Cette belle villa se trouve au sommet d'une crête dans des jardins privés et isolés offrant une vue magnifique sur les montagnes de Monchique et la côte sud. Il est idéal pour ceux qui souhaitent se détendre en toute tranquillité dans ce hameau portugais typique avec des orangers, des oliviers et des vignobles à proximité.
Cette propriété très attrayante est lumineuse et spacieuse avec des portes doubles sur trois côtés du grand 36 m². salon qui est équipé de canapés confortables, poêle à bois, grande télévision britannique, salle à manger pour six et air / con. La cuisine / salle de petit déjeuner entièrement équipée comprend un lave-vaisselle, un lave-linge et un sèche-linge à double porte pour vous conduire sur une terrasse ombragée avec table et chaises en marbre, où les repas peuvent être pris avec vue sur la campagne. La piscine en forme de rein, entretenue chaque semaine, 10m x 5m et le jardin tropical environnant sont une caractéristique particulière de la propriété où vous pouvez passer des journées entières, vous détendre au soleil ou vous prélasser à l'ombre sous le joli gazebo en bois ou le patio du salon, ou regarder les magnifiques couchers de soleil.

Overall the property was excellent both inside and out generally furnishing good standard. The only problem we had was gales for 5 days which was not the owners fault. Great views and surrounding area.

A wonderful family holiday

There were four of us staying for two weeks and Casa na Colina had all we needed for a wonderful holiday. The pool and outside space are the highlights, particularly late afternoon and into the evening (when the sunsets are something to behold) and the villa as a whole is comfortable, clean and had all the facilities we needed. We certainly did not want to leave!Exploring the local area is easy as the villa is well placed to reach the many towns within a 30 min drive or so. Colin and Barbara are excellent hosts, providing help when it is needed - right from the outset - and they have a great team helping locally.

Villa with great views

The villa is set in a quiet location, car is essential. Beaches are about a 25 min drive and Silves is just a 10 min drive away where you can find restaurants, supermarkets and a fresh local produce market. The views from the villa are fantastic. The pool and outside seating areas are plentiful. The villa is clean, comfortable and well equipped. Great communication with the owner, Colin. We really enjoyed our stay!

Peaceful Spot to stay near Silves

The is 10 minutes outside Silves, in a quiet rural hillside location. You do need a car because there are no restaurants within walking distance, The villa is large and very well equipped with several terraces, including poolside, front and kitchen, so you can follow the sun, or hide from it, throughout the day. Very comfortable property with excellent support from owner/management if required.

Sunset Paradise

Just returned from a wonderful two weeks in Casa Na Colina. The house has everything you need, both inside and out. The pool is great and sitting on the terrace watching the gorgeous sunsets was a real treat. The house is away from the busy tourists areas of the Algarve but if you want beaches, water parks etc they are a thirty minute drive away, so a car is essential. The hosts and villa manager are very helpful and we would happily recommend the villa and we were very sorry when it was time to leave!

What a gem!

Colin and Barbara have a beautiful well equipped home, communication with both them and Debbie fantastic even to the point of calling us as we left something behind. Instructions for everything made life simple and easy. Excellent recommendations on local restaurants from Debbie and we had a peaceful and very relaxing 2 weeks. Silves is a lovely traditional Portuguese town with some excellent restaurants, a lovely castle and a friendly population. Thank you to all for their assistance, highly recommend anyone looking to book!

Couldn't have asked for more

First time in Portugal and the Hilltop Villa was a perfect place to stay. The house itself was wonderful. Had everything we needed and more. Spotlessly clean. Exactly as described. Housekeeping service in the middle weekend gave us clean linens and towels. The outside area also perfect for us. It was a little windier than we had expected (warm winds though) but if anything that made things a little more bearable. Lowest high was 29 but most of the days were 33/34. Pool was great. Communications with agent and the owner (Colin) were everything you could ask for. Would highly recommend. Everyone enjoyed it. Was a great base if you dont want to be in the middle of the real tourist hotspots on the coast but a half hour drive took you there.

Lovely villa, chilly pool!

This is a lovely villa with superb views mid-way between Silves and Messines. It is spacious, well-equipped, well-furnished, with comfortable beds. There are lovely outdoor areas - we had breakfast in the morning sun at the front, evening meals on the rear terrace, and late night drinks in the gazebo overlooking the pool. All great. We reported a couple of very minor issues we found when we arrived, and they were put right almost immediately, which was impressive. The TV signal was variable and the instructions complex, but British channels are available. The only real quibble Is the pool which is appreciably cooler than other villa pools we have known, presumably because it faces North. It also has a vigorous filtration system which, when we were there, was operating 24/7, making it difficult to have a really good swim. We know the owner has plans to address the pool issue for next year.

Ian and Lyn, sorry you had problems with the pool. We have now hopefully cured the cooling winds by investing in a cover and having a glass screen built at the end of the garden. The filtration pump is normally on during the night, but on this occasion the pool maintenance company left it on, in error, after cleaning. Barbara and I both hope this did not spoil your holiday. If you do return you will enjoy the pool more and the improvements we are making in the house and garden. Best wishes. Colin and Barbara. PS. We now have a new TV supplier which is problem free and easier to use.

Silves Villa Stay

The villa is absolutely gorgeous. I have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone choosing to stay here. Although we got a little lost leaving Faro airport we soon found our way and using Colin's directions found the villa with no trouble. Colin had also provided directions to the local supermarket so we were able to stock up on necessary provisions before arriving. Walking into the villa we couldn't believe how big it was! Everything had been thought of to make the stay as comfortable as possible. We opted to have the pool heated, even though the temperature reached 30 degrees while we were there, and this made the water nice and tepid rather than freezing cold when getting in. There is an abundance of pool toys as well as boules and a couple of other garden games. If like me you like to relax and read a book there are books in the villa too! We had a visit from Mike who is an expat, lives locally and does some bits and pieces for Colin. He was super friendly and recommended some good places to visit as did Debbie, the management agent when she visited on the Monday. For us, this was a week to relax and recharge and that's exactly what we did. We did do the Segway in Vilamoura (super fun), an Escape Room near Albufeira and the family crazy golf in Vilamoura too (not all on the same day LOL!) We would absolutely come back. Thanks so much!

Un havre de paix avec une super vue

Le jardin et la maison sont top. Pour la piscine si vous êtes frileux l option chauffage de l eau est recommandée. Enfin la vue est dépaysante et reposante au possible. .

After two years looking for a property in France,with no luck, we thought of trying the Algarve. Staying in our camper van gave us the best chance of seeing as much as possible, but the Silves area was for us.Within a month we had secured Casa na colina. We are sure everyone who holidays here will know why.

The lovely views from the pool and kitchen terrace towards the nearby hills, and Monchique mountains The spectacular sunsets and shading of the ridges as the sun goes down.
The views from the gazebo south, to the sea, especially impressive at night when the lights of the coastal towns can be seen.
