La cuisine moderne entièrement équipée a tout le confort innovateur dont vous auriez besoin en vacances, y compris une machine à laver, lave-vaisselle et appareils en acier inoxydable avec une cuisinière à double combustible qui a été installé dans un parquet en bois de Karndean, décoré meubles et tapis Laura Ashley.

Amazing week

The property was outstanding, very quiet in a lovely location, less than five minutes drive to the beach, the hospitality was excellent, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. My partner, our pooch and myself will definitely be booking again.
This was a lovely spot on the way to the beach.

This is a beautiful property which is spotless and well equipped with everything you need for a lovely stay. It is situated 10 to 15mins from the town and the beach.. I would like to thank the owners for letting us stay in their beatiful property.

Our lovely stay at No6

We had a lovely stay at No6 it is a lovely property which is well equipped. Its the second time we have stayed it is a 10min walk into filey and great for all the other east coast areas to visit. Thank you again Robert and Helen.

Immaculate Holiday Rental

The cleanliness of this property is second to none. It is really well equipped and has everything you need for your stay. The beds are comfortable and we both slept like logs. The welcome pack is a lovely touch. Location is excellent for exploring North Yorkshire. Many thanks to Robert and Helen for an enjoyable stay.

Quiet location

We had a lovely break in No 6. The location was perfect for us, just outside Filey and only a short walk to shops, bars and restaurants. The house is really nice, very clean, great kitchen with everything you need. We thought that the welcome gifts of wine and snacks were very thoughtful, thank you. This is the perfect place to stay and explore the surrounding areas, there's so many places to visit and so many wonderful views.

A Welcomed Break

The location was perfect for us, 15mins walk to either Park ,beach or town. Excellent sized property for our family of 5 adults and a baby. It was spotlessly clean and had everything you would need for your stay.The kitchen was well equipped for you to cook if you chose to. We love Filey and would definitely stay here again. Many thanks to our hosts Robert and Helen who made us feel very welcome.

A lovely little gem!

We have just returned from this bungalow after spending a week there. Nothing was too much trouble for Robert the host he was very friendly and had good local knowledge. Thanks for the freshly caught fish Robert it was amazing! The interior has little touches of luxury and was very clean and set out beautifully when we arrived. Great place to stay and would definatley recommend. We were very lucky and had hot weather all week nearly so it made the stay even better. Would love to go back!

Well worth staying

We are a family of four, a 5 and 9-year old, and we had a lovely time at No 6. The house had everything we needed and was absolutely spotless. The area is very quiet and only a 15-minute work from the centre of Filey. The boys really enjoyed playing in the backyard, it was good for football and badminton. They also really enjoyed having a TV in their bedrooms! The back is a sun trap and lovely to sit in. The landlord Robert was very helpful. One day we asked if we could borrow a child’s net we saw in the shed area - when we came home Robert had gotten all the children’s toys, spades and a body board out for our boys to borrow. There is a Tesco 5 minutes drive away and local takeaways if you do not want to cook. The pictures of the house do not do it justice. I would highly recommend this house to anyone after a lovely, clean and well-stocked holiday home. Great for families. We hope to return to further explore North Yorkshire. (Frothies Coffee in the town center do a cracking coffee)

Comfortable house, nicely located.

This is a very well equipped and comfortable property, it is nicely located a short walk from Filey Town centre and the beach, we had a lovely week there exploring Filey and its surroundings.

Looking for a quiet lovely location, then this is the place for you

This property was the very best for our personal needs. Just the kind of place to relax and have a few days together and wind down. We would both love to stay there again in the future. Excellent in every way,well furnished, comfortable beds, and a super location. Exceeded expectations

No 6 was a very clean , warm and accurately described property. Easy check in process and well provided with cooking utensils and crockery. We enjoyed our stay there and would be happy to have a return visit.

Filey holiday

We were first time renters so didn’t know what to expect. Overall the bungalow was well equipped and homely however we would have liked a washing line.

Don't stay here!

This review is a last resort as neither the owners or the Company of VRBO care about their clients. It seems once you have paid up in full, you are at the mercy of the individual owners. We clearly have been lucky with our accommodation around the world without complaint until this one. Furnished in jumble sale style with old, mismatched very very tired, literally worn our stuff. Sofa threadbare in places. Tables without varnish.( Not shabby chic style either). Bedding clean but screwed up like it had been in the dryer for a week. No hand soap in either bathroom and owner said that it was due to "Covid"? Actually Covid is all the more reason TO provide hand soap. The whole place made my heart sink. In this day and age where you can get decent furniture and electrical stuff for free, from people wanting to recycle them, there is no excuse for the owners not to try and make it better. Certainly for the prices they are asking. The owner who lives next door tried to tell us that the fridge freezer "was a bit quirky" and the door "sticks" and that he had had to tell people ( previous guests) that they need to shut the door on the freezer properly. NO! it is not "quirky" it is broken and clearly has been for a long time. We had a Supermarket delivery an hour after we arrived. The frozen food was put in the freezer and other things in the fridge. The temps plummeted and the food was defrosting. The owner offered to put our food in his freezer . That is unacceptable for the price we paid - we expected a working fridge freezer. We do not want to have to ask the owners to dispense our food as and when we want it. A new fridge freezer in 2021 can be as little as £200.00 This house is rented out to minimise the cost to the owner and no thought to the experience of the customer. As a Nurse I was worried about their seeming to think it acceptable to not provide even a £1 bottle of hand wash for each bathroom and worst of all a broken fridge that defrosts then ( maybe) refreezes food that could very, very easily cause food poisoning. Food poisoning that could lead to a restaurant ( In Filey) being blamed when the culprit would have been thawed and re- frozen foods. Salmonella, Campylobacter, E.coli - these are potentially serious. All for the want of a new fridge freezer circa £200 investment. Added together after just three hours we decided that it would be safer to be at home. So we packed up and left. I could not recommend this property.

Spacious accommodation

Good size property with approx 15 minute walk to the beach. Close to Filey's nature reserve and plenty of playgrounds for the children. Back yard very sunny spot with good good seating area - We are all hooked on playing badminton now!!

Relaxing Getaway

Due to the pandemic our holiday abroad was cancelled. We still wanted to have a getaway from it all self catering holiday so looked for a quiet location in Yorkshire near the sea and we found it at No.6. As soon as we walked in we could see that it was immaculately clean and smelt lovely and a little welcome gift had been left for us which was a lovely touch and much appreciated. All the dishes had been put in the dishwasher so only we were touching them once they’d been removed which in the current climate was reassuring. The kitchen was very well equipped with all you need for cooking, if you chose to. The comfortable cottage had a cosy feel yet plenty of space for the two of us. The location was good, we were able to walk to the sea within 15 minutes. We were lucky with the weather in September which made our stay more pleasurable but the evenings were chilly but we felt warm and toasty. Robert made us feel welcome and it was good to know that they were nearby if we had needed them. We fell in love with Filey and would highly recommend No.6 for a quiet getaway. We would stay here again.
