The Accommodation for 8 of us was excellent And the views and location first class.Elma was a very attentive host and we would definitely return.

The house is extremely clean. The beds were really comfy with extra bedding if cold. The views are amazing especially from the hot tub in the evening. Elma is really lovely and so helpful. If we had a query she replied quickly and tried her best to solve it. We were a family of 7 ranging from 74 to 6 and everyone loved it

Perfect Country and Golf Retreat!!

Our golf group of six men had a wonderful time at our home base in this beautiful country house!! Our host was friendly and easy to communicate with, and the hot tub after golf was a special bonus. I definitely recommend a stay!!

House was ideal for a trip away with friends, lovely location with great views over the water, and lots to do in the towns and villages nearby. Very spacious for 8 people, and the hot tub was a great extra too

Scotland jaunt

Beautiful house and a lovely host in a wonderful location. We enjoyed our walks to the nearby villages, up the Law, and down to the shore. The horses, cows, and sheep nearby, along with the hares, were an added bonus.

Great spot for Golfers

Hi Elma, thank you for being so accommodating, we had booked for 7 and showed up with 8, Elma said no problem and brought us a extra bed. Place is much nicer than the pictures, views are great out over the bay. For a great restaurant nearby I would recommend the Upper Largo Hotel. Thanks Again Elma see you next year. Collie

Nice rural house

This house is just outside Largo and about 20 minutes from St. Andrews. Lots of golf in both areas if you are looking for that. Great views from the house and among the horses and hiking trails. Nice hot tub that is clean and views of the surrounding hills and distant ocean. Modern kitchen and bathrooms with very good showers. I would recommend finding the property when it is not dark. The host is onsite with is an advantage.

Great Views

We stayed at property for 4 nights and was an amazing experience. Location was fantastic with great views, close to golfing and St Andrews. Elma was a great host and was always there to answer questions. Property had everything you could possibly need to support group of 8. Next time I will spend the entire time there instead of switching locations halfway through our trip. Yes there will be a next time! Highly recommend.

75th birthday golf trip

Elma was a great host. The house was clean and comfortable. Elma set us up with her sisters partner Harvey for a really fun golf outing at Crail. We walked into town a couple of times for dinner which was excellent. And there is nothing better than a hot tub to get the kinks out after a day of golf.

Country life

A lovely country farmhouse situated with fantastic while sitting enjoying the hot tub, this is a great place, in a great location for relaxing, walking or just to enjoy the area. Very well equipped house, Elma was always very obliging and quickly answered any questions we had. We used the local taxi centre for getting around and where very impressed with the service. We will certainly be back at an other time in the future. Thanks for everything.

Perfect getaway for a family gathering

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Barnyards. Recieved a warm welcome from Elma, who was a great host throughout the stay, answering any queries we had while there. The property is in a great location, offering amazing sights, quietness but not far away from the local beach, village, and shops. We enjoyed a lovely day out in St Andrews, about a 20min drive away. Our family, aged between 5 and 70, managed to climb largo law just behind the property (walking boots recommended). Was steep but worth the effort for the views at the top. The property was clean, spacious and all the family enjoyed playing the kinect in the evenings and soaking in the hot tub. This is a place we would love to visit again.

Amazing property in a Fabulous location.

There is not one negative to say about the property or Elma the host. We were a group 2 families 8 in total with teens, children and toddler and everyone had an amazing time - the set up of the house is perfect for a large group with amazing views and close to many towns - can’t wait to visit again - thank you.

Elma was an outstanding host, great knowledge of the area. The photos do not do justice to accommodation, it was just perfect, spacious, welcoming and very clean! Everything was supplied from kitchen to bathroom to bedrooms. Had a fabulous holiday, would definitely return. Already missing Nico!

Comfort and relaxation!

We had a lovely few days here - the property was exceptionally clean and very comfortable, and the location was peacefull, but close enough to towns to enjoy a nice meal out too. Taxi drivers in the area were familiar with the property, and had no problem coming to the farm to pick us up or take us home. The only issue we had during the week was that the only double bed in the property, in the lovely master suite, really didn't feel suitable for 2 adults to sleep in. It felt very rickety, and was very noisy - we had the 6 adults in our party in the 3 twin rooms, and our 3 year old grandson got the big bed to himself! However, there wouldn't have been much the owner could have done about that while we were there so we didn't raise it with her at the time. Really only mentioning it now for future reference! The owner was helpful and friendly, and brought us some nice loungers for the patio during our stay - to make the most of the sun. We really enjoyed our time at the property, and would recommend it!

We had a super time, loved the hot tub at night while looking out over the Firth! Spotlessly clean house that I felt happy letting our 1 year old explore. Very happy with our choice of place for a mini break! Thankyou Elma!

Great week away.

We loved staying at Barnyards, was spotless, and ideal for what we wanted. Unfortunately we had a few days of bad weather - which is where the kinect came in great, the kids loved family time on it. The only downside was the lights in the hot tub not working - however there is a floodlight that keeps it lit up, just kind of takes away the hot tub experience as such - but definitely didn't dull the overall experience. I'd say a 20min walk from Largo Bay, which is always worth a visit. We also did Largo Law - and were shocked at how steep it actually is - would certainly suggest dressing properly (we went up in trainers and shorts - was a mistake and caused a few slips) - but the view from the top is well worth the climb. Overall we had a great time, and would certainly book Barnyards in the future.
