Situé dans l'une des régions les plus ensoleillées de France sur les frontières Vendée / Loire. L'Espoir plein sud clôturé et la piscine fermée et des jardins sécurisés vous offre une vue imprenable sur la campagne française. A quelques pas de notre village de Boismé, où vous trouverez une boulangerie / boutique pour vos croissants du matin, du pain frais tout au long de la journée, les légumes fromage et les œufs locaux, le vin et bien plus encore. Le café est très sympathique et sert des repas et des boissons. Nos clients ont déjà dit qu'ils se sentent détendus et moins de stress dans les heures hors arrivée à L'Espoir. Le sentiment de calme calme dans le pays, avec ses chants d'oiseaux le matin beau ciel étoilé le soir avec le tracker de temps en temps dans la distance rend pour une expérience de campagne vraiment français. La ville de Bressuire est à 10 minutes où vous trouverez de grands hypermarchés cafés restaurants de magasins spécialisés et le château à visiter.

L'Espoir - A lovely and relaxing holiday

The whole site was beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. The swimming pool was used daily and was a focal point for so much enjoyment. We can't wait to return and thoroughly recommend L'Espoir for a holiday.

Private, peaceful and excellent

The property is spacious and extremely well equipped, we wanted for nothing. Wifi kept the teenagers content in the evening and the pool, boules and local football pitch content by day. So peaceful and private, often saw deer nearby on journeys, so many birds too. Well placed for Puy de Fou, La Rochelle and Saumer as well as smaller more local towns/villages. Very helpful local managers, and the whole experience from booking and receiving such helpful and friendly advice from the owners to our reluctant departure was one of our best in France, we are quite seasoned at this. Would thoroughly recommend.

Lovely comfortable welcoming house

We loved this house, we were a family group of mixed ages and everyone had a ball. Helen was unbelievably patient with all my queries and questions. We were very lucky and had great weather. The house has everything you need Sky tv, wifi, a brilliantly equipped kitchen and the pool which everyone really enjoyed every minute in. Its exactly 2km to the village which has a lovely bakery. We never managed to get a meal in the restaurant as it was either closed or getting work done when we tried so we just gave up and had lovely barbeques at the house. Bressuire is a very easy 10 minute drive and theres a huge Carrefour there with everything you would need for your stay. I would highly recommend this house if you want to get away from it all.

Super holiday!

We have just returned from 3 weeks in France,two of which were spent at L'Espoir. We had a lovely time and have returned from holiday very relaxed. We have 5 young children ranging in age from 3 to 11. The house is situated just outside a little village called Boisme. We didn't visit the village much,preferring to shop at the hypermarkets and patisseries of the larger Bressuire. Bressuire is lovely and we enjoyed visiting the pretty chateau. The garden is beautiful,full of flowering plants and fruit trees. The children had such fun playing with the lizards they spotted now and then and even named them all. The also made friends with Fiji the dog from across the road! The house is a traditional farmhouse but is very comfortable. Great beds and shutters even kept our lively gang in bed until ten some mornings !!! Pool was cold on arrival but warmed up nicely. We used it a lot. We barbecued almost every night on the purpose built stone barbecue in the garden. We visited Atlantic Toboggan waterpark, the monkey valley (Le vallee des Singes ) and also the amazing Puy de Fou. All fantastic!! Caretakers were helful and non intrusive ,really nice. The owner of this property has kindly answered my five zillion questions that I have asked since I booked last summer lol! She is so helpful,you could not ask for better. Deposit returned promptly and in full.

Nous recommandons vivement cette maison. Nous avons passé une semaine très sympathique. La maison est conforme à la description, les extérieurs sont vraiment très agréables. Les propriétaires sont charmants et très réactifs.

This was a perfect spot for a family holiday

Spacious, peaceful and with superb views over the countryside this was the perfect spot for a familiy holiday. Garden spacious enough for a kick about, great climbing frame for the kids and a fantastic pool for all to enjoy. All the facilities you could possibly need and an easy to use charcoal BBQ which was perfect for evening entertainment. Within an hour you can drive to a range of medieval towns, Gallo Roman ruins and neothlic cultural sites which were good mornings out and still be back in time for an afternoon poolside which, with temperatures in the high 30s, was a must. Would certainly be back again.

Great quiet country house

There was a gang of us stayed in this house. It was very accurate to the photos, Helen was brilliant at giving tips and information before, during and after arrival. The house has everything you need it really is a home from home - with a pool - we all really made good use of the pool and all the pool toys that were at the house and we were very lucky to get great weather when we were there. We made great use of the barbeque and the kitchen has all you need, every utensil as you would have in your own house and a huge amount of glasses, crockery and cutlery. The village is a 2km walk away and has the bakery for fresh bread and croissants, we tried to eat in the restaurant in the village but it was closed on the nights we went or they were getting work done the night it looked open. There is a great Carrefour in Bressuire which is a very easy 10min drive away and we also got a takeaway from Dominos in Bressuire and a nice Lebanese restaurant that is near the bus/train station in Bressuire. The house is in a very rural setting, it is lovely and quiet with lots of birdsong. We did day trips to Puy du Fou which is only about 45 minutes away and really is a brilliant day out, we also went to Futuroscope which is a little over an hour away and is also a good day out. The house, pool and garden were spotless on arrival, it was great to have the TV with Sky - even though we didn't us it much but the kids were glad to have it - beds were very comfortable, I would have no hesitation recommending this house to a family group.

Amazing family holiday

We had a wonderful stay at L'espoir. So much to do. The children loved playing on the climbing frame, swings and slide, the pool was always a hit as was the boules court. The gite itself was fully equipped with washing machine and added bonus of a dishwasher. Lounge is very comfortable with plenty of seating and a large video/DVD library. The bedrooms are really spacious and have plenty of storage space. There's also so much to do in the local area, the zoo at la fountain is a must! Boisme is a lovely wee village with a great bakery and bar/restaurant. Will definately be back.

Excellent property!

In summary, big property, well equipped and friendly and helpful owners. First time we stayed at L'Espoir. Took it for a month and never regretted it. 4 year grandaughter appreciated the play equipment and decent sized lawn. She also appreciated Sky tv (and so did we, we watched the international cricket). 4 good sized bedrooms, comfortable beds. Good seating area both inside and out. Very quiet, virtually no traffic noise. Owners provided tons of information on where to go, what to see and where to eat. well equipped throughtout. Local agents (English) very helpful

3 Generation Family Holiday 2013

Family gave me two main criteria for this holiday. Must have a pool and be near to a bar. I'm happy to say that L'Espoir came up trumps. Holiday required a property suitable for 6 adults and 2 children in 4 bedrooms. The house was very homely and comfortable and was spotless on arrival with a very good welcome pack. The kitchen is of a good size, well equipped and easily workable with sufficient workspace to allow 2 family groups to operate individually. Extending kitchen table and small breakfast bar (used for laptop). Washing machine in its own cupboard so no noise intrusion. 1 large fridge/freezer and 1 large fridge. Range style cooker with 5 burners. Dining room accessed from the kitchen. Sliding doors opened to a large and comfortable lounge with TV/DVD player in corner. The TV services were as described (Sky and Free wifi). Good selection of books, DVDs and games supplied. 4 big bedrooms, 2 on ground floor and 2 upstairs. Adequate space for clothing in all rooms. Beds very comfy. Shutters on all bedrooms kept early daylight out. 1 family bathroom upstairs. Very well appointed with a further shower room and toilet downstairs to support the other 2 bedrooms. Outside from the kitchen was a large patio, a family sized table all covered with a gazebo which kept UV at bay then..... The Pool. FAB. We all spent many happy hours here as the weather was superb with much sunshine. The pool is fully protected by a fence so no issues with youngsters. An outside hot shower was welcome. A Boule court provided us with afternoons of French style sport and one set of boules was supplied. The garden is mostly grass for ball games, a Playhouse/activity frame which was very much enjoyed by young grandchildren, and a couple of loungers for the less active. Local amenties . Boisme is 5 mins car or 25 mins walk away. Small local shop for fresh bread and a few essentials. Super little bar who welcomed kids and we enjoyed 2 evening meals. Mostly pizzas but very good. La Chapelle 5 Kms from Boisme and had small supermarket open Sunday am and a Cave for draught wine! Bressuire ok as large town for fuel/supermarket and TI. Pathenay good for visit to medieval town. Puy du Fou for FABULOUS family day out. Seems pricey but actually really worth it. Get tickets from TI as cheaper. The owners of this property could not have been more obliging and all queries were promptly answered with much detailed information. Now planning a return visit.
