Courtyard Cottage à Wrafton, Braunton, North Devon Angleterre

Courtyard Cottage. Cette jolie maison de vacances est située dans le village de Wrafton nr Braunton à proximité des superbes plages de Saunton, Croyde, Putsborough et Woolacombe. Le parcours de golf de Saunton (de renommée mondiale) est à seulement 3 km. Le chalet dispose d'une chambre avec un canapé-lit en cuir (pouvant accueillir 2 enfants) dans le salon spacieux. Récemment décoré partout et très bien équipé. Il se compose d'un grand salon / salle à manger confortable, d'une salle de bain équipée et d'une cuisine bien équipée. Les portes-fenêtres s'ouvrent sur une jolie cour avec table et chaises de bistrot avec un petit étang à poissons au centre. Le pub / restaurant au toit de chaume bien connu, The Williams Arms, est situé à quelques pas de l'établissement.

Really can't praise this cottage enough. Great communication before arrival and suggestions of where to eat (definitely go to the Williams Arms for Sunday lunch). Cottage and courtyard are absolutely stunning, inside it was homely. Kitchen really well stocked and clean (even has decent sized mugs.... usually I have to buy a 'holiday' mug as the cottage I stay in never has a decent sized one.....not this year, perfect sized) The only little suggestion I would make (and this could be just us, and it wasn't a problem, more of personal preference) would be an air fryer.....apart from that, had everything including things that normally you end up having to buy like oven gloves, salt and pepper, mustard, ketchup, toilet rolls, little jams/honey/marmalade. Amazing. Great pressure shower, clean bathroom and bedroom was absolutely beautiful, spacious with lots of places to store clothes, and the bed and pillows, again, fantastic. I bring my own pillows because usually the ones at holiday homes are a bit 'flat' but the ones here were amazing with loads of extras so I didn't need my own. Location....again, fabulous....close to Braunton (you must eat at Squires too), Saunton and Woolacombe for the beaches, and Barnstaple, the Tarka Trail is really close and you can walk to a local cafe and Tesco's is you want to as well. We visited Appledore/Instow for the first time.....well worth a visit, not too far away and the home of the world's best ice cream (Hockings). Will definitely be back.

The cottage was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. The location is ideal for exploring the local area, which we know very well as my wife's family all come from North Devon. The communication was excellent and the check in process easy. This could really be surprised a a hidden gem. It's location is perfect with a great pub close by, the South West Coast path and Tarka Trail at the end of the road plus local buss stops. The house it's really spacious and well stocked for a self catered break. Thanks you to Sue who's conms. are spot on.

Great little cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage which had a well stocked kitchen for cooking the odd meal during our stay . Great pub within walking distance and shops close by for necessities. Thank you Susan for making it a home from home for us.

Comfortable and Well-Equipped

Had a great 3-night stay in this lovely little cottage, which was exactly as described. Comfortable, clean and well-equipped, with all you need to cater for yourselves, and to entertain yourselves if the weather is not so good. Do remember to bring your own bedding, towels and soap etc.

Lovely cottage

Very clean well equipped cottage. Internet connection is fine and smart TV that even I could work out. Enjoyed a game of dominoes in the evening after a pint in the very pretty pub over the road. It is possible to walk to saunton sands though a bit of a trek! A good location to access the area and a parking spot. I'd happily book again.

Cosy cottage

Good location easy to get to ,parking space allocated off road on property .Cottage has everything that listings say and more .pub 2mins walk with good carvery little working mens club in village open saturdays and monday nights.Bus service to most local towns on main road (2 mins).cottage has tv with alot of channels ,2 radiators and electric lookalike logburner in living room so its always cosy .There are table and chairs outside of patio doors to have a glass of wine or chilled beer in the evening.We wished we had booked longer and definetly wish to return.Clive&Denise

Superb value, a beautiful little property in a great location, a short drive to some of the best beaches in the area. Easy check-in, Sue the host was excellent, all super easy. The property was perfect and as described, super clean and more than enough space. We’ll definitely book again when we come back for a surfing trip in North Devon.

Cosy cottage

The cottage had everything we needed for a very relaxing week's stay - parking, good location for access to a variety of great beaches - a real home from home, with comfy throws on the settees, good sized rooms and lots of little extras: drying rack for clothes, well stocked kitchen with (full) spice rack, and a whole variety of cooking equipment/ dishes/ trays to make the odd meal.

Cottage comfort

Everything was excellent, from the care taken by the owner in communicating to the equipment of the cottage. The latter was of very high quality - extraordinarily so in my experience. I would certainly visit again and do recommend it to others as also convenient to coastal walks (eg at Westward Ho! and Baggy Point) and excellent links courses (eg at Saunton).

On arrival the cottage was clean and well aired, we found the property to be well equipped with everything that we needed, comfortable sofas and bed, great location for walks with a pub and several shops close by, would not hesitate to stay here again Perfect !
