Spacious and in a good location. Very light and bright. Stairs to get to apartment and bedrooms might be challenging for some guests or for bulky luggage. Many tours pick up from the hotel across the street and there are a couple of restaurants nearby.

There was only 1 hand towel per bathroom for 4 guests staying 3 days. The bath towels were small and not in great condition. There were multiple pillows, but only 4 pillowcases. We sent a message to the host, but didn't receive a response.

Great place when staying in Reykjavik. Plenty of room for our family of 6 adults. Apartment has all the amenities. Very easy parking right in front. Conveniently located near a hotel for tour pick ups and taxi. Supermarket about 3 minutes away.Only downside was that it was a little bright inside the condo considering there was almost 24 hours of daylight when we visited. But we liked the place and would stay again.

My family of 4 stayed at the loft for five days. First the positive's; the location was fabulous, check in was a breeze, parking was free and right in front of the unit. All of these things were terrific and helped make our stay in Iceland fabulous. Now for the negatives: the place was not clean, it was dusty, and the linens were filthy- stained and disgusting. The kitchen had plenty of plates but no bowls. The cookware had to be cleaned before using as there was baked on food. The front burner on the stove did not work, toaster looked as though it had not been cleaned in a long time if ever with tons of crumbs. Overall we didn’t let it ruin our time but would not recommend.

Bright Loft Stay

This property was perfect for our family of 8. We had space to cook, spend time together, and explore the city by foot. There are plenty of restaurants and grocery stores nearby. The space is bright and clean. Recommend

Pros: Location! Great restaurant right below us, easy walk to city center with shops and restaurants, easy walk to park, local pool, zoo, gardens. Spacious apt, gorgeous views. 1st floor perfect for congregating/dining together. Cons: loft not truly accessible for adults (wall ladder not easy to use), stairs to get to apt, stairs in the apt not ideal for mobility issues, not enough supplies (towels,toilet paper, paper towels) for 5 people, linens/towels need updating, lumpy pillows, very weak WiFi, difficult to find comfortable shower temp, stove burners don’t all work.

Great place to stay close to everything

Great place to stay- property was clean and loft was In a great location! The Owner let us check in early due to our flight being an early one. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. The only thing that would have made this stay better would have been towels, toilet paper and black out curtains. Everything else was perfect! I would definitely recommend!

Family of 6; first time to Iceland

Convenient location, clean apartment, comfortable beds. Dryer is very confusing, instructions might be helpful for future guests. Maybe it's just me, but I picked this location because of the washer/dryer option and it was a struggle. This was our first VRBO stay , we normally stay in hotels. Good overall experience.

Great home near the Hilton Hotel

This is a great property at a great location. There were 5 of us. It has 1 and 1/2 bathrooms. There was some miscommunication re: how to get into the apartment. We called VRBO and they set us up in a hotel for our first night. By the next day, we were able to get in. It was nice that there were many basics there…sugar, coffee, salt, laundry soap ( and a washer and dryer). Many of our tours were able to pick us up at the Hilton, that was very convenient. Overall, we had a great time!

Spacious and great location!

We really enjoyed our stay at this place. Not only was it close to bus drop off and pick up spots (public bus, tour bus, and airport bus stops were all within 3 minute walking distance), but it was also close to a grocery store that helped us stock up for essentials. The apartment itself was extremely spacious and comfortable. My only comments, which are very minor, are that the key was a bit tricky to work with when locking and opening up. Also, the listing says there’s a TV, which there is, but we couldn’t figure out how to operate it. Ultimately, neither of these issues hindered our stay, and were merely observations. I would definitely recommend this place to folks looking to stay in Reykjavík. It’s close to downtown too, which made it great!

Nice Stay In Reykjavik

My wife and I met my son and my wife's brother, his wife and their daughter in Iceland to stay for 4 nights. We could all fit in the apartment, and felt comfortable. The second bedroom has a loft that could sleep 2 kids, each bedroom can sleep a couple and 2 others could have slept down in the living room if necessary. It was very nice being across from the Hilton Nordica (easy to get tour pick ups or taxi service). A few restaurants near made it convenient if we didn't want to travel for food. One night we cooked, and although two of the burners on the stove didn't work, there was a portable cooktop that we could use. Gunnar was very responsive to messages too. We enjoyed our stay.

Our stay was short because we decided to immediately move to another location, primarily in view of staining/discoloration of the bedding (even though I lost the large majority of what I had paid for the over one week stay). See the included photo of pillow, which is one of many we took. Basically, my wife was grossed out, and once that happened, it was game over for us. I’m giving an extra star because the owner was courteous in our discussions, though he disagreed with our assessment, and because he said he would look into issues I raised for future guests. Hopefully, this will not be an issue for anyone else. I ended getting another place, but because it was last minute, I had to get hotel rooms for the first night of my stay until the new property was ready. The new property had none of the issues I reported regarding bedding, and we ultimately had a lovely stay. My lesson learned is that I will never again rent a property with a “no refunds” policy.

Bel appartement lumineux et spacieux

Très bel appartement lumineux et spacieux. Bien situé, proche du centre ville (15-20 minutes à pieds). Seul petit bémol, il n'est pas précisé dans l'annonce que l'accès à la mezzanine où il y a 3 lits se fait par une échelle collée au mur, donc difficile d'accès pour des adultes et dangereux pour des enfants car le trou de l'échelle n'est pas sécurisé.

Schöne Wohnung aber abgewohnt

Die Wohnung ist sehr renovierungsbedürftig. Vieles ist defekt und wird nicht repariert. Die Wohnung ist außerdem nicht sehr sauber. Das Geschirr war auch dreckich. In die Dusche haben wir uns nicht reingetraut. Das Bett im Schlafzimmer steht auf Europaletten, ist sehr schmal und unbequem. Es gibt offene Steckdosen, was für Kinder sehr gefährlich ist. Wir haben uns in dieser Wohnung nicht wohlgefühlt.

Great location-friendly host

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The host was very helpful in setting up our trip. It was great having the Hilton so close to use as a pick up point for tours and travel.
