Maison artésienne en pierre bordant les ruisseaux Sawmill et Little Sequatchie. Immense, unique, pont en pierre surélevée avec foyer pour les réceptions. Les chevaux sont les bienvenus et une petite grange est disponible pour l'embarquement. Situé sur 15 acres dans un endroit privé et isolé parfait pour une escapade privée. La propriété borde le centre de formation Trials et se trouve à quelques minutes de route de Monteagle, qui abrite des attractions telles que la magnifique et historique université du Sud, le golfe Savage, les Foster Falls, le plateau de Cumberland et les portes en pierre. La propriété est également à 30 minutes de Chattanooga et de la montagne de Raccoon. Des centaines de kilomètres de sentiers de randonnée et de course à pied vous attendent dans ce joyau parfaitement situé, situé à quelques minutes en voiture de partout!

This property was perfect for a peaceful, disconnected get away. I loved the property and surrounding area. There was plenty of things to go do close by. I would definitely rent this place again.

This a very secluded property with close proximity to hiking. I would advise a truck or higher profile vehicle as drive way is very rocky. Large boulder type rock, if I had driven my car it would have bottomed out several times.

The cabin was what you expect it to be but if you are afraid/allergic to insects then beware. It is deep in the woods so hard to avoid it but be prepared. We did have to leave after one night just too many spiders.

Everything was as listed. Although we couldn’t find the swimming hole, I did not ask. We had a lot of excursions we went on with the kids and honestly the water would’ve been too cold for April anyway. The house is secluded but not too far away from civilization. The house is beautiful and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend our spring break. Nice break for the fast life.

You will need to hike to the back of the property onto the Otting Track WMA to access the Little River. There are map in the info booklet or at the trail entrance.

Read all of the reviews…always!! A week before our trip I read recent reviews. The May 26 review mentioned spiders and they stayed one night and had to go! The host commented it’s a very secluded area and to bring bug spray. My assumption was the spiders were outdoors. WRONG! Are people really supposed to bring bug spray to stay indoors???!!!!We arrived after dark. It was pitch black. Entry was made and the first thing we see is a cricket or something the size of a hand, in the kitchen! Just a big cricket, no big deal. That was the only bug incident the first night. Second night: returned from dinner and I was breaking the dog crate down, BIG spider on the crate. The crate was in the downstairs bedroom. Then a huge wolf spider with babies! And 5 other spiders. All downstairs. It’s safe to say my upstairs bed was cozy. Still the second (and last) night. My daughter was in the upstairs bath when she started screaming. A freaking cockroach on my toothbrush on the bath counter! If I can upload photos in this review, I will! Couldn’t get out of there fast enough the next morning!Trash…you can’t even leave a bag of trash! How incredibly tacky with the fees charged. Also, if you check out on Sunday, the dump the host directs you to opens at 1pm. Impossible.I will say that the baths were clean as was the kitchen. The bugs were the reason I write this review. Never experienced anything that gross and I hope they invest in a professional bug guy.

I'm not sure what happened. Maybe someone left the door open. I have never seen spider inside the house. I ask everyone to turn off the light so not to attack any bugs. can't. I will have and exterminator come out. I was up the today and I did not see a single insect inside the house. And yes we don't have trash pick up in our county. People where come up and leave bag and bag of trash that we had to haul to the dump. That was fun at all after a few day in the heat and old beer draining out. Thanks for letting me know.

A charming, secluded retreat that worked well for our family visit. It was a short stay for us and we would have liked more time to hike and explore. Dog loved it! Saw lots of deer, right outside the house.

It was a great weekend stay, relatively clean and accommodating. We loved the uniqueness and the history behind the home. My only complaint was only 2 burners on the stove worked, and even those were a struggle to use. No TV’s in the bedrooms. And the silverware was dirty and we had to wash it all before we could use it. So very minor fixable complaints. Overall it was a wonderful experience and we would love to come back some time!

Upon arrival, the property had many issues. The lights in the upstairs bedroom and bathroom did not work, a stove burner was not working, a chair in the living room was broken and there was no working smoke detector. We also experienced the red water that was mentioned in other reviews. The house was in a good location for us but overall the experience was not worth it.

Great host! Great cottage.. they have WiFi now so the comments about not having service is no longer an issue. The property is gorgeous and a short drive into Chattanooga if you want to see the city. Would stay here again when I come back.

The 1 chair in the living room has both front legs broken and we couldn't use it. The creek boardering the property is a dry creek bed. House was okay but had alot of privacy. Really good if you ride dirt bikes with the riding area next door.

Yes, the creek is dry in the summer and fall. Sorry about the chair,I keep fixing it and it keep breaking. I'm going to give up on it😂

This place is amazing! I came in for a wedding in Whitwell and needed a central location for others to stop prior to our meet up. My service pup and I enjoyed the area, the home and the drive to the venue. I plan to come back again as it is the perfect retreat yet within access to conveniences even this vegan needed. Thank you so much for giving access to the amazing place.
