Great spot. Better then the pictures and with all the mod cons you need for a nice get away. Only negative was the massive Jellyfish put me off jumping in the water!! Bar that id highly recommend.

Great having you stay Billy Totally agree that when those jellyfish make their seasonal journey along the coast, and make a visit to the river, they look like a bunch of alien critters floating by!!! See you again out of jellyfish season!

Our first River stay at Mackys

What a wonderful long weekend away we had at this gorgeous home. We had everything we needed thanks to Jacqui and her recommendations and guidance. We'll definitely be back to embrace the river life. Hopefully we'll get a few more fish next time 😉

Just Perfect

What a lovely place to stay. We used to stay in the property next door many years ago and watch this property (Mackys) be rebuilt. I can certainly say the owners have done a great job. A beautiful outlook and a very comfortable cottage. Can't wait to come back and enjoy the views and the relaxed atmosphere that this setting offers.

A relaxing weekend

We had a wonderfully relaxing weekend at Macky’s. The property is absolutely beautiful, impeccably presented and well appointed. The photos do not do it justice. Both bedrooms look out on to the water. You can also enjoy the water views from the veranda or park yourself on the wharf. The furniture is very comfortable with modern facilities and appliances. If you want a quiet, relaxing get away very close to Sydney, this is it.

Macky’s Milsons magic

We searched for and found a pet-friendly waterfront holiday with a difference. Absolutely relaxing, first few days of doing very little, reading, sleeping, walking and exploring the majestic Hawkesbury in our rented tinnie. Some friends and family came up for a night or two to share the experience. Can’t wait to book again. Exceeded our expectations and met all our requirements.

Fantastic getaway

Fabulous cottage right on the waters edge, truly gorgeous. Beautifully decorated, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen, undercover area with firepit. Our pup enjoyed the front deck as well, great spot to watch the world go by.

Macky’s is a must!

This is the second time my partner and I have stayed at Macky’s and the place just doesn’t disappoint! We will absolutely be back again. The cute, tidy house looks just like (if not better) than the pictures. We stayed with another couple for two nights and had the most relaxing weekend. Make sure to grab a burger at Spencers Store and book a seat in at the Oyster Shed.

A Holiday Stay done Perfectly

Mackys was an amazing birthday long weekend away for my wife and young kids. The house was perfect for what we wanted and was incredibly well kitted out with the kitchen equipped with everything you needed. Mackys was warm, inviting, calming and was full of adventure. Water views and your own private jetty but also up behind the house is a perfect hill for exploring with the kids. Kangaroo Curve, more caves than you could count and breathtaking views of the Hawkesbury if you were willing to climb high enough. Fishing off the end of the jetty and catching bream and flathead was great for the kids .... and Dad. The BBQ area and fire pit to the protected side of the house provided ample space to entertain with a few glasses of red and sparkling enjoyed as the sun set. Mooney Mooney was the boat ramp closest to the house and not more than 5 minutes to the house passing the historical Milsons Island as you went. Jacqui was fantastic throughout with friendly and responsive messages and my overall impression was just a generous offering that rates 10 out of 10 for the experience we were after. Loved it!

Tranquil beauty on the river!

Enjoyed a well-earned 50th birthday weekend with good friends in this quiet, peaceful, tranquil property on the Hawkesbury River. Excellent air and heating facilities, BBQ on the deck and clean spacious house. Ideal for families as well, will be returning here.

Perfect weekend getaway

Everything you could possibly want on a weekend away was here. Super friendly hosts, romantic cottage in the perfect location, amazing sunset with fishing rod and champagne, a short boat ride to lunch in magic weather. Take me back!

Wonderful

Mackys proved to be a delightful haven for our long weekend get away. From the moment we stepped inside to the gentle glow of candles burning and the relaxing tunes of Nora Jones to welcome us, we knew this was the perfect place to enjoy our Hawkesbury holiday. The property is very comfortable and homely and was well equipped to provide us with everything we needed. An absolutely wonderful place to enjoy the tranquility and splendor of the Hawkesbury. Highly recommended.
