Appartement avec terrasses fantastiques 4 min à pied du centre de Otranto et mer

Cet appartement de 2 chambres est moderne et confortable avec air conditionné dans les deux chambres, et est nouvelle sur le marché. La cuisine s'ouvre sur une grande terrasse privée donnant sur les champs pour les repas en plein air obligatoire. Il ya aussi un accès direct à une terrasse privée sur le toit d'autres grandes (c'est à dire pour ce seul appartement) avec chaises longues et soleil toute la journée. Une heure de route de l'aéroport de Brindisi (desservi par Ryanair), il ya aussi un garage privé dans le complexe d'appartements fermée et un marché des supermarchés et du poisson dans une minute de marche.

Otranto: Otranto est en soi un historique, ville fortifiée avec un très beau château et la cathédrale et un front de mer magnifique. Jolie, pavées et ruelles sans voiture du vent à travers la ville compacte et sont emballés avec de superbes restaurants et de bars. La ville a également de belles plages et les eaux cristallines de la mer Adriatique.

Salento: Otranto est aussi une base idéale pour découvrir et explorer la région du Salento locales. Faits saillants: la belle route côtière au sud de Otranto - avec des vues et des grottes, il est souvent comparé à la côte d'Amalfi - et les longues plages de sable fin au nord de la ville. La magnifique ville baroque de Lecce (la 'Florence du Sud») est de 30 minutes en voiture, comme c'est le port de pêche de Gallipoli et les plages et stations balnéaires de l'ouest de la péninsule sur la mer Ionienne. Parmi les nombreux endroits d'intérêt sont la 'ville blanche' d'Ostuni et les trulli d'Alberobello coniques, comme le sont les églises merveilleuses et Galatone Galatina, et le joli port de Porto Césarée.

Puglia: Puglia est préservée en Italie et est légendaire pour sa nourriture et le vin, grâce à son ensoleillement toute l'année et les eaux bleu clair. Les olives, les poissons et les rouges et blancs vino sont fabuleux et font partie intégrante de toute fête dans la région. Le temps est chaud toute l'année et Juillet et août sont pleins de festivals et de la musique qui célèbrent cette merveilleuse ville.

Very complet apartment, with very nice terras

We stayed a week in Otranto, we 2 parents with daughter and friend. The apartment was big enough, very complet, 6 minutes from centre, own garage, good beds and bathroom and a lovely terras, where we spend many houres. We advice a day on the beach at Amini. Otranto is lovely too. A recommendation

Otranto - a place to remember

This was the perfect base for our escapades in Otranto and the "heel of the boot" of Italy. The fact that a garage was included was a real plus. Thanks for reviewing Peter and I'm delighted that you enjoyed Otranto. I'm sorry if it was not clear that there isn't an oven or dishwasher but I hope you managed to use the extensive gas hob and barbecue. The apartment is only available to rent over the summer months and is designed for four people only; Otranto is also blessed with so many wonderful restaurants and cafes. The fruit and vegetables are so fresh and tasty that we tend to eat light when at home. We'll review the property page to ensure that this is clearer for future guests.

Beautiful Otranto

We have had a really nice time in Otranto  and your apartment was perfect for us, and we really  loved your teracce, with  the pavilion, it was so nice to relax outside after driving aurond in the area,  and we discoverd many fine cliffs where we could enjoy the sun and climb down to the sea, we really loved  Roca Vecchia, north of Otranto. We drived to Gallipoli, and down to Leuca and it was so beautiful  along  the coast way. It was so nice and beautiful to walk around in Otrantos old Town. Everything was perfect. We have had a wonderfull time with our friends

Hi David, We have had a wonderfull time there with our friends. Your appartment was great. We enjoyed the terras very much. A beautiful private and silent environment where we did our reading, talking, playing cards and sunbath. Because I love cooking I have used your kitchen very often and with the fishes from the market at the corner and with help of your wonderful ! cook-books we have made delicious dishes. We made every day a short walk in Otranto. We were lucky to see a very traditional and folkloric procession because of the remembrance of the the martyrs of Otranto:” I marteri di Otranto “ Further we have visited others places like Santa Maria di Leuca, Gallipoli, Lecce, de villages in the greek region ( “greci salentina”). We enjoyed the beautiful panoramic coast-roads to the south as wel as to the north. Sometimes a refreshing shower but almost all days sunny weather and sitting on the terras! Again thanks for your appartment and your clear information all the time. It was also very supporting and thrustfull that there was a concierga close to the appartment! Magnifique séjour à Otranto

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour à Otranto, citée idéalement placée pour visiter le sud des Pouilles. Un grand merci à David pour ses informations, précieuses et intéressantes. Nous avons grandement apprécié l'aide d'Antonietta, malgré la barrière de la langue ainsi que le parking pour la voiture. L'appartement est totalement conforme à l'annonce, spacieux, propre et confortable. Nous recommandons vivement cette location où nous ne manquerons pas de retourner après le coup de coeur vécu dans cette belle région d'Italie.

Luminoso appartamento con una bellissima veranda. Vicino al centro ma lontano dal caos serale, facendo una piccola passeggiata si arriva al mare, al porto, in centro dove ci sono negozi,ristoranti, bar ...... È stato molto utile avere a disposizione il garage. Noi in 4 siamo stati benissimo.

Ottima posizione, veramente strategica a pochi passi a piedi dal centro e altrettanto comoda con l'auto per prendere la strada per visitare tutte le località balneari vicine. Indispensabile il box auto in quanto non c'è lo stress di trovare parcheggio. Proprietario e collaboratori molto gentili e disponibili.

La splendida Otranto

L'appartamento di David è molto bello, ben attrezzato, con una grande terrazza e con un comodo garage. Dista a piedi pochi minuti dal centro di Otranto. Lo consigliamo per una famiglia con 2 figli o una coppia.

Otranto apartment

Otranto apartment is a clean, functional apartment in Otranto. Rent a small car as the parking garage is a tight squeeze! Check in process was easy and David was very responsive to our questions. The apartment is close to a grocery store and a 10 minute walk to the beach. The street itself is not scenic but there is a view from the terrace of the forested area beyond apartment.

Wir waren 2 Wochen in dieser Wohnung und haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt! Großzügige Räume und sehr schöne Terrassen. Alles was man braucht ist vorhanden. Das einzige was vermisst wurde war ein Grill. Ansonsten alles top! Tolle Lage und ganz wichtig war die Garage! Wir haben uns in Otranto verliebt und werden wieder kommen!! Nochmals vielen lieben Dank, David... bis hoffentlich bald. I am married to a Finn, Johanna, and we have 3 grown up sons and 4 grandchildren (in 2025). We live in Sout West London in the UK. We both love travelling and enjoy cooking, good food and wine, reading, theatre and the arts, skiing and scuba diving. I am also a passionate rugby and golf fan.

I run my own company, having previously held directorships in retailing and publishing.

We both love Italy and wanted to find somewhere with great sunshine and authenticity and so investigated Puglia. Having travelled all over, we felt that Otranto had the best mixture of stunning sea, a beautiful historic centre, great restaurants and all year round activity. It is also a perfect base for exploring the region and wonderful towns such as Ostuni, Lecce, Gallipolli etc are all within easy reach. The food and wine in Puglia, and particularly the fish and seafood in Otranto, are fabulous.

Our apartment was unique in being in the right part of town, being on the top floor and having direct access to extensive terraces that didn't just look out over other roof terraces. In addition the private garage underneath the property was a real bonus.

We fell in love with our apartment initially because of the fantastic terraces. The weather between Easter and October means that you want to spend as much time outside as possible and having such a large terrace directly off the kitchen was very unusual. We have invested in a solid, wooden, permanent awning with floodlighting to enhance al fresco dining in all weathers.

Steps from this terrace lead straight to a private roof terrace that has a 270 degree view over fields and to the chiesi dei martiri. The apartment is modern, comfortable and easy to maintain. It is in the quieter (and more older and civilised) residential part of the city and is only a couple of minutes walk from the castle and the historic city centre. This is where the majority of shops, restaurants and bars are located, and the town seafront. Everyone comes there to stroll and have a cafe or gelato in late afternoon. We also have a local supermarket and fantastic pisceria (wet fish shop) within a minute's walk of the apartment.
