Charmante maison de caractère avec joli jardin à deux pas de Southwo

Le chalet de Bridget est un chalet victorien confortable et accueillant les animaux de compagnie situé à un jet de pierre des marais et du chemin pittoresque le long de Buss Creek qui mène à la plage Nord et à la jetée.

En été, le chalet est inondé de lumière et vous pouvez manger à l'extérieur dans le jardin ensoleillé de la première heure du matin jusqu'à la disparition du soleil. En hiver, vous pouvez vous pelotonner devant le confortable poêle à bois.

En face de ce charmant cottage, il y a un magasin du village proposant une large gamme de produits frais, notamment du pain artisanal et des viandes d'un boucher local. Les amateurs de bonne nourriture et de bières locales trouveront une gamme de pubs et de restaurants à distance de marche. Situé sur la côte du patrimoine du Suffolk, avec des possibilités infinies de marche, de vélo, d'observation des oiseaux et de peinture, abrite la réserve phare des RSPB, Minsmere. The hosts were very helpful on learning I had recently had a hip replacement- thinking what I might find difficult and describing it in detail for me. But it was all fine. We couldn’t get to the beach on foot in 10 minutes, but it didn’t take much longer ! Having the garden to sit in was a big plus. As was the excellent store across the street. We ate in a lot and I don’t think people usually do this - some kitchen equipment wasn’t clean and didn’t look as though it had been used in a while. And the knives need sharpening

Some routes to the beach can be a little longer than the path across the marshes but we are pleased you still found that it didn't take long to get there. We are sorry to hear that some kitchen equipment was not clean and will pass this on to our cleaner. She does deeper cleans regularly to try to avoid the things you experienced and we will pass on your comments. Occasionally we have had guests put things away that are not clean but will try to be more vigilant about checking. Very helpful to know about the knives and we will address that.

A great property for a family of four, especially if you have older teenagers as there are separate bedrooms for the kids and a cosy front room with TV. The grocery shop across the road is really great with friendly staff.

The house was quaint and comfortable. Plenty of utilities in the kitchen. Beds were comfortable. Lounge cosy. Comms with the hosts were timely and accurate.Cleanliness was ok but kitchen and bathroom could do with a bit more TLC! Good walk to Southwold - about 15/20 mins to the beach. Corner shop is handy. Good choice of local produce. Parking on the street was difficult due to lots of other cars and configurations of the parking. Parking outside the property was limited. And had to park further down the road several times. The only major downside was the way the neighbours dumped their bins outside the property. As it’s a narrow street and cars block access for large vehicles, rubbish collection is confined to the top of the street (certainly for properties at the top of the street and some houses that back onto the side alley that the house uses for access) and as this is the first house a lot bins get deposited outside the entrance. Got to point we had to move bins to get into the house! Not great in the heat and some bins were not moved all week. Not the owners fault but does take the shine of the property. Not sure what they can do about but it is a negative point sadly.

We aim to have a high standard of cleaning and generally get positive comments but we will pass on your observations to the cleaner. You seem to have been unfortunate with the parking as generally guests have not had issues. We hope it did not inconvenience you too much. Regarding the bins, we will communicate with neighbours to ensure that they are not all deposited in front of our property. We will ask our handyman who lives in the road, to monitor this and move bins if necessary. The fact that some were there all week is unusual and we will seek to ensure this does not happen again. Apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Some friends invited us to stay with them in their cottage in Reydon back in 2005. We fell in love with the area and visited as often as possible. We dreamt of having our own place here. When my mum sadly died two years ago we were able to use her legacy to realise our dream. The cottage is named after her. We've enjoyed renovating it, adding our stamp and making it as cosy and homely as possible. It gives us the perfect chance to do what we love best: walking, cycling, sitting by log fires in lovely pubs or settling in for the evening in front of our woodburner with friends and family. We hope you enjoy coming here as much as we do.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

We love the fact that we can pop to the shop when we need things without having to plan in advance or can send our son when we're cooking and find we're short of something vital. We love eating al-fresco in our secluded and sunny garden. Even though you can't see the sea you know it's not far when you spot the top of the lighthouse from the front bedroom.
