Incredible Cabin Hand-Taillé Place Log sur la rive nord du lac Supérieur.

Vous et vos amis et votre famille allez adorer ce, cabine carrée journal taillé à la main classique. La cabine de 4 chambres et 3 salles de bains a été construite dans la vieille tradition finlandaise sur un tronçon très privé de la rive du lac Supérieur, ine. La longue allée sinueuse mène à 5 acres de terre que vous pouvez errer. Rechercher et trouver les fleurs sauvages abondantes dans les bois ou vous détendre sur le rivage plateau-rock. Le porche de l'écran fait pour l'atmosphère de café du matin parfait, aussi. Cette maison tient vraiment le caractère de ce que l'on envisage une cabine historique du lac Supérieur d'être. Beaucoup de souvenirs de la famille ont été créés ici! Les propriétaires, qui vivent hors du pays et ne peut pas visiter très souvent, encouragent les locataires à profiter de leur bien-aimée Finn House. Les animaux sont admis avec l'approbation préalable.

If you are looking for an unplugged relaxing getaway, this is the place. Cabin is charming. Tucked away, right on Lake Superior. Great place to enjoy a quiet cup of coffee watching the sunrise.Located between many of the state parks and right off the bike path.Enjoyed hikes and the fall colors, and watching the eagles.Thank you for sharing this family gem.

Perfect Place to Relax

Finn House is eclectic in the way that only homes with generations of use can be. It was lived-in, comfortable, and clean. Everything was fantastic and we recommend a fire on the rocks.

Amazing property in an amazing place! Literally the best location on the North Shore. Waking up to lake views and breezes is unbeatable. Cabin is in a great location, accessible to all that Northern MN has to offer. We hiked waterfalls, shopped in Grand Marais, canoed the Boundary Waters, went to the beach, and generally had the time of our lives. You can tell the cabin is a special place where wonderful memories have been made. We can't wait to come back!

Spent a wonderful weekend with my four best friends in our most favorite spot in the whole world and the Finn house was the perfect venue! The house is located right on the rocky shore of Lake Superior with a spectacular view. It has four comfortable bedrooms, a homey living room with a great fireplace. This was our 2nd stay and we're hoping to return in the not too distant future.

The setting of Finn House is spectacular, with easy access to the stone beach and so much privacy. There was an eagle nest, complete with eagle family which was such a fun bonus. Finn House itself is a perfect combination of cozy but yet spacious and comfortable. Bedrooms were quite generous in size. The house worked well for our family group of grandparents, siblings and grandchild. Listening to the waves or just staring out into the lake is always so relaxing and wonderful. We were all so grateful to have such a lovely place to gather and spend time together!

Our great grandfather built Finn House in 1943, as his summer cottage. The logs were brought from a Finnish settlement and rebuilt close to the shoreline. His daughters loved the place, often spending months in situ. I first went in 1975 with my grandmother and father and like the generations before me - fell in love. My sons have followed suit. Until the pandemic I had been coming annually and have my artwork in local galleries. My love of trees and the wilderness was born on the North Shore, and informs much of my painting.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

Back in 1943 the area was a lot less populated. Highway 61 followed a different route and had been newly put in. It was built as a summer getaway for my great grandfather, who was then president of the Northern States Power company in Minneapolis. Each generation has fallen in love with the property and surrounding area, and subsequently passed it to the next generation.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Aside from modern utilities, Finn House has not changed a great deal and retains its log cabin charm of the 1940s. Two large windows gave a fantastic view onto the lake, offering a mesmerising view at times, and others powerful wave action. The shoreline is private and includes a secluded bay and a promontory, allowing enough space to explore. Despite the feeling of privacy - the cabin is situated a couple of minutes from 61 and the Gitchee Gumee bike trail - not far from the Lutsen ski resort, the Superior Hiking Trail and Tofte and Lutsen. Grand Marais is a 20 minute drive. And the BWCAW is accessible via dirt roads inland. The hardest issue will be deciding whether to stay home or go out and play!
