This property is not the best. The photo you have on your sight is far from reality. It looks like a huge yard in the back of the house and a river, it has a yard alright but its in front not more then ten feet crom the road, the kids 5 i had 3 of them could not go out to play because it was so lose to the road. Their was no smoke alarms or cabon detector, which I was nervousThe house is very old and it has a lot of antics. I did not enjoy it at all. I feel i should some money back, my plans when i picked tbis place was because of the big back yard.which was the opposit i noticed it the difference in a few minutes. Oh the beds were horrible ,they are as old as i am and not comfortable at all. The sink in the bathroom was pluged. A big money back is what you should do. I have booked with you si nce 2years and i rented a trip in Niagara falls Canada, paris france and spain. And this one. It was terrible.

Property was misrepresented in pictures and did not meet our needs. Even though the house is 6â off of a busy, noisy road it could be better. Itâs almost like the owners are not trying. Definitely wonât stay again.
Check in was smooth, house was great. Big enough for everyone in my group with room to spare. We had a wonderful time. I was slightly disappointed with two things. One the access to the river was not good. A set of stairs or a better path down would be awesome. Two: We didn't realize the house was right on the road. All that we could hear were the cars going by at night. Our family enjoyed our stay very much.
This place was perfect. We loved being right on the river. We were close to everything only ten minutes from lake george. We found other lakes all 20 mins away. The town was beautiful . The house was great and we loved to be right there in the river playing. The scenery was beautiful. We just had a great time
Perfect location, deck overlooking river & outdoors was are savior . Where do I begin? There was no game room. Itâs a broken down childâs pool table in a barn. House is full of fire hazards .We could barely take showers water was backing up into the toilet eventually it overflowed after every use. I reached out to the host multiple times she eventually responded with her husband was coming to fix with a plumber .That never did happen as we toured community for miles in warm weather only to get back yo house with nothing fixed. I reached out with my patience thinning she ended up coming to house unannounced as we were sitting by fire she was rude, shouting profanity upset she had to deal with these plumbing problems at her age. She got into a confrontation with my female guest as she got in her face we had to brake it up . She screaming threats to us of her adult sons getting involved, how she can get in house without a key , then yelling we could use yard as bathroom ( her words were vial) this review will not allow the real truth to be told. Nor do I have enough time to write all hazards of the house, from faulty wiring, no carbon monoxide, detectors, there was a smoke detector with no batteries dated 2013. I have so many photos unfortunately this review will not allow me to post them. My advice is to run unless you like the outdoors by the river thatâs thatâs The only thing going for this place.
It serverd our purposes very well right on river easy access for kyacks. Very nice setting and plenty of room forr my family 10 in all.if i had to complain at all it had a few issues with cleanliness upon check in ( like old coffee grounds in coffee maker) but like i said served us well and would recommend for a family.
I have read a few reviews of this house and I believe it is important to know what to expect. If you are looking for deluxe accommodations, this is not your place. If you are looking for a comfortable place to stay with a large group and pets, this is it! This is an old farmhouse with peeling wallpaper and paint, but itâs clean, homey, comfortable and has lots of bedrooms. Itâs very close to all the fun of Lake George but in a quiet area next to the river . It has a Gorgeous lighted deck right on the river, we played games and ate breakfast here. . (Itâs not buggy) Overall a great stay. We had a blast! FYI- Maybe bring your own pillows.
This VRBO property is in disgraceful condition. Dirty surfaces, moldy bathroom, peeling paint and wallpaper and mouse droppings inside the bathroom. Ridiculously overpriced. As a person who grew up in this region, I am ashamed that this property is available for rent.
The property was very nice and a good location to get to a lot of things to do. . Beautiful deck by the river and had a nice spot for a campfire. House was a good size and layout but kind of run down with plumbing issues in upstairs bathroom. Overall we all enjoyed our stay there
I stayed here with 11 friends as part of a weekend getaway. By far, our favorite part of the property was the deck and the river. While there is not a lot of beach front, we spent many hours floating on the river in our tubes. The house is also a short drive to Lake George and hiking, which we took full advantage of. While we had just enough beds for everyone, I'd say 12 adults (with multiple couples) are the limit. The twin and bunk beds aren't really ideal for adults. Also, one shower for a dozen people was rough. That said, Glenda was great and responsive, and the house itself was cozy. We definitely enjoyed our stay!
Glenda was absolutely wonderful answering any questions. Very easy to find. We had 2 King Charles Spaniels lots of room to run. The house is a little dated needs some holes fixed. Plenty of hot water, washer and dryer fabulous, tons of towels and beds were great.Beach area was really not there. Sketchy climb to get down the hill to the water way to hard for my elderly parents. But nice deck and view. We would stay again Thank you
Great deck overlooking the river! Kids enjoyed their time using our paddle boards and kayaks - launched right off of the property! Also loved the pool table and wraparound porch. Glenda was very responsive!
The farmhouse was wonder, cozy and a/câs everywhere. The outside dock, picnic tables and dinning room all roomy accommodating us all. Love the barn and pool table, the river was by far the best part. Warm ,clean delightful to sit by or swim and fish.. weâll definitely be back, thank you Glenda, Joann
