Le chalet Driftwood est une conversion étonnante d'une ancienne tonnellerie située dans un emplacement spectaculaire au bord de l'eau et est idéal pour ceux qui souhaitent passer du temps au bord de la mer dans un cadre magnifique. Il bénéficie désormais également du nouveau coin salon extérieur (Sitooterie) accessible par la cour à l'arrière du chalet.
Le chalet Driftwood est situé dans l'un des nombreux petits villages de pêcheurs du pittoresque East Neuk de Fife. Ce chalet, entièrement rénové aux normes les plus élevées et décoré avec goût, est une base idéale pour explorer cette merveilleuse partie de l'Écosse. C'est un endroit fantastique pour des vacances, avec des plages de sable primées, des terrains de golf de classe mondiale, une gamme complète de sports nautiques, de belles promenades côtières et de nombreuses autres activités de vacances à proximité. Il existe de nombreux pubs et restaurants dans la région, allant du célèbre "Anstruther Chippie" aux restaurants de fruits de mer primés. La ville historique de St Andrews est à seulement 15 minutes. Cette partie de Fife est également idéale pour explorer plus loin. Il n'est qu'à une heure de route d'Édimbourg, de Stirling et de Perth. La région est riche en intérêt historique avec plusieurs propriétés du National Trust à proximité, y compris le palais Falkland, le château Kellie et la colline de Tarvit.

Peaceful haven with glorious views

We stayed at Drfitwood Cottage for my daughter’s graduation. St Andrews was bustling with activity and excitement from first thing until late - great fun! But the best bit was being able to retreat to Driftwood for some peace, coffee and a glass of champagne all with a breathtaking view - come rain or shine. Spacious, spotless and comfortable - thank you! Wonderful walks from the door and great place to dine out on your doorstep.

Spectacular Seaview Cottage

If you are searching for a seaside, comfortable and clean cottage, then this cottage will delight you! Located in Cellardyke, the cottage’s location is perfect for day trips to nearby fishing villages as well as St Andrews. We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this cottage and highly recommend it!

Our title says it all. Our week in Cellardyke was all we had dreamed of and more. The views from the cottage are spectacular and the accommodations are outstanding. Hosts are the best. Would highly recommend to friends and family alike. We will be back!

Fife Coastal Path

Janis and Ian made us feel very welcome. Before and on arrival responding to our questions and needs. We used this property while walking the Fife Coastal Path (FCP) and it was perfect - spacious, well appointed, good parking, close to amenities, great location (right on the FCP) and not forgetting the fantastic view from the property. Would definitely recommend this property to others.

Delightful seaside experience

This apartment is a two level unit, bedrooms and bathrooms on the first level, kitchen and living room on the second level. The views from the second level are of a rocky coastline which I found superb. The town is small, the coastline roads narrow. Be prepared for an interesting driving experience. I recommend walking to the several very good restaurants in town. Lastly, I must give credit to our exceptional hosts, Ian and Janice. Ian met us and explained the mechanics of the apartment, and answered questions thoughtfully. This has not been the case with other VRBO locations. I had the opportunity to play a round of golf with Ian and it was simply delightful! In addition, his advice on other golf courses was spot on. This was simply the best stop on out three week vacation to the British Isles. Thanks again to our hosts for an exceptional week. I hope to return.

face à une "Ile Mystérieuse", des pêcheurs de homards posent leurs casiers, homards que l'on dégustera sur la jetée du port de Crail. De bonnes choses, de bons souvenirs, des oiseaux et même un lapin venant dire bonjour sous nos fenêtres ! un cottage confortable, un accueil précis et confiant, un aménagement haut de gamme. Une excellente semaine, qui se conclut par "pourquoi rentrer si tôt?"

Driftwood cottage

On first sight we were just so happy with the house . There was lovely attention to detail on everything . The cottage is so well cared for and immaculately clean. The decor is relaxing and peaceful. We did not need to look for anything everything was provided for us . Including fresh flowers . The host popped in to check we were ok on our first evening and check if we needed anything . The walled garden looking out to sea is a treat for watching and photographing the many sea birds . There’s plent to do from walking to visiting the village and other fishing villages along the coast , all are just around 17 minutes from the cottage . Highly recommend you stay at one of the Cooperage cottages they are amazing you won’t be disappointed

Review of Driftwood

Driftwood (cottage number 5), was absolutely immaculate on our arrival and had everything we required for our stay. The view from the cottage is stunning and is certainly a view we never tired of. The hosts have put careful thought into making the cottage a home from home and we will certainly return and have no trouble recommending it to friends.

Enjoy the breathtaking sea views form the upstairs open plan lounge/diner in this wonderful conversion of an old Cooperage steeped in history dating back to 1877. Have a memorable stay in part of what was once "Cormack's fish curing sheds & Cooperage"
The property also has guaranteed parking which is very unusual for seafront cottages in the picturesque East Neuk fishing villages.
