Wonderful stay! The place is big and bright, and the views from the balcony are magical. The bed was very comfortable. It was great being so close to the walking path along the water. Communication with Nyara was excellent.

fantastic appartement

What a wonderfull stay!! So near the see, that you hear the waves on the beach.THE VIEW IS GORGIOUS. The appartment is very clean, modern, has a swimming-pool. The location is also very good, with fish-restaurants nearby and great possiblilities for walking along the sea.

We've just returned from a 2 week stay at this apartment. Everything went very smoothly. Nyara is an excellent host who responded to all queries quickly and efficiently. From booking our airport taxi transfers to advice on local restaurants, we can't fault her. The apartment was clean and spacious with air conditioning in the bedrooms which was a must as the weather was very hot for September!

Fantastic apartment amazing location

We have just returned from an amazing week in Madeira the apartment was fantastic amazing balcony with the sun and loveley views. Niara. And Miguel were very helpful giving us useful information and booking taxis to and from the airport and we really enjoyed Miguels half day jeep tour. Would definitely stay again Barbara

Family October break

We loved the location of the apartment being right on the sea front and with access to a pool too. The balconies were also a great space and south facing but with awnings for shade. The walkway up to the main town has just been destroyed by weather so it was a longer walk to the main centre but there are good restaurants close by. We had a car and it was a good base for exploring. We'd come again

The walking path along the sea to the closest villa of Câmara de Lobos was not destroyed and along the way you have in fact several restaurants with esplanades by the sea. There is also some steps just in front of the complex to go directly to the upper main road, from where you can easilly go to Funchal city centre, with plenty of buses running on it and also grocery shops and other shops for those who haven't a car. I will be here waiting for your next visit! You will always be welcome here!

AMAZING VIEW

The description of the apartment was accurate. The layout was perfect and the master bedroom had an amazing view. At night we kept the balcony door open a bit and you could hear the ocean waves - what an experience! The apartment was clean and had all the emenities you need. Location was perfect for us. Niara - was a perfect host meeting us at the condo with tips and advice. We emailed her through out the week asking for advice on restaurants,. Highly recommend the Jeep tour, Miguel our driver was great. Loved his sense of humour!! Highly recommend this apartment while in Madeira! .

Simply Stunning

We recently had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful penthouse apartment, each room was spacious with an airy layout.Every room was immaculately clean and stocked with thoughtful amenities that made us feel at home.The true highlight of this apartment was the expansive roof terrace and balcony with panoramic views that were simply stunning and we loved the sound of the waves. We also made use of the pool, although it was quite cool in December, it was refreshing!We found it a great area to stay, with plenty of bars and restaurants in the vicinity without the need to go into Funchal centre every day. Madeira is generally very hilly and to walk to the top of the main road, you have to climb a lot of steps, or walk along the road which is a longer way round, but not as steep! When we did walk into Funchal, there was a lovely coastal path walk that we took and we were pleased that the tunnel was open that cuts through the cliffs.Unfortunately the coastal path walking the opposite direction to Câmara de Lobos was closed when we were there, but we got a taxi there and bus back. We found Bolt were a lot cheaper for taxi’s and we believe Uber has just started up there.Nyara was a great host and was quick to answer and resolve any small issues we had. We will definitely be back!

Great spot from which to enjoy Madeira

How can you beat a penthouse apartment right on the beach with unrestricted views of the ocean and coast line. Walking here is a little difficult and requires motor transportation, either a public service like bolt or a bus or a rented car, but then if you are in good shape, you can climb a few stories along steps to the main road, or you can walk along the beach heading toward Funchal, pass through a tunnel and reach the Lido. The apartment is clean and comfortable. The building is a little old and in need of some updating, but in no way detracted from the stay. There are many local restaurants along the beach which make for lovely sunset walks and dining and drinking options. The only complaint that we had is that there is no central or unit air conditioning in the apartment, and despite being on the beach, there is not a lot of air flow into the apartment, so nights were hot and sticky. There is a portable unit that has an exhaust pipe that must be rigged to an exterior window and was able to cool one of the small bedrooms, but it could not be used for the master bedroom or any of the rest of the apartment. So my wife slept in that little room and this allowed me to wake up in the middle of the night and step out on to the balcony and watch the moon over the sea. Nyara, the hostess, was helpful and responsive and accomodating.

It was a pleasure have you as my guests and I’m happy you enjoyed your stay in my apartment. Madeira island normally has a mild climate all year round but you can feel it a bitter warmer because we have the humidity. Most of the year we don’t need heather nor airconditioning (only few days per year can be a bit warmer but never more than 25 C in the hottest days) and normally we have the breeze of the sea. The Penthouse

My husband and I have recently returned from three wonderful weeks in Madeira - two of which were spent staying in the beautiful "Atlantic Gardens" Apartments. - on Formosa beach. This really is a "Waterfront Location." I don't think that either one of us was prepared for quite such a delightful place in this idilic location. The views from the spacious "Penthouse" balcony which look directly out to sea are truly magnificent. We booked our holiday through "Owners Direct" and were introduced through e mail to a delightful young couple Niara and Miguel Figueir who own and rent out this lovely apartment and who, in addition to being quite charming were "efficiency personified". Nothing was too much trouble for Niara - each and every question asked being answered both quickly and professionally. She was tireless in her efforts to please, and to ensure that our holiday there was "trouble free". (which it was!) During our stay, a huge bonus for us was discovering that her husband Miguel is a driver in the local Jeep company "Jeep Tour Classic UMM" so we were fortunate to book an "off road" tour with him and discover even more of the delights and hidden gems of this beautiful island. Miguel is an excellent driver who is passionate about his homeland and went to endless trouble to teach us (with his excellent English) the maximum possible during our tour with him. If this is all painting the correct picture as you read it - and the fact that we have already rebooked for next year, should in itself be recommendation enough !!!!

Super appartement

Vue exceptionnelle, accès direct à la plage (ce qui a l'air assez rare sur cette partie de l'île), conditions climatiques meilleures qu'à qqs kilomètres de là. La terrasse - bronzarium - au dernier étage et le balcon sont des pièces à part entière où il fait bon vivre. L'appartement est fonctionnel et très propre, Nyara essaie de nous faciliter au max les vacances (répond rapidement aux messages et donne de bons conseils). Merci

très bel appartement spacieux avec une vue magnifique

Nous sommes arrivées tard le soir et n'avons pas dérangé notre hôtesse car l'appartement possède une boite à clés et cela est très pratique. appartement pratiquement sur la mer dans une très belle résidence avec grande piscine Notre Hôtesse Niara le lendemain matin nous a donné de bons conseils pour passer de bonnes vacances Il y aurait juste un bémol : par rapport à la situation de l'appartement qui n'est pas desservi par les transports en commun (sauf navette aéroport) donc une voiture de location est indispensable si l'on ne veut pas grimper 134 marches suivi d'un raidillon très très pentu et surtout si les vacanciers ont des enfants en bas âge !! autrement, n'hésitez pas l'endroit est idyllique et l'appartement vraiment sympa et très propre Si vous n'avez pas envie de faire le petit déjeuner l'hôtel juste à côté le propose (buffet bien garni) sur terrasse en front de mer n'hésitez pas non plus à demander à Miguel le Chéri de Niara de vous emmener en excursion dans son 4X4 car le prix est raisonnable et il vous fera traverser des paysages époustouflants hors des sentiers battus par les tour operator bonnes vacances !!!

Merci beaucoup pour vos paroles. Ce fut un plaisir de vous avoir ici et je suis heureux que vous ayez apprécié votre séjour. En fait, l'appartement est situé dans un appart'hôtel 4 étoiles en bord de mer. Comme Madère est assez raide tout monte toujours du niveau de la mer, y compris la route principale ("Route Monumental"), où il y a beaucoup de bus publics, ce qui n'est pas loin mais en fait il faut grimper un peu. Malheureusement pendant votre séjour l'accès le plus facile à la route principale a été fermé en raison du mauvais temps mais normalement vous pourrez trouver un accès plus facile le long de la plage, en traversant un tunnel qui donnera aux piscines naturelles et d'ici seulement besoin de monter des escaliers le long de la mer (avec une vue magnifique!) pour se rendre à l'arrêt de bus le plus proche. Donc, si vous n'êtes pas prêt à grimper, vous pouvez placer une voiture. L'aérobus peut être une option pour aller au centre de Funchal, car il passe par là aussi. Mais à tout moment, vous pouvez toujours appeler un taxi à la réception. Vous serez toujours le bienvenu ici!

Location idéale pour nous!

Bel appartement au dernier étage, confortable et spacieux, belles terrasses, vue magnifique, résidence calme et agréable, très propre. Très bien situé pour aller à Funchal et explorer l'île. Accueil très gentil de Niara, très disponible pour un conseil ou un renseignement... Un bon vin portugais à l'arrivée, c'est sympathique! Nous conseillons cette location! Nous avons adoré Madère!

Lite slitet men fina terrasser

Lägenheten och byggnaden är mer slitna än vad som framgår av bilderna. Det sovrum som har utsikt mot havet är jättefint men de två andra är ganska mörka. Balkongen och terrassen är toppen.

I'm happy you have enjoyed your stay, the balcony, the rooftop terrace and the bedroom with sea view - most of the apartments in this building only have rooms facing the back (this is one of the few that has a room with a sea view). Die zwei Wochen Ende August waren ein wunderbarer, entspannter und erholsamer Urlaub. Unsere Gastgeberin war stets hilfsbereit bei Fragen zum Aufenthalt und hat uns auch schöne Vorschläge für Erkundungen und Sehenswürdigkeiten gemacht. Die Unterkunft war sehr gut und wir kommen bestimmt mal wieder.

Meeresrauschen im Ohr....

Wir, 3 Freundinnen, haben alles so vorgefunden, wie beschrieben. Vor allem der große Balkon macht unbeschreibliches Urlaubsfeeling. Nyara ist eine sehr freundliche und zugewandte Gastgeberin. Sie war immer erreichbar und beantwortete alle Fragen sehr schnell. Im Vorfeld gab sie schon viele hilfreiche Tipps und Informationen. Als schwierig empfanden wir das Einkaufen ohne Mietwagen. Der Weg zum Bäcker und kleinen Lebensmittelladen ist schwierig, über viele Treppen muss viel Höhe überwunden werden...wir nahmen öfters ein Taxi, um unsere Einkäufe zu transportieren. Sehr schön kann man einen Einkauf mit einem gemütlichen Bummel durch Camara de Lobos verbinden...und dem ein oder anderen Gläschen Poncha. Direkt neben dem Supermarkt stehen Taxis. Der schöne Weg am Meer entlang dauert ca. 40 Minuten. Im Vorfeld waren uns die unterschiedlichen Standards der Schlafzimmer nicht bewusst. Vor allem das 3. Zimmer ist ziemlich klein. Eine Jeeptour mit Miguel, Nyaras Mann, gab uns wunderbare Einblicke in die grandiose Landschaft Madeiras. Es gibt zahlreiche Anbieter für Levada Wanderungen und Inseltouren mit dem Kleinbus. Bereits bei Ankunft erwartete mich Nyara im App. Auch während des Urlaubes war sie problemlos zu erreichen und gab viele hilfreiche Tipps. Das App-entspricht den Fotos uns ist mit allem Notwendingen ausgestattet. Mit dem Flughafenbus - hält direkt vor der Anlage - ist man bequem für 5 EUR in der Stadt. Einfach nur traumhaft ist der unverbaute Blick vom Balkon/Terrasse. Dies ist Erholung pur! Ich komme bestimmt wieder.
