A practical, super comfortable home in a quiet and peaceful location, literally minutes’ walk from the beach. Beautiful walks around and close to the stunning Meelup beach. Also an easy drive to Dunsborough and Busselton for supplies and activities.

Very comfortable cottage in a great location.

We really enjoyed our stay. My kids loved exploring the garden. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was very well equipped.

Sweet spot

Super cool beach house, great location. A short walk to Eagle Bay beach perfect for an arvo drink and swim. Short drive to the waves of the northern end of the cape. Hits the sweet spot between dad's surfing, mum's walk, teens cafe's and wholesome family time.

Eagle Bay Secret

Gecko is a great property for a break away from the day-to-day grind. Clean, comfortable and close to the beach - the property is well described and will suit those who aren't in need of high maintenance. We look forward to a return visit.

A true holiday house

We loved this place. With attention to natural and quality utensils and furnishings it was superbly furnished and simple. It brought back memories of summer holidays before air con, insulation and mod cons became a common addition to holidays houses and as a result, was at times hot (no air con) and we had to open up the house or guess what.... go to the beach to cool down! I loved staying here. The sofas and chairs are super comfortable. The deck is rustic and is the perfect viewing point for the black cockatoos, blue wrens, blue tongue lizard, parrots and various other animals who love the nature garden. The beds were comfortable. The 70s tiles, laminate and design were super cool. The additional outdoor shower and loo looking out at the stars was an added bonus. The only negative was waiting until 4pm for the cleaners to finish before we could check in. Thanks for a great and very relaxing week.

Excellent beach accommodation

Had trouble entrering property as did not have correct code, which at the time was very stressful. Would have been nice to have picture instructions along with written instructions for the house. Also we bought linen, sheets anf pillow cases as it said was not included but it was.

Eagle Bay is one of the jewel's of the south west and so too is Gecko beach house. We needed some. quality family time and Pete and Gecko beach house delivered in spades. Thanks so much Pete, love to stay here again and build more priceless family memories.

Wonderful week

Lovely quiet location a short walk from the beach. Despite the wintery weather the whole family had a wonderful time, plenty of walks with the dog, surfing, games and chatting round the fire. We will definitely be back.

Good location improvement required

Shower did not drain well, taps zapped us. One of the lights in the room did not work properlyDeck is old and needs work. House had no downpipes. Water dropping on the deck was really loud since there are no downpipes. Are where the key lock box is was totally flooded since there is no down pipe.

Family stay in Eagle Bay

Good facilities for a family in a fantastic location in eagle bay. We have 2 young children who loved the bunk beds and the ability to play the games and puzzles that were kindly left out. It is an easy walk to the beach, even for the just turned 3 year old, so we made the most of that. We saw whales from the shore and enjoyed walking (or running) the surrounding coastal and bushland trails. Thanks Peter for leaving out the Cape to Cape book for us to make use of. We would love to come back for sure!

Perfect hideaway

We loved how this place is nestled into a native garden - with winter sun beaming in, birds singing and the fire roaring! It's is so close to the beach but is the perfect little hideaway.

Great house and facilities. Sadly, the floors had not been washed and were very dirty. Overall the house was fine but not particularly clean.
