We loved this house and location. It's very comfortable, and equipped and furnished with kids in mind, too. The owners' care and attention to detail really shows through, just like their other properties. I have never had a better VRBO experience than renting their well-managed properties for my son's wedding.

Impeccable property!! They have everything you could possibly need! Close to everything!! Highly, highly recommend. We would have no problem staying here again and bringing family or friends!! The owners are a dream to deal with! Do not hesitate booking any of their properties!!

The location is great for access to downtown and the marina. The street is quiet, and the neighbors are very kind. The host is quick to respond as well. The house could use some TLC. The landscaping, and outside in general, isn't maintained. The mattresses and bedding could use a good upgrade. Food couldn't be stored on the counters due to ants (we did not bring this to the owner's attention because we didn't want chemicals sprayed while we were there, but I'm positive he would have helped).The house is older and has its quirks, but they add to its charm as well.

Ideal Location, Incredible Host, Charming House

We loved staying at this home. The location can't be beat - quiet neighborhood, one block from downtown and grocery store, less than one mile from the lighthouse and minutes drive from several beaches. The house is charming with much original character and really nicely decorated. The host is the most responsive I have experienced in all my years staying in Charlevoix. The house has many helpful "extras" like a hand-held vacuum, air mattress, yard games and pantry items. A wonderful week in Charlevoix with the most charming home.

Great Charlevoix Location and Cute Home!

This home has it all! It is walking distance to all that Charlevoix has to offer. It’s has lots of space, well-appointed, friendly neighbors and a great deck. The host/property manager was incredibly nice, excellent clear communication. We had a great time!

Dirty outside and in

We rented this house 9 years ago and enjoyed our stay. Upon arrival this year we shocked to see how it had changed. The door mat on the sidewalk leading up to the front door was a trip and fall hazard, decaying. The deck was covered in dirt, with weeds growing up thru the cracks, and there were tons of spiderwebs on the deck railing which I spend time cleaning. This was my vacation and I should not have had to clearn. The windowsils in the kitchen were filled with dust and dirt, which I also cleaned. All of the windows were dirty, and in the master bedroom one was nailed shut. Fresh air and clean open windows shoud be an option in Northern Michigan in the summer. When I mentioned the issues to the owner his response was not acceptable... he said "oh we provide nice soap and pasta" LOL,, I did not rent this house for his opinion on what I might like for soap, or to eat. This owner is in this business for a money grab. I would suggest others to look elsewhere for a rental.

Great Host, Location, and Amenities

Joe our host was responsive from the booking process through the end of our stay. Everything in the home is welcoming. Our party of 5 was comfortable. The location was wonderful. Just a short walk to town, beach, and many great restaurants. Everyone in town was very friendly and kind. 2 1/2 baths!! Master bath and a second 1/2 bathroom downstairs as well as one upstairs allowed all of us to get ready for a wedding effortlessly. Great water pressure and well stocked home with all the items you might need.

Love Charlevoix!

This house is quite darling and perfect for up to 9 people (6 are shared beds). We just came up this past weekend with our family and set of grandparents. The house is always well stocked with extra food, nice pots/pans, shampoo/conditioner, plenty of towels, and in a prime location to downtown Charlevoix. The host was easy to work with and this is our second time renting this home. It has easy access to great Lake Michigan and Lake Charlevoix beaches. The only downside I can think of is the stairs to get upstairs are quite steep and narrow so it can be hard to get up them. My parents are in their late 60's and they stayed on the main floor for that reason. Our family had no problem with it so it wasn't a deal breaker for us. There also 2 1/2 bathrooms which is a bonus for a house of this age. Another plus is the next door neighbor is so nice, I wish he was our neighbor all the time!

Perfect location and ambience

This location cannot be beat!! Especially fun atmosphere and easy access during Venetian festival so we did not have to deal with any traffic during carnival days. So convenient to step out across the street for breakfast at the diner or any last minute groceries. Hosts are very hospitable and friendly, stocking the kitchen with wine, pasta and oatmeal; and the bathrooms had plenty of towels and toilet paper to last the entire stay. The home is clean, and fun family photos add to the cozy vibe. Neighbors were very kind and friendly to us as well. Classic Charlevoix, felt like being transported back to simpler and easier times in the best way possible. We absolutely loved our stay and just wish we could have stayed longer!

Charming Charlevoix

The home met our family's expectations. Layout of the home gave us the space we needed for a family of eight. The convenient location to downtown allowed us to walk to most places. Well stocked home in a friendly neighborhood.

Easy distance to everything!

Everything was clean and well stocked. Joe is obviously used to working with families. Our weekend was clear and warm, so we were outside a lot. Downtown is literally within walking distance, great beaches for adult rock hunters and kids wanting to play in the sand. The absolute best, even though we didn't need it, there's pancake mix, oatmeal, Mac and cheese, all onsite, just in case there's a mealtime meltdown. Genius!

Great place!

The house was very cute, clean and had everything we needed. The host was great to work with. Lots of nice touches left for guests like wine, pasta, cookies and Sanders hot fudge! Amazing location.

Apple Fest trip 2022

We had a great time. We have stayed at this location before and it definitely lived up to the experience of previous years. Very nice house sleeps our eight adults comfortably. We are able to cook dinners there. Wonderful location, close to downtown. The colors were spectacular this year.

Great stay, great location

Our stay was fantastic. Had a girls trip with 6 woman. The accommodations were comfortable , we had all the amenities that we needed, and the house was very clean and very cozy. The location was premier for walking to town for shopping, dinner, and wine. Not enough great things to say! Very nice!

Continues to be a fantastic stay!

This is our second stay of the summer at this property and it was just as delightful as the first time. Super clean and the most convenient location. Easily walkable into town, with a grocery store within walking distance, and beaches a short drive away (less than 5 minutes). The owners have been super thoughtful in providing amenities that make it feel like home and that are also super convenient -- like a pack-n-play on site. Can't say enough nice things about this rental property!

Can’t beat location!

You can’t beat this location if you’re looking for a great place to stay in Charlevoix! Cute stores and restaurants are within walking distance and fantastic beaches are also close. The house is as very clean and the assortment of pastas and some food were a treat. Already looking forward to our next stay!

Weekend cross country ski trip

We loved the property. Think renewed farmhouse. It was well decorated, welcoming and had everything you need. The kitchen was well equiped, the living accommodated the group well. All in all it was everything we wanted.
