Perhaps the best stay ever. We are super hosts on another platform and appreciate the attention to detail and communication from host. Great location outside the chaos of Amalfi. Plenty of shops and restaurants plus trailhead for path of lemons nearby. Highly recommended.

Francescopaolo was a fantastic host. Communication was exemplary between him and my wife and me. He provided great insight and tips while in Minori and helped set up crucial transfers that made it worry and stress free. He made sure we were greeted with a smile and an complete introduction of the house by Stefania. The house is incredible, the view storybook. Easy 5 out of 5 stars. Incredible place and host.Minori was wonderful, much less congestion than other Amalfi towns. Very happy we chose that area to stay for our excursions. Will absolutely stay there again.

Great Location

Fantastic home, excellent location, well stocked kitchen, direct access to the ocean. This home had everything that we were looking for and was exactly as listed. The owner is super helpful and communicative. Would be thrilled to stay here again.

Amalfi Coast trip

Wonderful apt in castle of the Moors II. Right on the water, beautiful views, private gated parking. “Super Host” Francescopaolo was very helpful with exact directions to the property. Insisted on carrying our luggage & even returned the following day to escort my husband to the supermarket in a nearby town for supplies. Would highly recommend.

Best view EVER!

Francescopaolo was VERY accommodating especially with early check-in and late check-out. He went out of his way to make sure our taxi found the house. The apartment, even though 700 years old and historic, was updated, clean, and comfortable. Minori is a lovely quiet town and you don’t need to go anywhere else! We would definitely stay here again!

Highly recommend

We had a great time. Every aspect of renting this property was organized and easy. Francescopaolo is the best host we have ever had. He is responsive and very hospitable. Always willing to help with making recommendations and assist with accommodations. The property was well equipped, spacious and with lots of attention to detail. Locations is perfect with stunning view and walking distance to town of Minori with easy access to the ferry. This will exceed your expectation. Can’t wait to visit again.

Francescopaolo is the most fantastic host and made our first time abroad very easy, giving us lots of information and even arranging transportation for us at a good price. I have never stayed anywhere where the owner was this helpful. He is a true gem. The property itself is beautiful and is in just the right spot, being at most a 5-minute walk from the heart of the town. The property is very relaxed and quiet, with beautiful views, and is very comfortable with an A/C in every room. We stayed there with a family of five and had plenty of room. We went on to Rome and then Venice, but this place was our favorite. If we return to Italy we would definitely want to stay there again!

We had the most incredible stay here for ten days So very happy we picked this place and so thankful it is in Minori We used it as a base camp as we explored the lemon passage Amalfi Capri Pompeii etc and what a place to come home too If you like sterile squashy hotels this place is not for you This place is about having an incredible historical space Private and all to yourself It’s about sitting on the kitchen window ledge watching the changing sea and boats It’s about a sense of wonderment Good vibes Quirky artworks and the incredible hosts FrancescoPaulo and Stefania who went out of their way to help provide assist and accommodate every need or question On arrival our ferry couldn’t dock at minori due to a storm swell and Stefania came and picked us up and took us to the supermarket She showed us the best places to eat Took us to the castle and made us so welcome I cannot reccomend the castle highly enoughIt cannot be described in words but needs to be experienced So much love thought and effort put into every detail Francesco organised all our transfers Offered help when I needed a dentist It was great to have the kitchen and coffee machine to make our breakfast We loved the easy walk to town and the lemon passage We loved this place and if we return to Italy would definitely book it again Bellissimo!!! Magnifique!!!!

Don’t stay anywhere else!

I cannot say enough good things about our time at this apartment in Minori. Far before we even arrived, Francescopaolo sent a bounty of information about where to visit, where to eat, activities, ferry schedules, and much more, making my planning a breeze. When we arrived via ferry, Francescopaolo picked us up and drove us first to the grocery store and then up the short hill to his place. It is an historic Moorish castle, but the insides have all been updated with the latest appliances, finishes, and amenities (even an iron!) We rented scooters in town which made getting around a LOT easier, especially in the July heat. Renting a boat for the day is also a must for seeing all the towns, fancy yachts, and swimming in the clear waters. Minori isn’t a huge town, but it was lovely. Definitely check out this gem for your next vacation!

AMAZING!!

Based on the glowing reviews of the villa and the host and hostess we booked the Small Castle of the Moors for 11 days..the reviews were spot on!! Francisco and his wife Stefania were incredibly gracious to us. Upon arrival Francisco drove us to the local market for few items and then showed us his favorite restaurants and bakeries. He and his wife spent two days bringing us to Naples, Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvius ending with Stefania accompanying us into a larger market for food and supplies. Francisco continued to stay in touch with us throughout the 11 days and arranged a Lemon Tour for us and then surprised us with a quick trip to the hidden gem of Marina di Praiano beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the small castle which is a short distance to the bus stop and a 10 minute walk to the town of Minori where there are restaurants, bakeries and ferries to Capri, Positano and etc.. The villa was sparking clean and the views from the balcony and villa are spectacular! A BIG THANK YOU to Francesco and Stefania for treating us like royalty at the Small Castle of the Moors!!!

Wonderful stay in Minori!

Our family of 6 adults had a wonderful time at the “small castle” in Minori. The property was beautiful, with all amenities, and a spectacular view right on the water. Walking to the beautiful town was quick and easy, with less than the usual number of stairs - everything is on a hill so stairs are inevitable. One could also follow the road all the way into the town if stairs are too challenging. Parking in Minori is difficult and expensive so being able to park at the property was extremely helpful. There is a beautiful terrace for sunbathing and we also had a chance to swim on the beach close by. There is a wonderful hike through the lemon groves within walking distance of the property. Buses leave from the town or stop on the road right outside the property. The property is both highly functional and beautifully historical. From the moment we booked, our host Francescopaolo was an amazing guide and resource. He greeted us in person and provided a wealth of information and support to facilitate an incredible stay on the Amalfi coast. His responses were immediate and so full of rich detail. We were sorry to leave and would stay here if visiting again!

Everything was absolutely perfect! Franco was very very helpful with any questions we had before we even arrived! It was nice and clean and everything you need for a holiday! I would very highly recommend staying here! The swim area in the ocean at the bottom of the building was delightful💕It was an easy walk from the ferry terminal but just watch for the traffic while walking. Lots of stairs but not bad at all. People in Minori were so nice and helpful.

Amazing stay on Amalfi Coast

Amazing week spent on Amalfi coast. The views from the castle were beautiful. It’s just a short walk to Sal De Riso in Minori. Perfect location to visit other sights along the coast, especially if you are driving (there is parking included). Staying in a historic property with all the updated amenities was really special.

Wonderful holiday in stunning Apartment

Apartment was very spacious and just as photos, with good aircon needed in heat. Excellent access to sea, and we’d often swim round to the beach in minori for lunch. Francisco couldn’t have been more attentive to our needs, which included his brother driving me to the pharmacy to make sure I picked up the right medications for my son’s sore ears. We had a wonderful visit, highly recommend.

Luxurious, charming, convenient location w/ excellent service!

The Space. I can not overstate it but the house is enormous with ample air conditioning in all rooms (minus bathrooms and kitchen). It never took long to cool down the house, the water pressure was great, the induction range made stovetop espresso beautilfully. The interior and exterior are well maintained and very, very clean. Our host, even warmed up the jacuzzi for us. The views are breathtaking and they never get old. We had happy hours and breakfast on the partially covered terrace. The Neighborhood. Minori was the perfect town for us because we traveled almost exclusively by ferry (to see even more breathtaking views of the coast) and the house was super close to the port. There is really good fresh pasta and seafood to be had and our host had the most excellent recommendations. The pastries and gelato are pretty awesome too. On day one, when Francesco realized how much I love sweets he took me on a spontaneous car ride to not one, not two, but THREE different pastry shops in town until I was satisfied (not an easy thing to do). The Host. Francesco and his wife were just a dream to work with. He was always in communication with us before, during, and after our stay. He provided us with clear information and direction to make our stay as comfortable and easy as possible. Any time we needed a recommendation for food or activities, logistical advice, or clarification on his instructions, he would respond very quickly. Problems that came up were addressed the same day and always scheduled to not interrupt our time at home. We had some ants because the previous tenants failed to clean up a honey spill and didn't notify our host. But, Francesco and his team went to work immediately and aggressively to find the source of the problem and find a solution. We never felt neglected, even when his father fell ill and he had to divide his time further. He was the perfect host! Bottom line: Super big bang for your buck with a built in travel/tour guide and service with heart!

Thank you, really, thank you for the nice words and for your time that you have dedicated to writing this review. Surely, you left me breathless , speechless and you moved me . I spend all my energy for my guests. Almost always I can read the gradation in their eyes and I am gratified by seeing their smile. But I'm human too, and sometimes I can't do it despite my efforts. Some guests are benevolent because they understand that they are in a private house, and they appreciate my immediate commitment, some, instead, demand performance as a 5-star hotel ... I still try to help everyone without distinction. And as long as I have guests who appreciate my work, I will not feel tired at all, and it will mean that I am actually doing a good job ... for miracles we are gearing up. Thanks Thanks Thanks
