Anchor Cottage, Anstruther - avec parking privé, 5 couchages

Anchor Cottage, est un chalet de pêcheur converti moderne - l'une des rares propriétés situées dans une jolie cour dans la zone de conservation d'Anstruther sur la belle East Neuk of Fife. Cette maison de ville est sur 3 étages, se compose d'une chambre lits jumeaux avec alcôve ouverte qui a un lit pour tout-petits (adapté de 18 mois à 4 ans environ) et d'une salle de bains avec douche dans la baignoire; un salon avec salle à manger et cuisine - le tout avec de belles vues sur la mer à travers le Firth of Forth; et la chambre principale avec salle de douche attenante et vue sur la mer. (Un fauteuil-lit confortable est disponible dans le salon pour accueillir un cinquième invité adulte si nécessaire.) Il y a un coin salon extérieur abrité et orienté au sud dans la cour et un espace de stationnement attribué juste à votre porte d'entrée. La propriété est proche de toutes les commodités d'Anstruther (y compris le port, plusieurs hôtels, cafés, magasins / bureau de poste, parc de jeux, terrain de golf et courts de tennis). Avec un accès facile à St Andrews, Crail, Elie, Dundee, Édimbourg, de nombreuses activités sont à votre porte - golf, pêche, observation des oiseaux, plages et ports magnifiques, excursions en bateau et bonne nourriture pour plaire à tous.

The accomodation was fine but for whatever reason, we were expecting the house to be closer to the seafront with a better view of it and the size of the main room was smaller than expected. We had not understood either that the shower room on the top floor was very narrow. The place was spotlessly clean though.

Delightful stay in Anstruther

My brother and I used Ann’s place as our base for a week’s golfing in St Andrew’s. The house was ideal - clean and well appointed. Close to St Andrew’s but away from the hustle and bustle. The fishing village has character and restaurants and supermarkets are all walking distance.

wonderful apartment in a prime location

Ann's apartment is wonderful for a relaxing holiday, equipped with everything you need, especially nice are 2 bathrooms and wonderful beds. The communication with Ann and Check in was great! The anchor cottage is absolutely to be recommended, everything is great!

Lovely wee house - very clean and comfortable with little welcoming touches. And the most comfortable bed! Wishing we hadn’t recently bought a new mattress, otherwise that one would have been perfect! Great location for easy walks and short trips to St Andrews. Definitely recommend!

Cosy Cottage with great links to St Andrews and beyond

Lovely stay in the cottage. Comfortable for 4 adults with everything needed for a cracking weekend. Amazing sea view from the attic bedroom and short walk to local shops, restaraunts, bars and harbour. Communication from Ann was excellent and would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing break in Fife.

Comfort meets location

Anchor Cottage met and even surpassed all our expectations, largely contributing to make our holiday in Fife a memorable experience. First of all its location: a few minutes walk from the coastal path, the bus stop to S. Andrews and Edinburgh, but also from the harbour, the main shops, the Coop and yet secluded with its inner courtyard, we didn't hear any noises from the street or from the other cottages. The house itself was furnished with literally everything one might need, even for quite a long stay like ours (three weeks). The kitchen enabled us to cook just like at home, with its variety of pots and pans and oven trays. We found abundance of tea, coffee, sugar, salt oil and vinegar, laundry detergent, dish soap, toilet paper: really, we couldn't ask for more! The bedrooms were also really confy, with abundance of bedding and towels and that fantastic sea view! The only thing that lightly set us down was not having the chance of meeting Ann, the owner. We got into the house through the secure lock system, we had no problem at all with that, but we thought that given the long stay we would have met Mrs Hair sooner or later. we would gladly have exchanged a few words with her, even only to compliment her for her lovely place. Luckily no problem arose while we were there so she had no reason to come by, but still... The only useful suggestion that we would make is to sort out differently the disposal of garbage, as more than once we had a bit of difficulty in placing our trash in the appointed bin as it was already full with someone elses's bin bags. perhaps a lock could do the trick. Other than that, we really can't fault the property in any way, so much so that we hope we'll be able to come back.

The cottage was perfect for our week in Fife. Clean, well equipped and very tastefully decorated. My only quip would be to stress that it is on three levels and that the stairs are rather on the steep side, that being said, great cottage.

Lovely cottage very cosy and comfortable, it has everything you look for only thing you need to take is food. Very close to the town but very little to no noise 2 mins from the sea front absolutely worth every penny would highly recommend Anchor cottage
