This is the most wonderful home in every way! The decor is very nice. The house is clean and well stocked. We sat on the front and back porch while there and enjoyed it! Good communication with host, quiet neighborhood with quick access to the beach. The pricing was reasonable with the exception of the cleaning fee. I understand the rationale behind the fee but with that fee I wouldn’t expect that the guests would be required to do a lot of the basic tidy work before we left. Example- taking all the sheets off the bed, putting the towels in the washer, etc. This fee may be a standard in the area but next time I’ll will be more mindful of said fees.

In all fairness, please allow me to address several of your comments regarding your displeasure with my rental. 1) The cleaning fee of $80 was disclosed when you agreed to rent our vacation home. I also pay my cleaners $80 but I was charged an additional $20 after your stay for excessive sand in the home! 2) You were NOT asked to wash towels, but only to place them in the laundry basket so that they could be collected to be laundered after your departure.

Great host and communication. A very short walk to the beach. House exactly as pictured. Older home but well appointed with pots, pans, utensils, shampoo, conditioner, detergent, etc. Great fenced yard for the pup and dog bowls provided. The only negative is the home is near a homeless community in a vacant lot nearby. If you have little kids avoid walking up 35th. We experienced two run-ins with emergency crews taking people away who were unwell.

We love the island life! We are blessed with a beautiful family, career and now this awesome beach home. We work really hard, so we can play really hard. We love to have family time, travel, and fish. We purchased this house to share with lots of family and friends and hope that you will enjoy it as much as we do. Our goal is for all of our guests to sit back, relax and love Galveston as much as we do.

We love the beach, love to fish, and most of all we love family time! Therefore, with Galveston only one hour away, we all decided this was the perfect place. Galveston has so much history, charm, GREAT restaurants, shopping and so much more to see and do that you can easily spend a week here and never run out of things to do. It also has the world's longest continuous sidewalk which attracts walkers, joggers, bicyclists, skaters and many more activities. So, if you like to be active, it's a great place or, if you prefer to relax, just grab a good book and enjoy the beach! We wanted to allow others to enjoy Galveston and our home as much as we do; therefore, we designed and furnished our home with comfort and entertainment in mind. Consequently, it's not just a vacation rental, it's a vacation home! Seaside Delight has been fully renovated with all new appliances, remodeled bathrooms, refinished floors and great bedrooms. With a large private deck and backyard. It is like a brand new home, but maintains the charming, historic cottage look and feel of the early 1900's.

Seaside Delight is just that. A delightful home for your vacation. Close to the Pleasure Pier, the historic Strand and just 5 blocks to the beach! For parking ease, we have a long driveway with access from the front of the house. You can easily park your boat or 4 large vehicles without relying on street parking. If you like entertaining outdoors you will love our backyard retreat with a privacy fence, large deck and plenty of seating areas.
