Chwarel Goch Bach, (Rouge Quarry, en anglais) à l'origine une ferme a été construite il ya plus de 100yrs et est un chalet confortable et bien équipée, et l'aile de la maison du propriétaire final. Il comprend une chambre par un escalier étroit ouverte depuis le salon confortable, spacieuse cuisine / salle à manger, grande véranda et salle de douche. Il est un cadre fantastique où l'on peut être extrêmement énergique, l'escalade, l'alpinisme, le cyclisme, est tombé en cours d'exécution ,, piscine d'eau sauvage, ou flâner tranquillement, visiter propriétés du National Trust, châteaux, et d'innombrables autres attractions. Ride the Mountain Railway Snowdon, Welsh Highland Railway ou Llanberis Lake Railway, trois des grands petits trains du pays de Galles, ou tout simplement se détendre avec un livre et se détendre entouré par quelques-unes des meilleures vues au Pays de Galles.

The cottage is located in a nice area overlooking the lake Llanberis. Unfortunately the GPS led us somewhere else so we had to call the owner, Joan. The cottage is spacious, well equipped, we found everything we needed. The owner was very kind, helpful, she waited us with mince pies for Christmas and with a nicely decorated home. We were extremely lucky with the weather so we did walks in and around. The only negative thing we have to mention is that the radiators didn’t warm up the rooms properly so we had to use a heater, also the WIFI worked only for 2 days so we used our mobile network. In general we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!☺️

Overall excellent. Comfortable and cosy. Fantastic views of Snowdon and LLanberis. Elderly and people of poor mobility might have difficulty in accessing steep stairs to bedroom. Access lane very narrow. Reversing needed if meeting oncoming traffic.

Peacefully located and comfortable, clean annexe with superb views over Llanberis and surrounding Snowdonia mountains and a welcoming and friendly owner. I especially enjoyed the local walk from the property through Padarn country park to Dolbadarn castle and back through the fascinating mining history remains; plus the walk out at Newborough sands on Anglesey and the owner's superb homemade Bara Brith on arrival!

A very peaceful location on the edge of a village. Amazing views of Snowdon, Llyn Padarn and surrounding hills. You can even see the sea from the bedroom window.Great communication from the owner who came round to welcome us on our arrival.Great location to explore North Wales from. There is so much to do you will be spoiled for choice.Hope to stay again.

Great location

Ideal location for climbing and exploring North Wales. Good communication with the owners. Joan and Dennis were very nice and helpful. Cottage was comfortable and clean. Had everything we needed for a longer stay. I would definitely go back there again.

Christmas Get away

Both property and location were ideal for our requirement. the property was warm and cosy ,well laid out ,and very welcoming. This being the first time we have been away for Christmas ,we didn`t know what to expect, but the owners made it home from home, and decorated the place with Tree, and lovely home made decorations. The location is peaceful with amazing views, only five minutes from Llanberis ,and short journeys to Caernarfon etc . The owners were very welcoming and made us feel "at home", and we will hopefully being going again in the future ,to take in the surrounding walks.

Homely and comfortable

Lovely property, very well equipped and comfortable. Fabulous views across Llanberis lake and cottage is in a beautiful peaceful location. Joan & Dennis were so welcoming and the Welsh cakes a thoughtful touch. Open staircase is very narrow so wouldn't recommend if you have any mobility issues .

Wonderful stay with gorgeous views!

Lovely cute little cottage, cosy and ideal for a couple to stay at & Joan was very friendly and accommodating! The cottage had everything it needed! The bed was very nice to sleep in and the blanket was very warm! It’s somewhere great to rest your head after a busy day of mountain climbing and great adventures! Very close to Snowdon so not a far drive to get to where you need to be! The views from the window were incredible and really gives you a sense of the true beauty of the area. There was plenty of information available at the cottage, such as leaflets/pamphlets and a folder containing information about the local area and popular trails if you’re not sure where to start. Would love to come and visit again!

just what we expected

Joan and Dennis were great very knowledgeable about area, bara brith was super. Views to die for over all the valley and walks within 5 mins of property.

The location of our house is just outstanding and we, Joan and Dennis, welcome visitors to share the amazing situation and views.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

Work brought us to the area over 50yrs ago and from our previous house on the opposite side of the valley we kept looking towards Fachwen with envy because, being south facing, was in full sun whenever it shone! Consquently, when the opportunity arose we moved across and valley and just love every minute of living here.
The cottage end is about 150yrs old and we have been successfully renting it to holiday makers for over 20yrs.
The great outdoors attracted us to Snowdonia and the location of the house is ideal for all types of outdoor activities, including walks straight from the door,and of course Snowdon, the Great Little Trains of Wales, Castles, beaches, and the Isle of Anglesey 30mins drive away. It is also a perfect retreat for getting away from it all and just chilling out.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Outside, we have off road parking, stunning views and an enclosed gravel area with decking and another seating area to catch the best of the sun, and after a day out whether touring or being energetic, it's the perfect place to sit and read or enjoy the odd glass of wine or two.
