A beautiful country getaway! We went in June and it was the perfect winter escape - cute, cozy, and an amazing view of the clouds rolling in on the hills. Our dog had the best time sniffing around with the horses.

We loved the location - close to town but felt so secluded. And the cottage was really comfortable & cosy. Beautiful outlook over the farm as well. Was a chilly weekend so was great being able to have the fire going!

Balingup Birding trip

A 'no fuss' pet friendly stay in a characterful place. Many mature trees on the property and scenic paddock views really made our birding trip memorable.

We stayed with our dog and young son. Such a beautiful and peaceful property. We loved saying hello to the horses each morning and seeing the kangaroos hop past in the field.Some minor issues eg fireplace has crack in chute so could become a bit smoky, and no cooking spray/oil (but we knew there was limited supplies etc). But overall it was an amazing stay and great value for money.Thanks for having us!

Great little cottage

The cottage was well presented, and communication was excellent from Al, the host. The rustic accommodation is perfect for a relaxing holiday, and the location is great. We would recommend!

Absolutely perfect!

Everything about this stay was incredible. The cottage was cosy and stayed super warm with the fire going. The property was so peaceful and stunning. Can’t wait to return!

The property was absolutely lovely and so peaceful! I stayed there with my toddler and two dogs and we had really nice time. The house was super clean and stocked with everything we needed. The host was great to deal with and very patient. We will most likely be booking again in the near future! Highly recommend.

Nice little getaway

We were down from Perth with our dog gor a weekend away. The accommodation was just what we needed, the photos are a good indication of the layout and amenities. Super clean, comfy bed, and a great fire and heater, so despite the cold weather we were cosy. Very relaxing and easy get away..

Quiet, cosy and comfortable

We enjoyed the atmosphere in and around the accommodation. Greens, raindrops, birds and kangaroos. Woodfire gave us a relaxing time. Love this cottage.

Perfect quiet getaway

The cottage is a beautiful little getaway. Quiet, peaceful, minutes from the town of Balingup so you can drive in and get something from Foster's Bakery! Photos are accurate. Communication was very good. We would love to stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The views and surrounding scenery were absolutely stunning, perfect for anyone wanting to truly disconnect and be immersed in nature. The location strikes a great balance of feeling secluded while still being accessible.It was also fantastic that the property is pet-friendly. Our dogs loved it just as much as we did, with great walking spots so close by. It made the whole experience even more enjoyable being able to bring them along and explore the area together.One of our favourite parts was sitting out on the veranda, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere, it was incredibly relaxing. In the evenings, the cosy fireplace made the space feel even more inviting and comfortable.Overall, it’s an ideal getaway if you’re looking for tranquillity, beautiful surroundings, and a place to unwind (with your pets too). We would definitely stay again

Our Stay

The setting was beautiful and the view from inside lovely. We had a lot of little bugs inside and the trees on the roof were very noisy at night. We enjoy the peace and quiet and loved seeing the horses. They were very friendly and happily ate carrots and apples from our hands. A lovely stay with my daughter.

Cute Cosy & Comfy

A peaceful and serene stay on the outskirts of Balingup, tucked away on a beautiful private property with gorgeous views & friendly horses that visit. No TV but a warm log fire, board games and books....perfect place to unwind with simple pleasures to entertain. Rustic simplicity at its best....thank you!

Nice quiet get away! Location was easy to find and kept clean. Unfortunately no hand soap which was an inconvenience till we brought our own. Bathroom could have been cleaned a little better. Over all nice relaxing place with friendly horses. Will return in the near future.

Although the place was rustic we felt that some essentials could have been provided or at least informed they were not included - no microwave - no hanging for clothes as there was no where to unpack, no complimentary shampoo/conditioner in the bathroom - no hairdryer, only seating outside for 2 and the chairs have seen better days, the tea coffe and sugar were passed their sell by date too - communication was absolutely excellent but we felt it a bit on the expensive side for what was provided

Lovely property but needs maintenance

Property is looking a bit unloved and neglected. Needs a paint inside and garden needs work. Minor maintenance -doors hard to shut, family of lizards living on front deck, trees growing into windows. Air con not working to capacity. Someone has really done hard work initially on this restoration and this farmstay property could easily be beautiful again. Area is scenic and resident horses Jack and Bowie enjoyed our apples!

Hi Wendy. Thanks for your review. As it happens we are pausing accom bookings shortly to freshen up. The cottage is booked consistently so it gets well used, but also as a result gets a bit knocked around. It’s popularity also makes it tricky to find a window to do works. But we recognize it’s due. Hence the pause. We hope to have you back to visit when it’s refreshed. A
