Rachel's Place est un chalet que j'ai rĂ©novĂ© pour ma mĂšre lorsqu'elle a dĂ©mĂ©nagĂ© ici. Lorsque sa dĂ©mence s'est accĂ©lĂ©rĂ©e, elle ne pouvait plus vivre seule. Elle a dĂ©mĂ©nagĂ© dans notre maison avec nous. J'ai pris beaucoup de temps et de soin pour le rendre spĂ©cial pour elle. Maintenant, je vous invite Ă  profiter de Rachel's Place. Tout est flambant neuf. Il a tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour fournir une base merveilleuse et relaxante pour votre voyage. Signal Mountain est une belle petite communautĂ©, Ă©lue autrefois le meilleur endroit du Tennessee pour Ă©lever une famille. À quelques minutes en voiture de la maison de Rachel se trouve le front qui offre une vue incroyable sur la vallĂ©e de la riviĂšre Tennessee, Chattanooga et les montagnes Smokey. Il est suffisamment proche de toutes les attractions et activitĂ©s de Chattanooga pour un accĂšs facile, mais suffisamment Ă©loignĂ© pour avoir l’impression d’un environnement champĂȘtre.

Rachel’s Place is a unique cottage, with everything you could need. We happened to occupy the cottage directly during the terrible national storm. Since no one was registered to stay immediately after us, we extended our stay by one day to allow the road conditions to improve somewhat. It took eleven hours to return home, but we made it without incident. We absolutely loved Rachel’s place and hope to return sometime. The owners do a good job of anticipating the needs of their guests, since there was nothing at all lacking in what we needed, even during the difficult, frigid storm. We highly recommend Rachel’s Place.

So sad I could only spend one night here! The most adorable set up - it feels like staying at your grandparent’s house. Very spacious despite the size and a really nice kitchen. The hosts were so sweet getting everything prepared for us as well. Would 100% stay again! :)

The cottage was welcoming and comfortable. Screened in porch and backyard was peaceful and quiet. Kitchen and bathroom linens are well stocked, comfortable beds, and close to hiking trails. A wonderful experience with our awesome hosts Jerry and Debbie. We will definitely be back.

Welcoming with sufficient accommodations. The bread was amazing and a nice touch upon arrival. It was a little confusing trying to find the place as it was nearly dark. Driving directions were very helpful, I would just add that the house is located just before the church instead of just south of the church for those of us that are directionally challenged.

This little cottage was so clean and welcoming. The bed was very comfortable, there were plenty of nice bath towels, the paper towels and tissue were good & not the cheap thin stuff, the kitchen was well stocked and the location is perfect. It was nice and quiet and in a safe area. I wish the outside table had been outside instead of inside. It was a little small to eat at. But it would’ve been perfect for outside in the evening as the weather was nice. And the furniture was a little off for tv viewing but it worked out sitting on the little loveseat. My only complaint would be there wasn’t any furniture in the bedroom to take things out of the suitcase. And the light from outside the bedroom window bothered us at night. We had a lovely note and little welcome basket which was a nice surprise. We would definitely stay again.

Comfortable and charming

This is an ideal place for a couple, or small family with one or two children, looking for a comfortable, yet charming place to stay on Signal Mountain. Very convenient location and the owners were extremely kind, accommodating and quick to handle and fix a minor issue that arose. We highly recommend it!!

Truly Wonderful

This place was AMAZING!! 1000%As a person with anxiety I have few minor mentions for other neuro-spicy or sensitive folks, but I'd definitely stay again! They left fresh baked bread from a local bakery & fresh bouquet of flowers! The house was so cute, clean, very homey & comfortable, excellent heat/air. Tons of towels, which I love!Little mentions:1. I drive a lifted Toyota and I barely fit in the drive. 2 cars will fit but getting out made me nervous I'd hit the house or something, but a 3 to 5 point backing up turn, I got out. 2. I was under the impression it was a gated/locking privacy fence, so I drove a more expensive vehicle but it's just a little open parking nook around a fence. 3. I worried all night because there was no major lock to keep people out with it just being the electric keypad. So I slept like 3 hrs total. Maybe extra locks aren't even allowed on Vrbo rentals, I don't know. 4. It felt like a former Mother in laws suite, or guest house, as in location to neighbors. So when you pull in, you'll know. They're older and very quiet. 5. The opening to the church parking lot in the fence could be very beneficial for extra parking but it made me nervous because having eyes on that spot is a little hard from inside.Again, AMAZING HOUSE & AMAZING HOSTS! It had everything you could want or need. I never needed the hosts help for anything but you can tell they want you to be happy. There's so much cute stuff about this place that I don't want

Anniversary Getaway

We loved the cottage! Place was just as the pictures described. It was very quiet! When we walked in it smelled amazing. Bed was very comfortable! There was everything we needed available. Check in was simple. We were given clear instructions on how to get there. We took W road and my partner loved traveling down it. We will definitely be back!

Love the place. Soft bed and pretty location. Neighborhood was nice. Close to the city and hiking trails. I recommend if you are coming from the Chattanooga side to take 127 up to the place instead of Anderson pike. Anderson has quite a lot of tight switchback turns which might be tough if you aren't used to them or have a longer vehicle. The house was cute and was a comfortable quiet space.

My wife and I moved to Signal Mtn, Tn in 2002. My wife recently retired. We have two daughters, Sara and Jenny. Both our daughters are married. Sara is married and lives in Chattanooga area with three children. Jenny is married with one child and lives in Brooklyn, NY. Rachel's Place is a cottage that I completely gutted and remodeled for my mother when she moved in with us. However her dementia has accelerated to such a degree that she cannot live by herself. So she moved in with us and we made the cottage into a vacation rental. Debi loves to decorate inside and out. I love to work with my hands building things, taking something that has no value and making it into something. I love to read, Debi loves yard sales.
I know while traveling sometimes you don't feel like neighboring, so we will stay out of your way unless you have a question or in need of something.

Signal Mountain is a great community. It is one of safest places to live in Tennessee and was voted at one time to be the best place in Tennessee to raise a family. Signal Mountain reminds you of Mayberry of Andy Griffith fame. Living on the mountain separates you from the hustle and bustle of the city but still affords a short drive to all the attractions of the greater Chattanooga area. If you decide to stay at Rachel's Place you can rest easy knowing that your staying in a safe environment.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Rachel's Place is around 650 sq ft. It has a sun room with windows all around that views a private fenced in yard and woods beyound. The kitchen has custom made cabinets with an island whose top was made from heart pine found during demolition. A open format, living room and kitchen, combined with a cathedral ceiling makes the living area very comfortable. The bedroom is nice and cozy with lots of light and a large closet. The bathroom is handicap accessible with grab bars around the shower and toilet. The toilet is also handicap in that it higher that a normal toilet. The shower is tile with a seat. The sidewalk, entry, and all floors are all one level, no steps. The heating and air conditioning is a through the wall heat pump. There are ceiling fans in all rooms except the bath. The fenced private yard has a gate that you can close and latch for your precious children to have some freedom to roam without worry. The drive is private with two parking spaces that are free. If any problems arise we will be immediately available to make sure your stay is a pleasant experience.
