Chianti - maison de campagne très bien située et offrant de belles vues

La maison fait partie de l'aile la plus ancienne du Bagnaie, une ferme vieille de 300 ans située au sommet d'une colline isolée, qui a été transformée en 8 maisons privées en 1990. Toutes ont été magnifiquement restaurées dans un style rustique traditionnel, avec des poutres apparentes, de vieux sols en terre cuite et des cheminées à foyer ouvert, tout en bénéficiant du confort moderne : superbes salles de bains en marbre et chauffage central. Chaque maison dispose de sa propre terrasse pavée, d’un jardin et d’un accès aux superbes espaces communs, comprenant une magnifique piscine, un bassin pour enfants, un court de tennis praticable par tous les temps et un terrain de pétanque. La vue sur la campagne environnante est exceptionnelle.

Fantastic family trip!

We loved our stay in the Tuscan hills. It's a great location for visiting larger nearby cities and the pool was very relaxing. I would recommend this location and property to other families.

A fantastic relaxing retreat

My third stay at Le Bagnaie did not disappoint. The villa is just as described, very comfortable and well set up. An idyllic location with a great pool.

We had a lovely 10 days at Casa del Fico, enjoying the breathtaking view from the garden in April with all the flowers beginning to bloom. The house itself was beautifully decorated in the Tuscan style, and comfortable for our group of 5. It was the perfect base from which to explore all the neighboring towns: Siena, Greve, Radda in Chianti, Pienza, San Gimignano, Montepulciano, and of course Castellina in Chianti, the nearest village. Our favorite restaurant in Castellina was La Torre. And our favorate local wine was from the nearby vineyard of Lilliano.

This property is beautiful and the hosts were so good at communicating with us before and during our stay. This home is so peaceful and really serine. We had Serina cook for us one night and we had another meal and a half afterward. We hope to return again and spend more time here.

Beautiful Italian villa

We had 4 people in our party. We stayed for 5 nights. Villa was absolutely beautiful! Views from veranda and patio area were stunning! Villa was decorated nicely and had a lot of basic provisions. The property manager Jacky was a lovey lady and very helpful! . Loved our time there and plan to return!

Tuscany Villa

Amazing scenery. Believe all the pictures. Saw porcupines, wild boars with offspring and the town Castellina in Chiante is absolutely charming. We drove to Tuscany only to find we already had the same gorgeous vistas from the villa. Serena's cooking is simply legendary. Far better than any restaurant. Her zucchini flowers were a huge hit. Thanks again Serena. We were lucky enough to have her cook for us 3 nights! You do need GPS and patience on the last bit of road.

Beautiful Tuscan Property!

This is our 2nd stay at this property. Is it exactly what you imagine Tuscany to be like. Breathtaking scenery all around you. We would sit outside morning and at sunset. The views are amazing. We didn’t get to use the pool this time because it was a bit chilly but it is beautiful. The place inside is so cute! Rooms were big, beds comfortable and very clean. Having Serena cook dinner for us 2 times was definitely a highlight. It is a must! We highly recommend booking this for your Tuscany vacation! The town of Castellina in Chianti is a short 15 min drive and has the cutest walking street with shops and restaurants. Many wineries close by. Very convenient to seeing all the town in Tuscany.

AMAZING !!

This property checked ALL the boxes for the Tuscan portion of our vacation. We were excitedly impressed just driving up to it. It sits stately on a hill, and overlooks the surrounding beautiful Tuscan countryside. The well-maintained grounds are impeccable! We spent a great deal of time on lounge chairs by the amazing pool, overlooking views that belong on postcards. This genuine Tuscan villa provided plenty of space for the four of us (2 couples). It was very clean, well-equipped, and exceeded our expectations. Even though it is one of 8 units on the property, it felt very private. Our courteous hosts, Emma and Paul communicated very well, and were extremely helpful with our pre-trip planning. Jacky, our very attentive (local) go-to person, was fantastic ! We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Casa del Fico… It was sad to leave this magical place.

Paradis en toscane

Nous avons passé une merveilleuse semaine dans la maison d’Emma et Paul. Le bagnaie regroupe 8 logements tout en haut d’une colline avec une vue splendide sur la toscane, ses vignes et oliviers. On se croirait dans un petit village. C’est très calme et paisible. La maison casa del fico est très bien équipée. Un rdc séjour cuisine. A l’étage 3 chambres et 3 salles de bain. Et petit plus. Il y a la climatisation dans les chambres. Tellement agréable pour un bon sommeil. La location a une terrasse et un petit jardin. C’est vraiment un endroit exceptionnel. Le paradis. Paul et Emma n’étaient pas sur les lieux durant notre semaine mais toutes les informations nécessaires nous ont été transmises sans problème. Et il y a toujours un contact sur place. Nous recommandons fortement cette belle adresse !

Outstanding view!

Everything was perfect! The owners Emma & Paul are really helpfull, quick to react and friendly. The house manager is available but not intrusive, she makes sure everything is done to make your stay as confortable as possible. The house, appart from being fully equipped, is nicely decorated and have a lot charm. It has kept its history. The pool is giant, clean and beautiful and the long chairs are plenty. The location is strategic near Siena, Firenze and every smaller places to visit. But all those points are nothing compare to the breathtaking view you get from the top of that hill. From the pool or the south west side of the property the landscape is amazing! We were at first disappointed to not see that view from our terrace but being in the shadow is really nice during the Italian's summer, I can only recommand to stay at la Bagnaie!

We literally have adored this place and the house was very comfortable, well equipped, and simply warm and welcoming. The views around Le Bagnaie are exceptionally beautiful and filled us with joy and peaceful emotions at every moment of the day: When opening the shutters in the morning, when going to the vegetable garden for picking up some delicious tomatoes or eggplants for our lunch, when at the pool in the afternoon or early evening, when looking at the sunset in the direction of San Giminiano and looking up at the shooting stars at night! We enjoyed many going-outs, to Siena, San Giminiano, Volterra, Colle di Val D’Elsa and, as a crowning point, to Panzano to the very special butcher’s restaurant. We especially enjoyed the garden of Casa del Fico, a little paradise which invited to long hours of reading on the lounging chairs. We also had many walks in the immediate vicinity of the house, up to Fonterutoli, sparkled with encounters with deers and boars. Jackie, Serena and Cosimo were all real treats. Jackie the manager made feel very much “at home”, Serena, the cook prepared us feasts and Cosimo, the gardener, is delightful and charming and deserves the awards of the “ green palms”! We will come back even though we live so far away, with our sons and grand-children hopefully next times. Our guests ( friends and family) join us in celebrating the “ravissement” and we will all keep fond memories of these two weeks!

Agreable maison, faisant partie d' un ensemble de 6 maisons, bien restaurées, sur une colline avec vue imprenable à 360 degrés. Grande piscine à partager, tennis. Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit im Ferienhaus. Das Haus ist so wie beschrieben. Die Zimmer sind groß und die Betten bequem. Wir haben den schönen Garten und den großen Gemeinschaftspool genossen. Einzig die holprige Zufahrtsstraße ist am Anfang etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Absolute Empfehlung ist das Essen von Serena!

Sehr schöne Wohnung und Anlage, ideal für Familien

Das Anwesen ist einzigartig - sowohl die Lage als auch die Anlagen. Alles ist sehr sauber und funktioniert, die Küche ist für mehrere Personen sehr gut eingerichtet. Die Anlage selber ist sehr eindrucksvoll - man hat einen schönen eigenen Bereich, benutzt aber auch den Tennisplatz oder den Pool mit anderen Personen. Da nicht allzu viele Leute vor Ort sind, ist das kein Problem. Einziger Nachteil ist die fehlende Klimaanlage - im Juli / August, mit konstant über 30°C, wäre diese sehr willkommen.

Ideal für den Urlaub mit Kindern

Wir haben genau richtig gewählt und waren rundum zufrieden mit Le Bagnaie. Wir haben eine wunderschöne Anlage vorgefunden und durch Emma und Jacky einen Service erlebt wie man ihn kaum besser machen kann. Man sollte unbedingt nach Serena fragen und ihre Kochkünste genießen. Heaven on earth!

Le Bagnaie is the most beautiful place to relax and unwind while travelling through Italy. So picture perfect and serene! The pictures do not do it justice...it exieded all our expectations and more. Our beds were so comfortable and the bathrooms are stunning. Please have the lovely Serena cook a meal for you. So beautifully prepared with love and graciously presented. We would have stayed much longer if we had had the time. We will definitely be returning and staying for at least 10 days or more. Thank you to Paul, Emma, Jackie, and Serena for making our family vacation unforgettable.

Ideal Property to Explore Tuscany

This property was even better than we hoped for. We and another couple had plenty of room and privacy in this three bedroom two bath farmhouse. The grounds of the property are meticulously maintained with the classic Tuscan cypress trees, grape vines, olive trees, flowering plants and even a pomegranate tree bearing fruit adding to the ambiance. Try as we might, it was almost impossible to capture the beauty of the rolling vine laden hillsides while waiting for the spectacular sunsets which appeared nightly. The well equipped kitchen had everything we needed to prepare light to complex meals and we were happy that the on site garden offered fresh vegetables for the taking. As a bonus we took advantage of the offer of Serina who prepared a five course Italian meal for us at a nominal price. Although one could be happy just staying on this property for a week, Castellina in Chianti was the perfect place to explore the Chianti wine region. The location between the cultural and art capital of Florence and the medieval city of Siena made it easy to take day trips to those cities and other charming villages, wineries and to the coast. We didn't get a chance to meet the owners, Paul and Emma Tisdale, but they were very responsive and gracious via email and text. Tuscany was on my bucket list and I assumed it would be a once in a lifetime visit but now I'm not so sure. I would love to do it all again.

The property, house, location, and grounds exceeded expectations. The pool, the vegetable garden, and the walks from the house were all wonderful and dinner cooked by Serena was sublime! We hope to return.
