The property was a great size, with big rooms and a good sized pool.The location is excellent, with a spar shop a 2 minute walk away, and the town centre 10 mins away, down a steep hill.Our transfer driver took us to the wrong villa after following the Google map coordinates provided, so we had to ask the local property manager for the What3Words location, so this might be helpful for future guests, as we were told there are 4 villas in the local area with the same name.We will book again for another stay, very happy with everything overall.

Thank you for your lovely review. It’s always great to hear that our guests have enjoyed their holiday in our Portugal home. Regarding your comments on finding the villa, I should point out for the benefit of future guests that we send all guests the exact address and detailed directions in advance. Our four page document includes the precise route to the villa with photos of which way to go at every junction along the way and specific photos of the turning into Villa itself. Previous guests have found these instructions very helpful.

We've just returned from a 10 night stay at Casa das Amendoeiros. The Villa is very spacious and well laid out. There were 8 of us including 2 children and we all had our own space and privacy. The kitchen is a great size and very well stocked, we ate in quite a few times. The gardens are beautiful and well kept. The 10 metre swimming pool was a firm favourite with our grandkids. The Villa is also in a lovely residential area just a few minutes walk from some very decent restaurants. We enjoyed it so much we are returning next year. Thanks Ben and Kathryn for a wonderful stay.

Just back from a fabulous holiday here. 6 of us were there including a 10 month old baby and the whole trip was great. We had the pool heated and it was definitely worth it. There are many restaurants close by and it is not far to walk into Carvieiro.Would definitely recommend and we used Bolt many times which worked well and is very reasonably priced.

Villa is in a great location. Had difficulty finding Villa on both occasions (party arrived at different times. Pool was amazing, very clean and highlight of our stay. Kitchen fully equipped, a/c fantastic, good WiFi, bathrooms recently updated and plenty of space for all. Didn’t have contact with anyone whilst at property as had no problems. The only thing I was disappointed with was the outside seating/furniture. Plastic chairs that were very old and brittle. Only 7 sunloungers and some on the sunlounger mats were ripped. 4 balconies leading off bedrooms but with no where to site and pool umbrellas could do with replacing. It didn’t have a big impact on our holiday but for the price paid a little disappointing. Good communication with owner before travelling. Shops and restaurants very close by. Would only take 10 minutes to walk into town and beach which had everything you would need.

We had a pleasant and comfortable stay at the villa. The property was spacious and very well located, making it a great base for exploring the Algarve. It was a a short walk to the village, beach and many restaurants. A lot of time was spent in the heated swimming pool - the pool is amazing!

The furniture is very dated, some put together with tape, and smelt musky, to the point we had to take a carpet out of the house as it smelled up the entire house. The beds were uncomfortable and need to be replaced. We found the owner and property manager to be abrupt and dismissive in communication and would blame others instead of taking ownership. The house is in a great location and there is ample space for a larger family. The pool is beautiful.

I am glad to you see from your comments that you have fully enjoyed the primary benefits of our home in Portugal - being a spacious villa with an excellent 10m pool within walking distance to the beach. The interior decor is to our personal choice and in keeping with the local, rustic charm. The beds were all purchased relatively recently from IKEA, so am very surprised to read that you found these uncomfortable. None of our other guests have ever mentioned this. As our property is very popular and we have frequent change-overs, minor damage caused by out-going guests cannot always be replaced or repaired permanently straightaway. Temporary fixes may be needed as was the case with the small tear on the kitchen bar stool seat. Both Owner and Local Agent are keen emphasise to future guests that we pride ourselves on providing prompt communication and resolution of any concerns. However, this guest did not have a mobile phone and so all queries were sent by email to the Owner in the UK only… i did not always become aware of these, especially at weekends when I am not always monitoring my emails. I then had to WhatsApp guest questions to the local agent who then had to walk in person to the property to discuss the concern. This was a very inefficient process and delays occurred. All previous guests have had mobile phones and WhatsApp queries directly to the Local Agent who will always reply immediately. Future guests are encouraged to address any local issues directly to the local agent. Furthermore, the weather during this guest’s stay was unusually bad due to the storm which crossed southern Europe at that time. Their holiday experience and many of the issues they raised were related to these conditions which were completely outside our control.

Fantastic villa with loads of thoughtful things included to keep everyone entertained! The villa was in a good location, close to shops and the beach and Ubers are everywhere to get further afield. The owner Ben was quick to respond to any questions and made the stay stress free. Would highly recommend.

Overall as expected and advertised, and no surprises underway. Had a late flight out the last day, and asked to stay until the afternoon which was no problem. Very happy with the service from the owner so we could have one more day in our vacation. House, kitchen, rooms, pool, location was very nice and we would like to rent again :)
