Amazing holiday

Absolutely amazing property and pool Great location in a small hamlet 15 mins to Historic Town with all amenities and plenty of places to eat / drink Amazing market on wed / Sat Beach is only an hours drive Loads château in the area And plenty to do A wonder area and brilliant holiday

Lozay stay

Stewart and Alison Boak were excellent hosts and the gite had everything we needed, the pool area was perfect. Location was peaceful but within easy reach of villages, towns and the coast

Lovingly looked after, Stewart and Allison are so friendly and helpful, suggesting places to visit and making your stay a happy one.They clearly enjoy having guests at their beautiful property, and it shows. The welcome hamper is another thoughful gesture.

We had a lovely stay Stewart & Alison.The gite was very well equipped with everything we needed and it was immaculate.The welcome package was fantastic, with a tired toddler it meant we actually didn’t need to go shopping at all on our first day, so it was much appreciated.The pool was fantastic, very well maintained, we loved the ledge around the side of the pool. The info pack on places to visit was also really great, we visited a number of places on our week away. Stewart & Alison were very helpful but not intrusive and left us to enjoy our holiday. Many thanks for having us.

Perfect getaway

We had a lovely time at this well equipped gîte. The owners are extremely welcoming and friendly. Everything you could need has been provided along with a surprise welcome basket. The heating alarmed pool is great for kids. We couldn't fault anything with the cottage at all and would love to return.

Maison avec beaucoup de charme et tous les équipements nécessaires avec de charmants propriétaires très discrets. Piscine au top intégrée parfaitement dans son environnement et à l'abri des regards. Malgré la proximité de l'A10 à 550m...le silence est roi...grâce à l'encaissement du village dans le vallon !!! Lieu parfait pour se reposer!!!

Formidable !!

Un gîte aménagé avec goût, très propre, dans une très joli maison, au calme, dans un écrin de verdure. Des propriétaires charmants et généreux (quel panier d accueil !!! ), qui s effacent lorsque vous allez dans la piscine, qui vous proposent leurs légumes du jardin : bref on entre dans le gîte et on sent tout de suite qu on y sera très bien !!!

Superbe gîte pour beau séjour

Des propriétaires charmants, serviables et très discrets. Un gîte magnifique, très bien entretenu et très bien équipé. Une piscine belle, propre et chauffée entourée d'un beau terrain très bien entretenu. Environnement très calme avec seul le bruit des oiseaux et des abeilles pour vous déranger. Idéalement situé dans les terres pour visiter de nombreux spots touristiques (Rochefort, la Rochelle, île de Ré, île d'oleron...)

L'accueil d'Alison et Stewart est parfait, ils font tout pour que vous vous sentiez bien. Séjour au calme dans un cadre bucolique. Le logement est parfaitement équipé et la piscine est vraiment très agréable (quand la météo s'y prête bien sûr).

Had a lovely stay at La Miellerie. Stewart and Alison were wonderful hosts, made us feel very welcome and were attentive when needed. The house had everything we needed and the pool was fantastic for all the family. Location was very peaceful but within easy driving distance of plenty of attractions. Thanks for a fabulous week.

Om nog eens te gaan

Zeer aangename ontvangst - mooie ingerichte gite waar alles aanwezig is - mooi welkomstpakket (wijntje - verse groenten, eitjes en brood) om de eerste avond geen boodschappen te hoeven doen. Mooie zwembad in een zeer rustige omgeving.

Zeer aangename vakantie in volle rust

Zowel het verblijf zelf als de ontvangst was voortreffelijk. Voor wie een rustige vakantie wil beleven is deze locatie perfect. Het zwembad zorgt voor verkoeling. Op een uurtje rijden van de kust zijn er leuke uitstappen te maken. We waren erg tevreden.

Charmantes Landhaus mit Pool

Wir haben 2 sehr entspannte Wochen in dem sehr schönen Ferienhaus in Lozay verbracht. Die Vermieter Alison und Stewart wohnen im Nachbarhaus und sind sehr herzliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Das Haus mit schönem Garten liegt idyllisch und ruhig am Ortsrand. Es ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und vollständig ausgestattet. Der große Garten bietet Spielmöglichkeiten für Kinder und mehrere schöne Sitzplätze für alle Tageszeiten und Wetterlagen. Der beheizte Pool bietet auch bei weniger gutem Wetter viel Badespaß und konnte von uns zu jeder Zeit alleine genutzt werden. Wenn man dann trotzdem mal Abwechslung sucht, bietet die Region viele interessante Ausflugsziele und man es gibt vier Fahrräder, die man nutzen kann. Wir kommen sicherlich gerne wieder!

Het was heerlijk

Het huis was heel ruim en schoon. Alles wat we nodig hadden was aanwezig. Het huis heeft in de tuin een grote overkapping met loungeset en een apart eetgedeelte naast het huis. De eigenaren wonen in het naastgelegen huis en zijn heel vriendelijk en altijd beschikbaar om vragen o.i.d. te beantwoorden. Daarbij is er een prachtig verwarmd zwembad waar we veel gebruik van hebben gemaakt! Wij hebben ontzettend genoten van deze plek en de omgeving!

Lavender and Lounging

We have had a wonderful holiday amongst the lavender and sunflower fields of Lozay. The Gite was perfect for our family and we spent a week relaxing, sunbathing and swimming in the very private pool and gardens. Our hosts were perfect and very helpful with local information which was especially useful as we have young children. We would love to return and have longer to explore the area.

The best gite we have been to in France to date.

The best gite we have been to in France to date. Beautiful property professionally managed and looked after. Pool is amazing with proper filtering and heating. Stewart and Alison were so helpful and kind to our daughter during our stay even when she was talking to them for long periods of time. I sat back on a pool chair and it broke at a rotation joint. Didn’t see Stewart to tell him but to my surprise the next morning it was fixed. Great Wifi and a beautiful house with a fab shower. Not far from Saint Jean de Anglie for shopping and eating. Had a great time and thoroughly recommend this Gite. Thank you Stewart and Alison for your warmth and help. Emmet, Maria and Isabella

Tranquil spot

We had a lovely week in Stewart and Alison's gite, using it as a base for house hunting in the area. It is in a very quiet hamlet yet with easy access to "D" roads to local towns. The area was great for a morning 5 mile jog - no traffic . Pool and gite clean and well fitted. Local "fish" restaurant very French and very friendly.

Spent 14 peaceful days at the Gite. We were made very welcome by the hosts, who were most helpful getting us maps etc of areas we wanted to see. The swimming pool was excellent as was the location. Within an hour of La Rochelle, Cognac and Il de Re.
