We were 3 generations celebrating a 40th Wedding Anniversary and we couldn’t have wished for a more beautiful spacious and luxurious setting . The coffee machine was a great hit . There was so much space and the pool area was just the best . We look forward to returning to repeat an epic stay . Thank you so much Mike for your wonderful welcome and hospitality.

The Devaney's were super guests, enjoying good weather and a quieter Carvoeiro. The house was well looked after and left clean and tidy, much appreciated. They are more than welcome back any time and hopefully will see them all soon.

Wow! What an amazing week we have had, our first time visiting Portugal and we were not disappointed. Mike was everything we could hope for in a host, made us feel so welcome and was on hand for any questions we had and gave us all the guidance we needed. The villa itself is beautiful and in the perfect location. It is homely and had everything we needed especially with two toddlers. We loved it so much we can’t wait to return!

Lovely villa in a great location. Villa has everything you need and plenty of seating around the pool and on the terraces. Host is extremely helpful.

Mike was brilliant.His communication before and during the holiday was timing and helpful. On the arrival day he met us to show us around nad provided food and drink essentials so that we didn't need to go shopping that evening as we arrived after 5pm.The villa was incredibly well kitted out, probably the best we have ever stayed in. Huge quantity of towels. It was perfect for chilling and so close to a lovely beach 5 mins and the town itself.Would definitely recommend and probably go again.

Fantastic accommodation

The property was very clean and spacious. The outside area was superb. Mike, the owner, lives locally and was very helpful and friendly. We were two couples looking for a relaxing break. I cannot recommend Casa Alto Mar enough. We will definitely be going back

Wonderful holidays in AltoMar

We enjoyed everything. The house is clean and has everything you need. The kids loved the pool and it‘s only a short walk away from the beach of Centeanes. Mike has been the best host we‘ve ever had. For sure we will come back!

Family Holiday 2024

We last stayed here in 2012 - loved it then and still love it now. The villa is homely, well equipped and beautifully maintained and recent modernization has only added to the appeal. Excellent location with the town easily accessible and the gorgeous Centianes beach just across the road. Mike is a great and welcoming host. Thanks for a wonderful break, your hospitality and the opportunity yo make more memories.

Alto Mar is a spacious, clean and well equipped Villa. Lovely pool. Check-in great. Mike contacted us before we left the Uk and was there to greet us on arrival. Can’t recommend Alto Mar enough. We were a family of 7 - all mixed ages and found the Spa, the beach and Cavielero all within a walking distance. We have had one of the best holidays.

An amazing villa

An amazing villa in a great location. Lovely pool, modern bathrooms, kitchen and bedrooms. Mike was a great host, lots of recommended restaurants and always available to answer any questions. Great place to stay!

You can’t beat the location. Central place in Algarve enabling you to visit easily East or West. 5 min walk to the beach and 15 min walk to Carvoeiro. We really enjoyed the exterior setting with the pool, lounge and sitting areas. I made regular use of the charcoal BBQ which enhanced our meals.The kitchen is very well equipped. Rooms are also very comfortable.Mike was always responsive and helpful to our requests.

Fantastic villa

Wow - this villa has everything and more. We’ve been going to Carvoeiro for the past 8 years & this villa is by far the best we have ever stayed in. It was absolutely perfect, great location (about 20 mins walk into Carvoeiro). It has all the amenities you need and Mike was a fantastic host, he was extremely responsive and helpful. We will definitely be back. I can not recommend this villa enough to anyone.

Fantastic family break

We had a wonderful stay! Mike was so helpful and friendly and the villa was simply amazing. There were six adults in our party and we had plenty of space to relax and enjoy this beautiful part of the world. Incredible Host

The property was well stocked and Mike provided a few welcome supplies! The pool and deck area was great! Plenty of room and Privacy. A lot of construction in area but outside the owners control. We learned to ignor this. Thank you Mike for going the extra mile for securing our friends lost bags.Wonderful Host

5* Fantastic Stay!

We have just returned from two weeks at this lovely villa. Mike was a fantastic host & helped make our stay go so well. Beds were comfy, kitchen offered everything we needed, outside area (a big part of our time away) was exactly as we needed, the shaded area was a god send in the August heat! Town is a 20 minute walk but absolutely worth it, its a lovely, busy, vibing little place! The beach is a 5 minute walk, great for an evening stroll and food looking out onto the sea. Spa and mini supermarket about a 10/15 minute walk. Id 100% recommend Casa Alto, you wont be disappointed. Thanks Mike, if we holiday in Portugal again, we will be in touch 😀 x

Fantastic

What a fantastic villa, we absolutely loved it. Five minutes from a beautiful beach, and just up the hill from a lovely pizzeria (where you can get Gluten Free pizza, great for Coeliacs). The villa itself was perfect – we especially loved the shaded area beyond the pool, the pool itself, and the patio right outside the house. The bedrooms were perfect, and two of the bathrooms have been done up. The kitchen had everything we needed and the living room was a welcome escape when the sun got too hot. Mike was so welcoming, so quick to help any time we asked for information, and the entire stay was a joy.

Mike is the most fantastic host and the villa is superb. We had a wonderful stay and Mike could not have been more helpful. The outside space is the real jewel in the crown here. Lots of seating and alternative areas for those seeking full sun or shade. Pool was fantastic too. If there is an elderly relative, taxis will probably be necessary when walking uphill in high temperatures to get into Carvoeiro or back from the beach but this villa and its host are both magnificent. Would not hesitate to recommend or return! Thank you Mike xx
