves what we would want from a holiday villa. We would have wanted a 'home from home' where everything we had at home was also in the villa. The kitchen would have the measuring spoons as well as the microwave, the juicer as well as the oven, the expresso machine as well as the fridge freezer, in other words, it would have all the little things as well as the basics. We wanted the outside furniture to be as luxurious and plentiful as the inside furniture. We wanted space to sometimes get away by ourselves and read a book as well as good communal areas where families and friends could join together for memorable meals and drinks. We wanted people to walk in the door and say 'wow, this is lovely' but not be intimidated by it and afraid to relax there. If we have achieved that for our guests we are thrilled. I think we must have gone a long way towards that as many of our guests return year after year and tell me they feel as though they are coming home.

Unforgettable Holiday

Villa Julia in Praia da LUZ was the perfect location for our family holiday. Villa Julia offers superb amenities with panoramic views overlooking the bay. Villa Julia is spotlessly clean and very well maintained. Location is perfect to relax by the pool or to explore the activities and attractions of the area. Spoilt for choice with dining in on one of the upper terraces or a variety of local restaurants giving a selection of good food and wine. Perfect!

'It Does Not Get Better Than This'

Its in the Title. But let me break it down a little more. my wife and 12 year old son wanted a weeks break with absolutely No Hassle. A couple of weeks before our flights, we received a welcome/information pack from the villa owners, so when the day of our flights came this pack guided us straight to our car rental and perfect driving directions to the Villa. It was obvious from the start, located off a main road, a winding road leading to the villa took us from the nearby town of Luz to the quiet but stunning surroundings of lovely properties where the Villa was located. Upon driving through the electric gates into the beautiful gardens of our holiday home it lived up to all our expectations and more. We immediately explored our accommodation and could not believe just how amazing it all was. A kitchen fit for kings, laundry room, all the home from home comforts and more. It would be easier to say what was not there than to list what was, but take it from me it had it all. The Villa was also beautifully clean with a fantastic fresh smell all over. It is clear to see that every room had been extremely well thought out, with fine attention to detail given. This also applies to the outside where a purpose brick chimney barbeque had been built, and the poolside furniture was again to the highest standards. With no expense spared, we felt immediately comfortable and relaxed. The pool was tested and the owners had put the heating on for us. To be honest we were not expecting great temperatures when we went, but were lucky enough to be granted them. We ventured into the nearby Town of Luz only a couple of minutes by car and immediately found everything we were looking for, including great people who could not have done enough for us. Over our week we ate at some restaurants recommended by the owners and they were great and well priced. In fact, in the Villa there is a local reference guide containing useful places to visit, eat etc. I am lucky enough to say I have travelled extensively, but to have standards so high, and furnishings with so much thought I was blown away. Our family had the best week we have had in years, and it was all down to choosing a Villa that did everything it said it would. I should point out that the owners could not have been more helpful, supplying as much help as you needed. A Big Thank You to the owners, FANTASTIC!!!

Outstanding

This villa is absolutely beautiful and we can't recommend it highly enough. Every consideration has been taken into account for your stay, whether your a small family of three, as we were or a group there's plenty of room to have your own space or get together round the pool or dining areas. The whole villa has that personal feel about it. Beautifully decorated, comfortable and clean. If this was my home, I wouldn't be sharing it with anyone...........perfect. We'll definately be booking again!

I personally speak to all our guests and ask them if there was anything they wanted that they did not find in the villa. We then make sure they have that item when they return. Almost 80% of our clients are returning guests who, having found the villa, it fitting their needs, like the familiarity of returning to somewhere that they feel is like a second home. Home from home

This has not been our first holiday at Vila Julia and we booked again for 2014 immediately upon our return to Uk. The first time we arrived at the Villa we felt we had won the jackpot! It is simply amazing, luxurious yet homely, beautifully and tastefully furnished and the whole Villa and grounds maintained to the highest standard. The kitchen is fitted out with everything you could possibly need from crockery, cutlery pots pans to coffee machines, gadgets, whisks etc. The bedrooms are roomy and immaculate, the bathrooms modern and spacious and the lounge and dining room gorgeous. The Villa has an abundance of garden furniture even on the balcony that encompasses the bedrooms on the first floor. The pool and gardens are well maintained with a purpose built barbecue and added bonus. I would summarise the villa by saying it is not just a holiday let but a home that is lovingly maintained. The Villa belongs to the Mitman family and Jan Mitman has been a delight to deal with. We are eternally grateful for the lengths to which she gone to ensure that we have had everything we needed to make our stay perfect. We feel very blessed that she has allowed us to use her home for our summer holiday and although we have never met her personally she feels like a family friend. Julietta , the maid, has worked at the Villa for many years and was an added bonus to our stay. She was always cheerful and helpful and we looked forward to her visits. Vila Julia surpassed all our expectations and we would recommend it unreservedly to anyone considering staying there in the future. We are looking forward to returning in August 2014. Sue
