Confortable, très calme, retraite de détente, joli cadre, idyllique. (animaux domestiques)

La grange de la ferme de Hammas est une maison indépendante avec une chambre double, une salle de bains avec douche / WC à l'étage et une cuisine / salle à manger entièrement équipée et un salon au rez-de-chaussée (elle possède son propre système de chauffage central) . La grange possède son propre patio et un jardin clos à côté, avec deux sièges et deux autres coins salons proches.
Situé dans 10 hectares de belle campagne pour vous permettre de marcher, niché dans une longue allée goudronnée bordée d'arbres. Un joli ruisseau coule à proximité. C'est un cadre très calme et paisible idéal pour se détendre et se relaxer que ce soit en été ou en hiver. La grange a son propre parking, barbecue et corde à linge extérieure.
Il y a une feuille de bienvenue et des instructions pour tous les appareils à portée de main pour vous. Nous vivons dans la ferme située à proximité si vous avez des problèmes et où vous récupérez vos clés à votre arrivée.
Les invités précédents ont commandé et ont livré leurs courses à la grange, donc si vous manquez d'espace dans votre véhicule, cela vous simplifie la vie. Si vous recherchez des supermarchés, nous avons un magasin Lidl à Torrington ainsi qu’une gamme de magasins généraux, de boutiques de souvenirs et du marché du Panier. Vous trouverez un Morrison, Tesco, Asda, Aldi à Bideford (à 12 miles de nous).
Désolé, nous n’avons pas de réception mobile ici, mais vous disposez du Wi-Fi gratuit.
La grange est idéale pour l'observation des étoiles par temps clair, pour observer les chauves-souris d'avril à octobre (veuillez demander) Près du sentier Tarka pour les randonneurs, les cyclistes et les promeneurs de chiens.
Beaucoup de pubs amis des chiens autour et de belles plages le long de la côte nord (à 30 minutes de voiture.)

It was everything it advertised, set in a quite secluded spot but only a short drive from Bideford. It was a really lovely spot the hosts were very welcoming and friendly people. I would definitely stay again.

The host Amanda and David were very welcoming, after that unless you needed them they give you your privacy. The tiny barn was well appointed with a few stock items in the cupboard, that was useful. It was very clean and welcoming. We had a lovely short stay.😊

Home from home

Lovely, lovely peaceful property, run by welcoming owners Amanda & David. The comfy, warm barn is well maintained and equiped to a high standard. Hammas Barn is in easy reach of attractions in this part of North Devon with some fantastic costal walks. We will definitely recommended this poperty.

Fantastic hosts, a wow garden and I have garden envy!

Beautiful little barn which was fully equipped. Comfortable and cosy set in stunning gardens. Loads of places to walk our two border collies and Amanda and David were so welcoming. Quiet and tranquil. Hope to visit again. Thank you!

Amazing location. Exactly as described in the description . Recommend if you are looking for a quiet and tranquil location. The hosts were the most accommodating and friendly people we have met. The property was very comfortable, very clean well maintained. We will be back soon.

Had a great holiday at Hammas Farm. If you are looking for a little haven of peace and tranquillity, look no further! A stunning location, reached by winding your way through woods and a tiny bridge across a brook. The barn is immaculately clean and beautifully furnished with everything you could want for a week or two of relaxation and the grounds of this stunning little farm are available to explore with the furry friends. Basic items in the cupboards including fresh milk in the fridge. Amanda and Dave couldn’t have been more helpful, whilst maintaining your privacy of this little bolthole in beautiful Devon. I cannot recommend highly enough.

A perfect location for a country retreat in N. Devon

It is a very beautiful, tranquil location full of late-August blooms and wildlife, including beautiful flowing streams of pure water and where not even the sound of any vehicle can be heard. The property is very clean, well-maintained and well-equipped internally for self-catering and with a wide-screen TV. The owners live next-door and are a very friendly, welcoming and helpful couple. Its an ideal place for a retreat from the stresses and pressures of everyday life and within easy reach by car of many N. Devon beauty spots. We highly recommend it and hope to return there from time to time for further breaks in our busy schedules

What an idyllic setting

We were lucky enough to have stayed here from the date that self catering holidays were allowed again. Such a beautiful and peaceful setting away from it all. Very comfortable and clean inside. From here it’s 3 miles to Great Torrington and a further 7 miles to Bideford and Lidl is the nearest supermarket. Amanda and David were wonderful and very welcoming to us. It was just the perfect location for us to relax and away from it all. Stunning views of the hills with the sheep grazing. There’s a short walk that you can do from the barn onto the hills and woodland,. The weather was good to us too. The Tarka trail is literally a 2 minute drive down the road where there’s a small car park and it’s free of charge. We’ll most definitely be wanting to stay at this beautiful barn again. ,,Hello, just a small introduction, we are David and Amanda and we were married in 2008, we have 5 children and 6 grandchildren between us. When the last of them left home (in Hertfordshire) we decided to move to North Devon and start a new life, this is where we found our dream home: We did escape to the countryside! We live in the main house so we are nearby if you need anything (but out of the way if you don't :-)

Hammas Farm is set in 10 acres of beautiful countryside. The main house was built around the 18th century although called a farm there are no animals at present (only 3 young cats). Hammas Farm and Barn are tucked away down a tree-lined winding tarmac drive, this is the ideal relaxing place you want to be. Your secluded get away is right here. Surrounded by nature, peace and quiet whether you are a dog walker, hiker, a sightseer or just want some tranquillity.
Hammas Barn is a detached 1 bedroom self contained dwelling with a little stream running close by, your patio and garden area are next to it. Set in a very quiet rural setting (no near neighbours.) Although situated in the depths of the countryside we have easy access to local towns, facilities and the beautiful coast.

The Barn is an amazing place to be (with only one holiday-let, there are no other holiday makers, or complex etc here) with wildlife very close, deer, birds and bats, no noise, air or light pollution, to be able to gaze up at a black sky with millions of stars or see a deer sunning itself in the afternoon sun is quite special. Although tucked away in the countryside we have our local pub just a mile away. Great Torrington is only 3 miles away, an old market town with shops, takeaways, cafes, restaurants and pubs. The Plough Art Centre with Theatre, Cinema, Music, Exhibitions, Café and Bar. A Museum. Dartington Crystal, RHS Rosemoor and much more. The Tarka Trail for walks or cycling is just under a mile away. Easy access to Dartmoor, Exmoor, and the North Devon coastline, Westward Ho, Clovelly and Bude to name just a few. Plenty of local history and walks.
