Cette belle maison de vacances est idéale pour une retraite de couple avec son cadre paisible et son intérieur confortable et romantique.


Située dans une vallée boisée et calme à la périphérie du village populaire de Hartland, cette grange convertie a été achevée à un niveau élevé. Approché par une route étroite et étroite, long de ¼ de mile, détaché et entouré de son propre terrain avec un verger qui surplombe la vallée et la rivière en contrebas, il constitue un charmant refuge de vacances romantique et agréable. La région a beaucoup à offrir, comme le littoral du patrimoine, populaire auprès des promeneurs et des ornithologues. Le village populaire de Clovelly, avec ses rues pavées pittoresques et son port pittoresque, est facilement accessible. Les plages de sable et les attractions locales à proximité. Tamar Lakes pour la pêche, la voile, les sports nautiques à moins de 15 miles. Golf, équitation sur place. Boutiques ¼ mile.

A comfortable clean compact cottage in an incredible location close to Hartland Quay and Hartland Point, the only minor issue being the sharp entry and exit to and from the drive. The cottage being upside down with the living area on the first floor and bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor is well equipped kitchen wise and an enormous double bed and dog friendly.Overall a very pleasant comfortable and welcoming cottage.

The cottage was exactly what we were looking for after a very stressful year. The cottage was clean, well equipped and cosy for a couple who want lots of walks in the countryside. The local pubs, shops were well stocked and the people very friendly. We have no complaints and hope to return another time.

We had a wonderful stay over Christmas at Thimble Cottage. A great spot for visiting Hartland Quay and Point then onto Clovelly Village. The cottage is well equipped and the bedroom has a comfy super king size bed. We will definitely return for another break here :)

It's a nice location for sightseeing also what with the A39 being close by so you can head off east or West. Some lovely walks close by also and is ideal for dogs. Would highly recommend

Thimble Cottage exceeded our expectations.

Thimble Cottage exceeded our expectations. Very well equipped, very clean, warm yet professional communication and attention from host. Lovely cottage and garden filled with bird song (technically probably gardens as there were 3 distinct areas around 3 sides of the cottage). Great location for us, on a quiet lane but short walk to the village where there were 2 well-stocked shops, a cafe and several pubs; lots of nice short dog walks from the cottage as well the coastal path and access to the shore just a couple of miles away. We wanted a distinct, quiet time to mark our transition to retirement- we can thoroughly recommend February at Thimble Cottage for such a purpose! … our dog loved it too.

Thimble Cottage is the perfect getaway.

Thimble Cottage is the perfect getaway. It’s located in a really pretty valley with plenty of walks. The cottage is immaculately clean , the super king bed really comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. Owners, Heather and Peter throw in a lot of extras and keep guests up to date with village events. Every imaginable tv viewing is available, so if the weather is typically English, you can catch up on box sets. We would highly recommend Thimble Cottage. An outstanding well appointed cottage, with everything you need to enjoy a relaxing time deep in t

An outstanding well appointed cottage, with everything you need to enjoy a relaxing time deep in the beautiful North Devon countryside and rugged coastline. The upside down cottage is well equipped, clean and has a lovely big bed and good size bathroom. The garden is adequate, has patio area garden chairs and a good BBQ. Thimble is positioned 5 minutes walk from local amenities including a couple of pubs, local shop and fish & chip shop! Plenty of beautiful coastline and wooded walks surround Thimble cottage, and with Bude and Bideford only 30 minutes away options for days out are plentiful. The owners take great care and pride in ensuring the cottage is clean and well maintained. Perhaps a little expensive, bit then you pay for what get! In conclusion, we could not fault Thimble, and we thoroughly enjoyed our peaceful relaxing stay in Hartland. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

A beautiful tiny”thimble” cottage in a lovely peaceful setting.

A beautiful tiny”thimble” cottage in a lovely peaceful setting. We were the first in after opening following lockdown so a few things removed. We wanted for nothing ...all you could need was there. Upside down living was nice as we have lived in similar...works perfectly for access to the gardens. We were blessed with the weather so enjoyed the outside,an orchard garden out of one door,fully enclosed for the dogs,with seating and shade if you needed it. A further patio with seating outside another door,leading on to a lovely grassed area (not enclosed). The bedroom downstairs was a good size with the bathroom leading off. Water pressures good for a lovely shower. All bedding and towels were quality. The hallway access was tiled with a basket with doggie towels and bowls. What really topped it all was the communication with the owners,they genuinely care about you being comfortable and having a good time. A lovely surprise of gifts too was really appreciated. The village was maybe not at its best but this was to be expected under the circumstances,not all pubs open and those that were offering limited services. We did visit one and sit outside and the local shop and post office were friendly and helpful. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Had a wonderful stay. The cottage is so well equipped and has everything you would possibly need. Dogs even have their own towels and hand baked dog treats as well as a bed if you forget to bring one. Our dog settled right away. Lovely little enclosed garden straight from the living room where they can potter about without be able to escape. Best cottage we have ever booked.

This is a stunning little cottage, beautiful maintained and in a great location.

This is a stunning little cottage, beautiful maintained and in a great location. Near enough to the amenities in Hartland but with a quiet remoteness. The garden is so well set out with chairs that at any time of the day you can catch the sun which we did all week. Both the living room and bedroom were very spacious and a nice large bathroom. The bedroom and bathroom is downstairs with the lounge/kitchen on the 1st floor to take advantage of the sloping garden. It did confuse our dog who is not allowed upstairs at home so we simply walked him up the path and entered through the kitchen door. The only thing which could improve this property is a separate toilet somewhere upstairs - but this is not an issue. Beware of the parking area which is quite steep and has to be taken slowly so you don.t bottom out the car and we found we could only reverse out one way and had to drive round the block to re - enter the drive but we do have a large Audi. It was all very manageable. The views are exceptional and every evening we sat outside to watch the sun set over the wood.

An excellent cottage for two plus dogs, very clean and comfortable with a small fenced garden area which is ideal for dogs. Communications with the owners were great and they provided welcome bubbly, beer and dog treats which was much appreciated. There is excellent dog walking straight from the cottage (along a river valley) and we really appreciated scenery and walks around the Hartland area.

What a brilliant cottage! Perfect location for a peaceful break.

What a brilliant cottage! Perfect location for a peaceful break. The welcome wine, milk, Tassimo coffee pods and doggie treats were a nice touch. The Dog proof garden is excellent, the TV amazing. Ideal location for exploring North Devon, with lovely walks for Bruno (my dog) and stunning scenery on the door step as well. The local village shops and pubs weren’t bad either! Definitely a place the owners should be proud of. Lastly, the view of the stars from the garden on a clear night must be seen. Thanks?

Had a lovely stay at Thimble cottage over Easter weekend. The owners were very accommodating and made an effort to stay in contact during our stay. The cottage was exactly what we were looking for, even better than the photos. We particularly liked the enclosed garden for our pooch. Whole cottage was extremely clean and had everything you could need. Bed was very comfy and felt like a 5 star hotel. We will be returning as soon as we can

A truly delightful cottage where everything has been thought of.

A truly delightful cottage where everything has been thought of. The location is on the edges of Hartland village, just a short stroll in to the centre up a steepish road. It was the perfect spot for us with our two doggies, with a lovely river and meadow walk right outside the door and the doggies loved having their own, very secure garden. The bed is the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in ! The cottage flows really well and there is everything you could want for a holiday stay and some very thoughtful extras. Heather and Peter were very helpful and welcoming. Highlights in the area were Hartland Point, Hartland Quay and the walk to Speke’s Mouth waterfall, Docton Mill, Hartland Abbey which was breathtaking, as was Brownsham woods to the cliffs walk. Thoroughly recommended.

Relaxing and peaceful setting. Great local amenities considering the sit-up. Fabulous cottage with all amenities and really well presented. Would highly recommend.
